When you're figuring out how many 100s, 50s, etc that you need from the bank, it might be easier to use tally marks instead. For example, you can just focus on your car payment on its own and quickly tally off 1 hundred dollar bill, 1 fifty, 1 twenty, 1 five, and 3 ones. Then, you'd move on to the next envelope amount and tally up that one on its own. That way there's no need for all that subtracting down the line.

It's so sweet that you're willing to help people with they're finances and budgeting. It can be very confusing but it's a very important skill to know and the fact that you're helping people how may have no experience is such a sweet thing. 😊

Can you do a mock budget for a single person who makes around $700 a paycheck? Or a video explaining how you determine the amount of money you put in your sinking funds and what you do with the left over money after you’ve budgeted

I thought I was the only one with long budget videos. I was like worried that people were spending so much time watching me budget and do my cash envelopes. But honestly it takes so much time that there is no way around it 🤑

It amazes me how many people dont write the figures down to see how much they actually have. Its an eye opener. I have been spreadsheet budgeting for 10years and got rid of some crappy debt. But im trialling cash envelopes now to help me save some money long term and give my self a set allowance for "fun money". I cant help but count my money all the time, i get excited to see it grow!!

GIRL! I feel you with the allergies! Sometimes I think it’s worst than just being sick or having a sore throat! The sneezing just drains you!
I have really bad allergies & I take Flonase along with any daytime allergy pill. I swear on Flonase, it changed my life! Idk if its available for you in Cali but it’s a nasal spray in a green container! Hope this helps!

Giving it a try! I have been given a budget from my husband and I have split it into 8 categories and I just made my own envelopes which I'm very proud of! You have inspired me to start cash envelopes. We get paid once a month on the 1st so I pay all bills on the 2nd and then use the remainder for cash envelopes. So far so good 🤞

Just watched your August 4, 2018 upload. You could have a misc. envelope so when you don’t use all the money for that week you could put money in misc. That way you don’t raid any of the other envelopes & not spend it. Just a thought.

Thank you for your videos! I just made my own cash envelopes. Starting in Aug. of this year i will be getting paid once a month. Ive never been paid once a month before so I am trying to get organized and ready! I also extreme coupon, so $40 for groceries is realistic for us! Its just me, my hubby and 4 pets. lol We spend $50 to $75 a week in all groceries, pet food and household essentials. Before couponing, I would spend $200 plus a week!!!!

Tracking my money has allowed to travel like 4 times a year around the world 🌎. It’s a great feeling when your money goes to a good purpose 🤑

Loved all this information!!!! I thought of a easier for you to add up your cash you get from the bank... start it the same way by writing 100...50...20...etc. but instead of going down and see how many 100$ bills you need, y’all mark on the sticky note what each expense needs... for example, you would start at the top with your car payment, put 1 tally on 100, put 1 tally on 50$... and so on. this might make it easier to keep track of what you’ve already counted!

i’m 15 and I have 3 monthly payments right now and it’ll be 5 in a couple months and I love these ideas I will definitely make a budget
in the spring/summer time having a picnic in the park is a nice date idea. My hubby and I used to go with my sister in law and her boyfriend as a double date. Sometimes we would just walk around the park and then go out for ice cream :)

So do you have a saving account or is that your sinking funds? So when you get your check direct deposited to the bank, you go get the money and then sort it out that way so you don't have any money in your checking\savings? I love this process and I'm already starting to track my purchases and waiting for my first check!

I don’t have a job (yet ;) and I’ve already gotten obsessed with budgeting and the idea of it from your videos! I showed my mom your channel and she said to me “that’s great, be good with your money unlike I was.” Since she’s in debt and I don’t have any debt and don’t want to if possible :)
