  • As three-dimensionally cross-linked microgels, carbomers do not dissolve but swell to a remarkable extent in water after neutralization to form a gel. Thus in order to disperse / hydrate Carbomer effectively in water to produce clear-like solution, the Multimix Inline High Shear Mixing System is indispensable. The triethanolamine acts as a neutralizer thus thickening the solution to form gel.
    The deaeration process can be done multiple times with vacuum mixer to achieve the final product texture without unsightly air bubbles.
