Also I saw this once as fan art but I must say it as an Ornn fan. There was fan art of Volibear and Ornn traveling in a two seater motorcycle. Now I just want a roadtrip skin line where there are Fanny packs, Hawaiian shirts, and could tie into Birdo and pizza sivir for fast food tie ins for champions as well.

What's so problematic in a cop skin for Voli? You yourself said that it's funny comedic depiction of the police.
I think it's less in the fact that Voli is a cop and more in that Riot itself is perhaps the exact opposite of the pseudo-force the skins wishes the company was.

Captain Volibear is one of my favorite Volibear skins simply because of the GG Volibear video and Gorsky's SoloQ Police plotline

How about a Teddy bear skin dressed up as Theodore Roosevelt in the toy time skinline? Voli doesn’t have any cute skins, they’re all “badass warrior lightning demon bear”, it would really stand out.

For a skinline I'd like too see Voli in, I would say a God's Eye since Soul Fighter may have hinted at more of those in the tournament ending. I could also see him working well with Empyrean (I think I spelt that right?) since I believe monster champs benefit from that universe the most.
Except both those choices suck cause we all know Volibear deserves a Bee skin. Either make him a Honey Bear with beehives on his arms and bees on his back or just make him a big ass bee that is covered in honey.
I'm surprised he has no mecha skin with how over-saturated that thematic is.

For ages when I 1st started playing League I was an old voli main through and through, he was the 1st champion I got Mastery 7 on and is just one of my all time faves, El Rayo is probs my favourite skin of his just cause it's goofy and fun. I would love to see him in the april fools toys skinline so we can get Teddy Volibear
I dont play League anymore, and never was really intrested in skins, so Im not sure if I understand how it all works. Why after champion gets visual updates(of any kind), some updated skins stay unbuyable? Like, why do you update them if there gonna stay in legacy? When you make them better put them again in store. Only I think its stupid?
I actually love runeguard volibear, feelks like a classic rpg shaman/druid and fits perfectly with his kit, i also love his son of durin looking armor

Id love a kaiju skin line volibear. Like giant angry bear. He already has that "im bigger than you and gonna fuck you up" vibes
He’s probably more popular than other monster champions because he’s a fucking masterclass in design. Warwick and Fiddlesticks might have him beat in kit faithfulness as actual reworks, but as champion, Volibear reigns supreme. There’s so many different ways to play him- Full Tank, Full AP, AP Bruiser, AD Bruiser, Lethality (I think, idk if this is still a build since Prowler’s removal but his AD Ratio on Q and R are super high, and his Total AD Ratio for W is good enough), movement speed oriented builds, cdr oriented builds.. Basically everything except for on-hit which is kind of sad because tanky on-hit seemed to generally be Old Voli’s best build, but even then, there might be a way to make that work that I just haven’t heard about before. His kit allows for so many different things, and it’s not just the kit.
It’s the voice, too. He still sounds big and burly like Old Voli, but now he has this added gruffness and aggression he never quite had. Personality is great, he shows all of the traits of Old Voli (loves fighting, hates cowards, no pity for the weak or his enemies, wisdom, strong willed), but now he has all this extra shit with him being a god and wanting people to remember him (almost reminds me of Old Yorick in a way) and being afraid that his home is just forgetting him. He’s a god who’s having to deal with his own version of morality and even though he puts up a tough front he has lines which show just how scared he is of a future where the ideas he embodies are left behind. Great character. Not to mention he has a lot of lines, like a LOT, especially for a champ in mid 2020. Three different jokes, two taunts, a line for just DANCING, four different laughs like the good days of old, and a very solid amount of interactions with other champions.
Then there’s the fucking animations. I was so upset when Voli was chosen for a VGU because I was sure I would miss his amazing dance, but I don’t, because IT’S STILL THERE. Not only is it still there, but it’s even BETTER, even down to the little funny hop he does when you spam the dance, which is a detail I don’t think they’ve EVER kept for ANY VGU before or since, considering they DELIBERATELY made him do this when reanimating and basically 1 for 1 recreating his old dance, but then it gets even better when he breaks his fucking spine and goes limp for 3 seconds before raising his fingers in the air in a repeated loop, which was the BEST part of the old dance. They preserved and improved on that small detail in every single way. That just shows the team’s passion on this.
It’s not just his dance that’s great either. ALL of his emotes are that vibrant and spammable, and for some reason he even has a unique FIFTH emote that makes him roar and can be used without interrupting his movement cycle? No other champion to my knowledge has that. It’s just him. They just went that extra mile for no reason. They really, REALLY poured their hearts out on this champion VGU for some reason, in comparison to Aatrox or Galio where they just scrapped absolutely everything (except their dances for some reason??? lol) and made entirely new champs, or Mundo, Mordekaiser, and Udyr where they just took pre existing champs and dumbed them down a bit. But nope. None of that here.
New Voli is just a fun and well made character, and his champion theme is among the greatest themes the amazing music team has produced. I can only pray that Skarner’s immediately upcoming VGU will be this good, even though I doubt it would be. Still, if they want more people to play him, that’s the route they should go. God, I love this champion.
I love the joke skin was ranked so high. It's reminds me of Rush Hour which is a goofy and fun movie which is what Voli/Trundle duo give off

When I first started playing league back in December 2021 I was playing with my friend in bot and we had a jungle voli.
He had prestige duality dragon and came RUSHING down from river to the enemy tower and ulted it and we destroyed the enemy. I thought that skin looked so cool and my friend recommended voli saying he thinks I would like him.
Voli then became my most played champ and I spent a lot of money to get prestige duality dragon lol.

Everytime I see that Duality Volibear Skin, im reminded of Sly Cooper and the Panda King’s level title art have the exact same aesthetic which is sweet.
I 100% agree on making skins based on a champions concept designs. Sett is one that always comes to mind. And while I don't particularly care for a targonian aspect of might skin, I'd do care for the piltovian robo-butler and THE FREAKING DARKIN BRAWLER!!! I always get miffed when remembering that Sett could have been an awesome monster champion.

Northern storm Volibear was the first skin I ever bought o9n league. The skin got absolutely gutted post rework, IMO pre rework it was his best skin.
LOR could (focus on could) make the Thousand Pierced Bear the Level Up Volibear or something like Sion, after Volibear dies, you shuffle a Thousand Pierced Bear into your deck

04:05 I didn't own Volibear pre-rework, but got the skin for free at one point after I owned him. No he wasn't from a prime capsule, nor a chest. One day, I straight up had that skin. So maybe you get him, when you have Volibear. And yes, that skin is awesome.
It counted if it was the same patch plus the patch after it released.
If you got Voli in the first 2 weeks(so the first patch) of his rework you got the skin for free.
At the time I really wanted to buy him but a friend told me Voli isn't good and I should get another champ with BE instead. I regret not getting Voli back then.

fun fact, during WW2 poland had a bear in the army that they used to transport ammo and supplies around the battlefield (and drag wounded soldiers from what i recall).
So the military having a bear as a spec ops isnt too farfetched in a fantasy world.

Weird idea, but why not explore other animals for Voli (we already went with a tiger and it's not like Warwick hasn't done that, changing a wolf to a hyena) so... Why not have Volibear in the "Mad Max" univers, but instead of a bear, it's a honey badger... go ham with it Riot, it could be amazing.
