Samsung Galaxy is really good! Different, but you get to make it all your own. You can override things, customize apps...it feels more advance in a many ways. You can change your fonts, your home screen...Apple is basically becoming an android actually. With the more customizable features, switching to Type Cs...Apple kinda admitted defeat.

As Hayls said 1 of the 3 settings she's missed was the mute button on the iPhone.
Well you can do that similar in 1 press of a button by customising in the Samsung Goodlock app.
To set up, is open Goodlock, tap on Life Up, below then scroll to open Registrar, tap on Side-key press and hold action.
Tap on 1 of many menu actions, as "Mute or unmute all volumes" will be selected. It doesn't switch on to airplane mode, just volume on/off. So any time just hold the power on/off button for more than 1second all volumes off. Press hold again to turn on. On my phone I select "Torch" for easy access in dark areas or night time situations.

@@christopher480 like many previous generations of Samsung flagships, the Galaxy S23 series lacks support for Dolby Vision, a pinnacle of technology when viewing HDR content. While it does support another HDR format, the lack of Dolby Vision makes it look more feeble than the competition and may discourage anyone who spends a significant time watching video content on their phones. It’s a big problem and one that needs to be fixed soon.

      @whisper2441 Před 10 měsíci

@@christopher480 I wish it was obvious as I would switch back to Samsung. I had Samsung phones for 6 years before switching to Pro Max 13. While I really liked the Samsung 7 edge and S10+ I found they degraded pretty quickly, ie they got very laggy and developed green screen and fades, thin lines on the screens etc. I've had the PM 13 for nearly 2 years and it works like from day 1, no lagging, quality is exactly the same as it was day 1. I know I never got that with Samsung. I guess if you upgrade every year or 2 at the most Samsung would be fine, but it goes downhill pretty fast compared to an apple phone. Apple hold their value far longer than Samsung, and that's probably the reason why - built to last.

I had tje Samsung S10+ and agree that it had issues, but I've had the S20 Ultra, S22 Ultra and now the S23 Ultra and Samsung fixed those issues and many more that make these phones light years ahead of Apple more enjoyable. You can't do a fair comparison from a phone 4 years ago to a phone 2 years ago because the technology changes so fast that issues you had 4 years ago doesn't exist. As far as Apple holding their value? I traded in my S22 Ultra that I had for over a year with a $1,000 trade in value so your comment their doesn't hold credibility.

@@ppedsscatty6161 Fair enough you may be right, I'm just stating what my experience was with Samsung. What I want from a smart phone is a product that works flawlessly all the time, no stress. It needs to make my life easier and not cause hassles. My experience with Apple is less stressful than with Samsung. All my Apple products are integrated and it's like using 1 product not 4 - ie phone, ultra watch, ipad pro and air pods. My pro max 13 is so excellent I haven't bothered upgrading to 14 and intend to give 15 a miss too. The battery lasts several days, the video quality is truly stunning, air pods detect what device I'm using etc - everything just works great and feels fully automated/integrated. I don't miss any of the Samsung features so don't see what would tempt me to go back to Samsung. I'd be happy to do so if the quality is there.

I'm sorry and I don't want anyone to feel offended, but it seems to me that many iPhone users have tunnel vision. There is simply nothing left and right.
And the worst thing is, they pay endless amounts of money for a voluntary imprisonment under foreign control. This is madness for me! Nothing is allowed that Timmy doesn't want.
These people also decide, for example, what they want to buy in the supermarket. There is no one there who just takes an already filled shopping cart without knowing the contents. But when using Apple products, it doesn't seem to matter at all.
      Weird world!
      Back to the actual topic:
Samsung has been offering many functions and options for years. Even the A series, which costs only a fraction.
However, I'm pleased that times seem to be changing, with users waking up and breaking out of Apple prison.

For desktop I prefer windows, because I can do a ton more on it without worrying about whatever coming out or already having compatible 99.9% of the the time.
For headphones, I haven't had any issues connecting with my sony's that have top of the line NC. I don't care about the watches as I just won't pay that much for a watch that is just a super small screen of my phone really most of the, but something like an apple watch will be $400+ dollars and that's on the cheap end. Those watches will be $800 dollars and I see no way that is a $800 value personally.

Samsung can produce quality processors if they wanted to since samsung manufactured the nvidia 30 series graphics cards but samsung does not seem to care much on the mobile devices. The reason why I said that samsung does not seem to care about there mobile cpu processors is because they seem to make more money from the displays like oled on phones, tablets, gaming monitors, laptops, 4k and 8k tvs. If there was an option to customize the hardware components on a smartphone like a gaming pc, I would in a heart beat and use pc desktop components and have android as the main operating system to play steam games. The newer models of chromebooks can play games from steam like the steam deck on chrome books but I'm still waiting for the update whenever google is ready to roll out the update to the play steam games on chrome os. Chrome os uses the linux kernel like the steam deck to play games from steam, there is also parallels using virtual machine to run windows apps on chromebooks and support for linux apps on chromebooks. When the 30 series graphics card first came out it was hard to find since they would be sold out very fast since it was newer and cheaper than the 20 series nvidia graphics cards. I still can't find a high end 30 series and high end 40 series nvidia graphics card since the 20 series graphics card that I have only has 11gb of vram and I need the 24gb of vram with 4k gaming with ray tracing from the 30 series and 40 series nvidia graphics card graphics. All the samsung galaxy note 5 phones were using a samsung exynos processor plus the battery life was really good and gaming on the phone did not drain that much. I got a chance to play with my friends samsung galaxy note 5 since it was the last samsung galaxy note phone that used micro usb before samsung first phone that switched to usb c was the galaxy note 7. I really like the samsung galaxy note 5 but only have 32gb of storage and if you can find a version with 64gb would be decent but not enough storage with no micro sd card slot was a deal breaker since apps use up more internal storage especially when you download and use alot of apps. After the note 9 more of the regular galaxy phones started to catch up with the note series of phones until samsung got rid of the note line. I used to have the note 9 andi stopped using samsung phones for awhile and switched to other android phones since samsung removed features that I still use to this day on other phones. I still use the headphone jack and micro sd card slot. The last samsung phone I used was the z fold 4 until the screen touch input stopped working after I dropped the phone with a black in the middle of the display on the inner display. I ended up going back to my pixel 4a 5g with an external battery case for my pixel 4a 5g as my secondary phone and I stopped using my z fold 4 while the sony xperia 1 iv is my primary phone. Ubreakifix told me over the phone that it cost $547.99 plus tax to replace the inner display of the z fold 4. If you took 100 photos with S23 Ultra 14 Pro max and S23 Ultra Xiaomi would have the single best photo, their problem is consistency, as Samsung and iPhone will take better pictures most of the time but the best will be from Mi. Xiaomi is pretty underrated by people who only see Samsung and iPhones

did exactly the same thing - Iphone to Ultra. Absolutely loved it - but it is a Phablet, and was just too big for being protable (unless you have a purse). I did exchange for the S23, though. Love it.

Nice! This about the timer is there on android for ages! PCs are not that bad and majority of general population are on PCs. Android bridges with PCs for so long now. I switched from iPhone 14 Pro to s23 plus. Tried the ultra but it was just too big for me however I may try it again once I am ready to upgrade my 23 plus. I still have my ipad which I would not swap and use a windows laptop. I really like having multi platform for my gadgets, I feel like I have the best of everything.

Great video but i must say the iphone 9/10 requires more extra steps to do sinple tasks. And with good lock on samaung you can really fix any issues with steps or swipes to your liking. I have both the s23ultra and 14pm and i havent used my 14pm since the release of the s23ultra. Im not tied into an eco system. But i also game on a fully built windows pc and have a mac mini all connected to my lg c2 42 and can use both systems so its the best of both worlds. My videos messages and photos and all that jazz are mainly in google, one drive and google ddrive so it makes switching my devices much easier because i csn access that stuff from any device. Great to see both companjes pushing each others limits. Im excited for this small but good upgrade on the upcoming iphone 15 series and thats finally usb c.... thank you EU. Now all my devices can be used with the same power device. Amazing video as always keep up the great work.

I have both platforms , had an iphone since the 12 pro max , and 14 pro max , also been an android boy , mostly galaxy notes since the note 2 until note 9 ....and it still works like a champ , i like and dislike elements of both current platforms , i do like my S pen , also the sd card , headphone jack , dedicated notification light , heart rate sensor , MST pay , and all the the things the ultra and current galaxy devices no longer have including accessories that once came with all good galaxys and phones in general ( RIP proper Galaxy Note ) .
The iphones where an acquired taste for me , i knew they where fairly basic , but nice hardware and with flat screens ( thank you apple ! ) , but for the first three months i hated IOS and just wanted to burn the phone :) , i did warm to it though ,
some good points imo for the apple gear , nice robust hardware , flat screen , magsafe which i initially thought was huge gimmick , when i eventually got around to trying it out i fell in love with it and use it every single day and like it for its use as a daily convenience feature , apple pay with the face ID just rocks , its fast easy to use and works 99.999999999 % of the time with my banking app .
Also in the iphones favour is the app store , people sook about the walled garden , but i think it is a major , major win , i have confidence downloading any apps from apple app store , unlike googles play store which i stopped using some years ago due to a lack of confidence in the security and quality of the apps.
Apple could certainly improve in one or two areas (as could android) , but for me the iphone is the one i carry around , it gets more of the basics right imo , and another thing i like about the apple stuff , if i have my 12 or 14 pro max on charge in the bedroom while im elsewhere in the house using my mac book or ipad or other iphone , the call comes through on them too , and i can answer with either one i happen to be using just like a normal phone call , and it works like a beauty..
I do miss some of the galaxy features , but at the same time the iphone ticks more of the important boxes for me .
Once i was a dyed in the wool galaxy note boy and really would have nothing to do with apple , now im far less glued to one or another , now i do prefer the apple stuff , and looking forward to IOS 17 .

Yes, pretty much describes my experience too. I'm more than happy to switch back to Samsung when/if the time comes, but as I have a lot of experience with both phones I know the Samsung quality can't much Apple quite yet. All the Samsung phones I had had major hardware issues after 2 years, green screen, fading screen, lines across the screen, buggy and laggy performance. My Pro Max 13 still feels robust and runs smoothly nearly 2 years later. Iphones have a better resale value for longer, and there's a good reason for that. You know they are going to be working flawlessly many yrs later. I'd be shocked if any Samsung phone still worked like brand new 2+ yrs later.

The reason behind most users don't want to switch are apps. Leaving behind the popular apps like IG or Snapchat, there are tons of professional apps on iPad and iOS in general. Also, iOS version apps sometimes offer more features compared to Android counterpart. If Google can do something then lots of people would happily switch myself included.

You do realize that Samsung can also use IG and Snapchat right?! 😂 Snapchat and Samsung are buddies and Snapchat even lets you use the dedicated zoom cameras on a Samsung, I can zoom into the moon and have it stable focus directly from Snapchat, iPhones can not do that and IG now works great with Samsung cameras since they also partnered together!! You probably used a Galaxy S4 to make that comparison, but the new models handle both of those apps extremely well! And dont get me started on the ability to side load apps in a breeze!!

You are not being genuine if you think the Samsung experience on social media is half as good as the experience is on Apple. From someone that have used both, the experience is way better and most of the apps tend to have more features on the iOS version than the Samsung counterpart. Let's be genuine here. On Twitter for example, you can't easily reshare videos on your TL from someone without you having to quote them, you cant change your Twitter app icon if you're on twitter blue, you don't have a number of features and it is beyond surprising. Whatsapp is more surprisingly feature packed than I thought but never got to experience them on any of my nsamsung devices.

I still have my S20 Ultra going on almost 3 years now, and it's still flawless. I was the type to upgrade every 2 years cuz I would start having issues with battery or sluggishness. My lady just got the S23 Ultra, and other than the camera being significantly better, my S20 Ultra still holds up so well. Even the display on my S20U still looked slightly better than the S23U. I personally can't justify an upgrade when the S20U actually has a couple of advantages even over the S23U. Both phones are outstanding, and any of the Ultra series Samsungs are worth it and will last multiple years.

Month late here (just orderesd a 23 U and am binging all kinds of videos on it), but 2:10 if you want to go back to the top of most any app, like the ones you demo'd, just hit the tab icon that youre in at the bottom, like the home button. or search or whatever. It should take you right to the top of that page. Many apps are kind of adopting the same design language, though not all Im sure.
Also after you mentioned how easy it is to change ringtone on android, I had to look up how you do it on iPhone. WOW. thats all I can say
