If somehow, the Philippines can get industry going and build a car. They would build pride and eventually turn their country around. I think PI is maybe slightly worse off than Korea and China were in the 50's and 60's. Get industry going, build a car. Get an influx of world wide income. Look at Mexico and S. Korea now. More people like Manny Pacquiao would help the country immensely. Less corruption, more global thinking needed now.

    When i was in Manila in the late 90's for working attachment me & my colleague saw this kind of hardships families in a makeshift paper board homes near the shorelines. They were scavanging rubbishes to look for food to feed their famiy especially the youngs ones. For the whole 2 weeks of attachments in Manila what we did is we individually took a few black plastic bags from the hotels & when its breakfast & dinner time in the hotel, we would stuff the black plastic bags with all the food from the hotel & each of us would walk out the hotel secretly just to go & distribute the food to the hardship or needy families. We were so happy to see them having a great meal once in their life time. At the end of our working days in Manila, my colleagues & I donated all our left overs cash amounted to US$680 & convert it to PESO's and distributed to the homeless infront of our hotel. They need it more then us fellas.

    • @holmiumh

      Here's in the capital city of California we have a fixed "infrastructure fee" of $15/mo that's created a while ago simply to subside the rich people that can afford to have solar panels, for my family that's 100% electricity tax all thanks to Obama and his "green" initiatives (I guess when they say green it's not exactly about trees and grass). I guess they count of the fact that democrat voters don't read their bills and I'm afraid they are damn right about that one. 100% tax for not having solar roof ?! who the fuck is for that?

    • @OJtheOZ
      @OJtheOZ Před 5 lety +5

      @@CroaticusMagicus Doesn't look like that because I've been using almost same thing too in the past. That bulb usually 18-34 Watt and the fan usually around 40-70 Watt so the math won't cost that much and that is too much.

    • @CroaticusMagicus
      @CroaticusMagicus Před 5 lety +2

      Actually, you're correct. That bulb is CFL (at first glance it looked like old incandescent one to me). And if that fan is only fan, and not fan/heater combo - then it is as you said, well under 100W....hmm. It's weird how that works, right? For example, in Croatia avarage salary is 30% lower than in neighbouring Slovenia, but expenses are 30% higher...

      You are doing good Manilyn, keep up the good work, don't get caught. I am married to a Filipina from Laoag, she just came back from visiting her mom there. Don't worry about those who will look down on you, someday you will defeat those people. I come from a very poor family, even though I am an American. I know about not having enough to eat and nice clothes, nice things as I was growing up but through hard work and determination, I have left all of that behind although life is still a struggle. Be proud that you work and have a job, your success in life is entirely up to you. Your English is fine and understandable. Take care.

    Here in New Zealand we throw away so much food. I've worked in places where perfectly good food are thrown away when it could be given out to feed the poor and homeless. It's against the law to eat it or give it away, it's a criminal offence. Instead they're tossed in the rubbish and taken to the landfills to feed the rats and seagulls. Too many people in this world take their lives for granted. Bless this girl and her family.

      North American CZcamsr Not if they add a disclaimer - the law is easy to work around *if* they wanted to do it. E.g. Today's sale item can't be returned regardless but that same item, were it not on sale, can be returned in most cases. Fast food places are some of the dirtiest industries around, food sold vs food thrown in the trash have zero difference - both have an equally high chance of making people sick. This is one of the rotten sides of capitalism. There are a number of companies in the US and UK that have stores/co-ops where food usually tossed in supermarkets can now be donated to these places and put to good use. They should do this with all restaurants as a law-this prevents the waste of millions of innocent animals and feeds those in need. KFC, McDonald's etc. have the worst animal welfare policies - the least these places can do is something that helps another.

      Dude you are stupid for even writing this. God exists and it shows every time you breath or heart beats. It's called life and he gives it to us. People like you would say "Well why do he let people starve". Well he don't and this is why you are hearing of this. He is sending us to feed them...STUPID SELFISH FOOL

      Anime Music All right everyone against Christianity a few things there is needed to be said, first off, God doesnt just get mad right away after we mess up, we are imperfect creatures that sin, He is an understanding God, John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son, so that we may not perish, but have eternal life" meaning He gave the most priceless Being to suffer for Us. He must really Love Us.
      You may have the fallacy right away that A and B are automatically the cause and affect.(referencing specific people's arguments only) You are no where near knowing anything about God when you barely if at all know who you are. As an ex athiest, Jewish Christian, protestant, and current Catholic I hope to inform you I know of God much more than your ten second scripture reading has done for you. Learning about historical and biblical context is key to understanding God and all His parables, revelations, apparitions, and more. God inspired with The Holy Spirit The Third Head Of The Holy Trinity in men, so that they would only speak the Truth according to God. Yes God gives us free will to accept what is reality but that does not change what is in actuality a.k.a. Truth in the real real world. (I.E. Whether or not you accept there is a Tree on the other side of a wall, and you only see roots around here - is up to you. The roots may not mean 100% there is a Living tree on the other side, but our belief of The Tree's Existence certainly does not change whether or not it's there in actuality. Actuality is different than our personal realities created by our mind. You don't know God if you don't even know how to distinguish these differences. You might know Of God, but you do not know God.
      Second He Isnt just some fairy tail person made up, heres reason to why He has to exist: Without mover an object (matter) such as a domino cannot move, therefore there must have been a mover, if there were no mover, then the object would be still, there could not have been an infinite row of dominoes just pushing eachoter endlessly or we could never have reached this point because it would take forever (literally) to have reached this point, or the point before, or the point before that. there must have been a God to have started the big bang explosion, the endless energy must have a point of origin, the multi dimensional theories could be the reason why we have this matter now, but the original origin comes from where outside of that universe?
      Things move when potential motion becomes actual motion, only actual motion can convert potential motion into actual motion, nothing can be potential and actual, therefore no object can move itself, therefore everything in motion has been moved by something else, sequence of motion cannot extend infinitly, therefore it must arrive at a mover, this must have had a creator (God) or it would be crazier to say that immobile matter moved on its own. reason number 2 for Gods existance: we perceive a series of effective causes in this world, nothing exists prior to itself, therefore nothing of this universe (or any amount of universes and dimensions) is the efficent cause of itself, if a previous efficiant cause does no exist, neither does the thing that results. therefore if the first thing in a series does not exist neither does the series exist. the series of efficant causes cannot exist cannot extend into infinity, or there would be nothing existing now(like explained with the dominoes) therefore it is neccisary to admit a first efficient cause, which is known as God. reason number 3 is that since we that we find in nature things are possible to be and not to be, that come into being and go out of being, or contgent beings. assume that every being or thing in these universe(s) are contentingent beings. therefore it is impossible for the things in this universe to have always been here existing. therefore there could have been a time where nothing where this universe is existed. therefore at a time there would have been a time where nothing could bring what is now existing into existence. therefore nothing would be in existence now. we have reached an absurd result from assuming that every being is a contingent being. therefore no every being is a contingent being. therefore some being exists of its own neccissity, and does not receive its existence from another being, but rather causes them, this is who we know is God. fourth reason is gradatoin. we can see some things are better than others: some are better, some are worse. reference to degree need an uttermost case, (hottest or coldest guides the knowledge of a degree). The maximum. If there is to be a Ranking of perfection then essentailly there must be a completely perfect being to be comparing to and which to all beings is the cause of their being, goodness, and any perfection, this we call God. The Fifth reason towards Gods existance. we see that natural bodies work toward some goal, and do not do so by chance, most natural things lack knowledge, but as an arrow reaches its target because it luve detected by an archer, what lacks intelligence achieves goals by eing directed by something intelligent. therefore some intelligent being exists by whom all natural things are directed to their end, and this being we call God. without a God this worlds probability of survival would be lower, we just so happen to have exact heat and distance from the sun, exact gravity, exact timing to emerge and live beyond the major extinctions of this world. There was mire likely to have had someone pull the strings for survival than to not have someone be helping Us from total extinction.

      Anime Music God doesn't give us anything we ask because God isn't a vending machine. In scripture when He promises to give us what we Pray "to ask"(old english) He means give us what is best for us and if we ask we grow closer to Him. Knowing what will be asked for doesn't change the need for us to come closer to Him. That's why we pray.

      They have no schooling. Because they cannot afford to go to school. Therefore, they can not read. So given books to someone who can read. Does them no good.
      TV have learning show to watch, for young children learn. I watch sesame Street. And I learnt my A,B,C and how to count, add, and subtract and multiply, and divide. And to read, my colors.
      As long as the children sit and watches learning channel. It will give them some education in life.
      So nothing wrong in a TV.
