How does he do that thing around 3:00? It looks like he's just barring a fret and then pulling off at the end of him strumming but I can't seem to make the same sound. I get that it's probably because of his tuning, but even just getting that bright almost chime-like sound to come out of my guitar is hard.

You have to tune it up, he's using steel strings which hold better I think o__o
