- In the mid-1990s Daimler-Benz set its sights on a product offensive. This commercial vehicle model offensive began with a van launched in spring 1995. Sprinter is the name of the new van, the first commercial vehicle with the star to have an actual name instead of a numerical and alphabetical code. The future sales hit follows a true legend, a van manufactured for 18 years and simply named Mercedes-Benz T1. The new van adopts its fundamental technical concept yet everything else is revolutionized.

I've just bought one of these ... a 2001 208D with just 70,000m on it!
Theres some rust on it but the interior is mint and it drives spot on

absolutely! its tight as a nut to drive, 2 previous owners . The 2nd owner wanted to convert it to campervan but didn't due to ill health, the first owner was a carpet company just estimating and delivering samples, not working. The inside is like new with the wear and tear of a 3/4 year old van not 23 ! I should know as I'm a carpet fitter and its next to impossible to keep an interior clean and unbattered by glue/ screed spilliges and scrapes and tears to inside from sharp stuff! The front seat bolster has literally 0 wear . Loving the van @@jimbush80528
