although i do not know japanese, i believe he is talking about the tone difference between playing the beginning notes on the higher strings and the lower strings. i think hes elaborating on why he plays it on the lower strings...probably since it is a mellow song that most likely sounds better on the lower strings.
It's essentially what doh777 said. He's talking about the differences in the timbre of various positions. He mentioned that it sounds like a more old style and more reminiscent higher up the neck. He's basically giving tips on how to insert emotional into the song and make it more believable.
i dont know japanese, but through my experience, i think he explaned the reason why he played the song on the higher frets so that he can bend the string more easily :)

just letting everyone know the tabs are wrong haha..i was practicin all night i found a mistake theres a 2 and 0 string where there shouldnt be i found the mistake after i tabbed it on Guitarpro
The only wrong technique is the one that doesn't work. If you look at most of the "popular" muscians hardly any of them are truly using proper technique. Since most don't learn on it...we usually don't have it. Right and Wrong is just a matter of how YOU perceive it and nothing but. To me it's always right if you can get it to work. I do know what you are saying. And I dont want to seem like I am just criticizing you. I am criticizing "the thought" in general. of right and wrong. vague.
