I love how your home does not have to be perfect and you work with what you've got . So many houses are decorated exactly the same it's nice to take your time and not expect everything to be 100% your taste . 😊
I think the mirror fits that space perfectly! There are so many straight lines that could use a little bit of softening up, so the oval shape of the mirror solves that. I also find the size to be just perfect. I'd say go for it.

Hannah, I have a small terrier mix as well and she was all out of sorts due to chronic ear infections, scratching etc. The vet wanted to put her on allergy medication and we ended up purchasing a food intolerance kit online and doing an oral swab. When we mailed it back and got the results, she came back allergic to beef, and highly intolerant to chicken amongst other things. Fish came back good though and since we have her on a Salmon brown rice blend. She has not gotten an ear infection in 3 years and the itching went away :) It's worth a try! Often times food intolerances are a good thing to explore!

I think the mirror looks really nice! You definitely want an oval or arch shape to break up all the tile lines. If you aren’t sold on the mirror I think gold trim would also add some warmth to the silver fixtures. A lot of people mix metals and it usually turns out really nice

I like the oval shaped mirror but I would choose something with sleeker edges and some shiny chrome trim to make the bathroom sparkle a little ✨💖

The mirror is great and works in the bathroom. Add some plants too, I understand why you are not redoing the bathroom completely so just add bits and bobs that you both like. Wishing you happy times in your new home

hannah try putting a little organic apple cider vinegar on to a cotton ball and wipe roo's ears out with them. my puppy hadleigh gets yeast infections in her ears and that is what i do and it helps. here is what google says (but i just use a well dampened cotton ball)
The Apple Cider Vinegar Method
Prepare a rinse for your dog's ear infection which will kill yeast and bacteria when applied often. Mix apple cider vinegar and distilled water into a half and half solution. If you have a solution bottle or syringe, you can put the solution directly into the ear canal by squirting it in.

I would get a long rectangle mirror that goes really high up, this will make the bathroom look bigger and taller, also a gold rim would look best with the tile and floor

Re: dog allergies - after suffering through months of various meds and treatments I caved and got my dog an allergy shot (cytopoint) and it changed everything. They said we would have to get one every 3 months but after the first shot I never had to do it again. Expensive but one shot > daily meds - it's worth a try!!

Hannah so sorry to hear that Roo is so itchy. Might you consider CBD for dogs, my cousin has the same issue with her Yorkie Chewbacca (fyi Chewies a cutie) - she uses this spritz stuff on her. I’ll try and find out what it’s called

Silent watcher but had to give the tip: our dog completely stopped scratching after switching to raw food. I hated it as first (veggie myself) but it has honestly stopped the itching and scratching. No explanation for it (asides from obvious allergies- but was never confirmed by a vet) I was just tired of trying topicals and for some reason he reacted so well to the raw food.
Love the mirror but id go for a square or rectangular one in that room...tie in with all the straight lines in the tilings?

you could try making your own pesto in under 10 minutes. you can customise the nuts i use a small amount of pine nuts and then brazils walnuts almonds. then basil, garlic, extra virgin olive oil, vegan parmesan and salt.
The DOP basil makes a big difference. Not sure where to find it in Manchester

Also, you don’t maybe think the home cooked food is giving Roo the itchy ears ? I know we think we doing them good by cooking food for them but even the dog food companies have a hard time getting the nutrient ratio / balance correct. Just a thought ❤
Hi! We actually swapped roo onto a home cooked diet BECAUSE of the itching so I don’t think so - it’s much better for them to incorporate fresh food into their diets but we are also doing an allergy test to be sure 🥰🥰
Hi my dog was same I now make her food , had tried every thing my dog is now fifteen and wish I had did this here’s ago❤just look for lower carb god recipe for dogs , and know just find here feet and for that I put here feet in to baking soda some mornings it stop the it good for the ph of the skin x

I had the samr problem with my dog we were never away from the vets with his ears.he is on a plant based diet and his ear problems went away hasnt needed to see the vet for about 2 years x

My dog was itching his ears and paws I tried everything, I had a blood test done and he is allergic to every meat, dairy products, peas, yeast and wheat. Now he is on insect protein food and his treats are carrots sweet potatoes apples cucumber.
He is ok now.
In spring and summer he suffers from hays fever but that’s under control with allergy tablets.

Wipe her ears every time she goes out with doggie wipes works well for my little girl take care ❤❤❤
Don’t judge me but my puppy had the same issue in her ears and I used my own hydrocortisone cream from the pharmacy on it and it cleared up in a week 😅 🙏🏽

Itching is a sign of yeast (candida) overgrowth &/or wheat gluten allergy. Either way, wheat gluten & grains should be removed from their diet. If yeast is a problem, limit starch/sugar intake as well which feeds candida. I give my cats grain free gluten free dry food which I leave out 24/7. Then they get some wet food morning and again at night, also GF & grain free. Cats don't know to drink plenty of water because they swallow their food whole, unlike dogs who chew. Cats should be eating mostly wet food since they swallow their food whole - for proper digestion. Otherwise, they can get kidney failure as the kidneys process hard pieces of food over years. I also give them filtered water - I'm not going to take any chances with heavy metals and parasites.
Humans also get rashes, eczema, psoriasis & itching from yeast (candida) overgrowth. High alkaline diet is best, for humans and animals. Fortunately dogs will eat more greens than cats! My cats will eat grass and sometimes lettuce or peas.
