Metric has only been the official system of weights and measures since the late 60s. That’s only about 55 years.

As a child in the 70’s, all my math and science classes were taught in metric in the US, all the way through college in the 80’s. I’m still puzzled why we didn’t switch over yet 🤷🏾‍♀️

I grew up in the Netherlands, so metric all the way. Then I moved to the UK, and learned imperial as well.
It's not rocket surgery, but it does my head in when people mix metric and imperial units in the same sentence... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
