Er, this is very confused. Radical feminism starts from the point that patriarchy exists (and it is in all aspects of life, not just government). Radical feminism is the movement against patriarchy.

Radical feminism ALSO aims for equality between women and men, but said equality CANNOT be achieved if we don’t DISMANTLE the patriarchy first. Liberal feminism doesn’t aim to do that. Therefore liberal feminism or, as you mentioned, the middle ground, is still patriarchy.

the patriarchy is in the west a result of a set of stereotypes (not laws). the present stereotypes and unconscious biases will disappear over time (decades maybe centuries). Equality destroys the patriarchy not the other way around. trying to consciously destroy unconscious bias is impossible and if you decide to shame people for having those biases than you should start by shaming urself because any expert can tell u that everybody is bias. But u can make people aware of biases and that's what regular feminism and all branches of feminism except rads .

There is a gross misunderstanding in this video. Radical feminisim's ultimate goal is equality. It aims to restructure the patriarcal world to achieve just that. This doesn't change whether you are pro or anti feminist, it is the actual stated goal whether you agree with it or not. So to say that equality is a middleground is a total misrepresentation of what patriarchy and radical feminism are.

    • @jasonfields7058
      @jasonfields7058 Před 4 lety +23

No, radical feminism ultimate goal is to destroy the culture. There is no such thing as true equality. There will be people with different skills and abilities and each earns and advances according to their merit and effort. The problem is in a competitive class system, women do not do as well as men in general. What you are seeing is not a radical releveling of the playing field but an attempt to crippled and disadvantage the men so women can dominate. Its the reason why the current manifestation of feminism is basically misandry. Its the only way for women to feel equal is if men are brought down beneath them. Look at all of the misandrist laws out now that only target men. Look at title ix. Look all of the mess in regards to gender dynamics and interactions.
I think the problem is most women that believe in this mess dont realize the real heads of the ideology itself want dominance over men. That is it. Look at all of the little cultural battles that have taken over the mainstream culture currently. government funded tampons. Sexist A/C. mansplaining, manspreading, toxic masculinity, the male gaze, the glass ceiling or the glass cliff, etc. All of these are contrivances of a class of people who dont want to admit that their end goal was already reached and now what they really want is power over men and not just power. But in the wake of all that is the lack of understand that you are wielding power to the point of messing up basic gender dynamics due to your own gender based psychological quirks. Because of your biological make up and emotional state, you are the more likely to abuse power and see threats in regards to more instances of neuroticism. Look at the state of the children in the culture. Look at the safe space culture. Look at all the rampant degenerate ideological ideas floating around now dominating and polluting the culture right now. We are literally in a cultural decline because the worst parts of female psychology and animus are destroying everything and the men have given sway to it. Yes, in some aspects of the past, men were brutal and they held power but that was because the RISK and Responsibilities that fell on us WERE greater than yours in regards to the protect and survival of the tribe. Its really that simple. So you dont want to accept that, cool thats fine. But in your attempt to restructure society, you want to control everything and you want all the authority without any of the cost or responsibility associated with that. That is where true corruption and evil steps in.

Mixed Knight Fool actually, that’s not true. Women have been oppressed for centuries and that explanation is very tone deaf. And where are you even getting these other statements from, saying that we have more in common with our fathers does not justify anything as a matter of fact, if that was your point, which was very poorly executed. Secondly, the romantic love that a women shares with another women is not r*pe, or anything absurd of that matter. It’s the same kind of love that a straight man would have for a straight woman the thing is that people like you don’t want to admit that we’re all the same, and create this false narrative whilst encouraging outrageous and badly informed statements. And if you honestly have such a big problem with women wanting to reach equality, then it’s because it threatens your masculinity which is clearly incredibly fragile. The truth is that real men are feminist, and someone who has a stable sense of self or self esteem, won’t feel threatened by activism, so I hope that I painted the picture better for you 🤍.

This is SO WRONG. if you are interested in these topics listen to real radical feminists talk. (Germaine Greer, Andrea Dworkin etc. Just research)
For those who think this is too much work...that's also okay, you don’t have to have expertise in everything. But if you don’t know, at least don’t tell us who we are, what we want and who we hate. It is just not true.
As Germaine Greer (a radfem) once said: "We don’t hate men. We actually love them. We just want them to love us back." But instead they harrass, assault or kill us.
Radical feminism does not want equality, like most people think. Because there are already laws which see all genders as equal, but there is still inequality. So it is obviously not enough to just be seen as equals in front of the law.
That's JUST ONE idea of radical feminism. There are many more. Also there are different types of feminism: libfems, radfems, queerfems, ecofems... we are not all the same and we do not have the same view on cultural and political topics.

None of those women were 'radical'. When one stands up for oneself...that is NOT radical. It is radical to NOT stand up for oneself. We have this backwards and probably should stop allowing the title 'radical' in front of 'feminism'. Quite farnkly that makes no sense either. I'd rather just be human. So much easier. Separating everything as do is very destructive for us all.

I believe it is the radical feminists who understand patriachy. Unlike "normal" feminists, they seem to realise that in order to make any headway, you must uproot patriarchy completely with all its major pillars, namely, marriage, religion and capitalism.
Ironically, it is women who are disparately clinging to this institutions begging the question, did women invent patriarchy? Because I don't think men are that smart.

The logic is at least in patriarchy, certain aspects of meritocracy was in effect along with basic concepts like due process and traditional values. The problem is feminism itself was just a jumping off point to topple those principles because in a patriarchal system, women generally could not compete without breaking those rules. Its the reason why you see all this stupid stuff happening today. Societies grow, create things, expand, and are prosperous under patriarchy. Gynocentric cultures fall into corruption and collapse. It has simply come to the realisation, that in a world, where a patriarcal society has been the norm since so many decades an in so many cultures and religions around the world, that the female supression has become internalised and institutionalised. Therefor, equality can not be achived, by writing in into a constitution. It is necessary to question and to deconstruckt, the institutional authorities, that hold the power and concerve male supremicy.

If feminism does not aim to take away what was created by others...why don't you build your success on your own? there is literally nothing stopping you from living the live you want nowadays except yourself. no one is your way. If you think men and woman are so equal why do your require priviledges given by men to feel equal? why can man do this on their own but womane supposedly can't? There is literally not a single advantage men have over women in the open market.
The point i generally disagree with modern feminism is because i know enough woman that are super successful compeltly on their own. they are not dependant on anyone and made it so far without any help.
Did you ever consider that your short comings are not the fault of an evil system you live in? 1 - feminism aims for women's social and economical rights, if your wealth and/or status is built by oppressing women, yeah you're not safe, hate it to break it to you. it's like saying "well if you are anti-slavery don't you take the rights of masters, it's their right to be serve." and we don't want half of the male ceos to be fired and replaced with female ceos in one day, we just want fairness and that means more competition and men don't like it. there are so many things that stopping me, if you try to imply that women are not successful as men because don't study enough it's nonsense. there are so many double standards. women can do it own their own, society just don't let you to be on your own, free. let me tell you few examples on my life: women are expected to both take care of the child(ren) and do the housework while having a 9 to 6 job. my mom is also one of them. they are not valued since young age, parents search "is my son gifted" twice more than they search "is my daughter gifted" i have a male cousin that scored high on university enterance exam, he was highly praised that he make it to %15, i took the same exam last year and i entered the best university in my country with %2 score, reactions were not even similar. society has different vocabularies for men and women.
2 - individual success does not mean gender equality is achieved and sexism is no more an issue. radical feminism is for women as a class not for individualistic gain.
3 - yeah i did because the gaslighting that everything is normal with this society and it's only in my head. it's not the men that make my life so miserable, it's their privilege over me. i wonder who would weaponize my anger and use it for their gain? capitalism? politicians? i don't think so. i think you need to rethink about how you percieve feminism and what feminists want.

And in all this they want men to be subordinates to women whereas women think that it's misogynistic for men to make women a subordinate to men. That's why you have radical feminist women that want to have the entitlement to have seniority over men. They want men to let them walk all over them and step on them. And when men don't allow women to do so, that when they lead their radical feminist attack on men.

Patriarchy is a system in countries where the central power is weak. Men are protectors and take care of everything on the outside. Women are protected and responsible of the household. Strict gender roles. Not fun for everyone but a working system in undeveloped countries. Economic prosperity gave women equality, not feminism. It wouldn't make sense to fight for equality in the Dark Ages, where it sucked to be a woman but just as much to be a man. Perhaps it was of interest to a noblewoman but they were like 0,1% of the population. The rest were farmers who had no reason to fight over who was milking the cows or plowing the field. The patriarchy has always been a system created by men and women. With a strong central power women don't need men as much and can have more freedom. But of course they still admire the elite of men and rely on their beauty to make their way up in the social hierarchy.
