I love your reviews of Chinese food reviews the best! The food looks delicious but a bit pricey. I would try a Din Tai Fung in another location though based on your review. I'm glad to see the good review of the Din Tai Fung in Vegas and passed it to my sister who is leaving for Vegas today. I've tried Din Tai Fung in southern CA (cannot recall which location) several times and each time the wait to be seated was 2-3 hours. By the time we were done eating, it was always late afternoon and almost dinner time. I live in San Francisco and there is a Din Tai Fung in Silicon Valley but again, I hear the wait is very long. I know there is no comparison but the frozen soup dumplings from Trader Joe's are pretty good and no wait time.

Thank you for showing the proper way to eat soup dumplings! If you go off Strip to Chinatown in Vegas, you will see more normal prices.

I go to Vegas about 4 times a year and eat at Din Tai Fung at least once per trip. My staple here isn't the dumplings. I order: Cucumbers, Baby Back Ribs, Hot and Sour Soup, Braised Beef Noodle Soup, Shrimp Fried Rice. It is expensive, but get comped with casino comps. You must have come at a chill time cause Din Tai usually requires reservations even for Solo. And you have to try the chocolate or sesame or taro dumplings especially the chocolate once.
Nice! My mom used to make those cucumbers at home! Those are good! I’ve only been to Din Thai Fung in China and my aunt is from Taiwan~ I think there were more items on the menu in the past
