Big fish like that shark shouldn't be eaten. They contain too much, by way of heavy metals in 'em. The commercial fishers are not allowed to sell them for the same reason.
Yes apparently they don't taste good. I filmed the action and helped gaff the shark at the rocks. The guy who caught it seemed keen to gut and fillet it.
