      Same! And remembering it was why I suddenly realized it’s where I know the Westworld mind control bass melody from. The show offers the explanation that it’s the first few notes of a classic piece of music but in reality it sounds so much more like this than the piece they cited.

    • @Unknownlll123
      @Unknownlll123 Před 9 měsíci

      I absolutely love the chimes on any clock, it must be the bell ringer in me. I have a mantle clock with these chimes which I saved for and it was so worth it, I would love a Grandfather clock but my house isn't big enough, the ground it stands on has got to be level and they cost so much to service, and if it stopped for no apparent reason it would freak me out because of the history of them. So I'm going to keep with utube. 🎶🎶.

    I remember every morning when my mom was leaving for work, she'd drop me off at my grandpa's house since he would watch me while she was working. It'd be early in the morning, like 6 or 7AM, and my grandpa would still be asleep just for a couple hours. And I was pretty young, but my mom and grandpa trusted me to take care of myself and be fine in that short time he would still be sleeping. I'd sit and watch cartoons in the living room until he woke up. Octonauts, Yo Gabba Gabba, Bubble Guppies, the list goes on. Anyways. He had a pretty big house, and it would always be completely silent while I was watching TV and my grandpa was sleeping. But every now in then, through the silence, I would hear this start to play faintly in a few rooms down. I had gotten so used to hearing it became like white noise, and it was actually comforting. At the time it meant nothing to me obviously, it was just a random sound from a clock. But hearing this now makes me feel so weird there are no words to describe it.

    We have a 50 year old Ridgeway grandfather clock it is flawless and sounds even better than this video sounded. Do you think it would be very valuable? I believe it is oak and was made on 12/01/1974.

      There is a clock shop I visit in my area for repairs and the owner has an oak Ridgeway Grandfather Clock from around that time for sale, I'm not sure if it's the same as yours but it was priced at $700.

      That’s because almost every bell tour in England plays this so no matter where you are you hear it and it becomes ingrained into your mind.
