I like share my view on SGB.
Last SGB issue was on Feb 2024 at 6263/gm. Today it is trading in secodary market at 7927.47 which is 26% high after tax cut fall. Same time Goldbees moved from 52.5 to 58.34 ~11%. Goldbees have tax, if gov say SGB the same tax in future, its the same. No difference. I can sell SGB in secondary market like goldbees. On top i recevied July interest on 1.25%. so, If gov stop SGB - ok i will buy goldbee or physical gold. SGB was a good product to buy.
I don't know why sir wants to prove that he is right. Still I don't understand his stance on SGB.

Yes bro i also bought last 2 SGB.. And if you hold 8 years then no tax which said by govt itself.. Even if they collect tax then we may lose 12.5% from profit but we dont suffer lose i guess👍

Total 67 SGB trenches have been issued till now.

First two trenches redeemed. First trenche CAGR was 10.9% and that of second is 11.6%.

If the interest of 2.75-2.5% included, YTM comes to 13.6% and 14.4% .

SGBs are tax free if held till redemption. From tax angle , YTM adjusted to tax comes to 15.9% for first trenche and 16.9% for second trench. - which is attractive considering Gold price have doubled.

These are redeemed at 6132 and 6271 respectively. Gold has risen since then at faster rate.
SGB due for redemption next month is now quoting at 7198 (high of 7520 and corrected fue to duty cut). That is 15% higher than 2nd trenche.

Sir once duty increase pana apo SGB increased to 6% at that time. Now same % decreased due to cut in duty. Idulam sollamataru avaru. Makkal muttal madiriye ivara follow panuvanga. Am still sitting with 21% profit in SGB at current rate.

Sir, Neenga Birla Paint business launch panna udanae. Asian Paints with robust distribution networks and brand value and retention will loose nu sonneenga. Birla Jewellery business launch panna udanae they don’t succeed in consumer facing business nu sollureenga. What’s the reason for two different stands for the similar scenario? We would like to understand the thoughts which went through to take such a conclusion.
Birla paint will hurt asian paint and it's not much brand driven market. Reason brand + price = Buy decision. Jewellery is premium brand driven market for organized players... Tanishq is a strong brand driven by tata. It's already flooded by other regional strong players..It's difficult to compete without a lever. If the designs ,pricing and consistent in market....then. Who knows even Birla will kick everyone out . Premium Brand ( jewellery) Vs Commodity ( oil price driven). People may try paint but they will think more when it comes to gold.

Discontinue means no new bond issues. Nothing happens to existing bonds
Nothing will happen, it's issued by RBI. If you can't trust RBI who else to trust.
