Crossfaith is an electronicore band formed in 2006. All their songs are in english, they are the pioneers of electronicore music in Japan, and also very well known in Europe and America. Crossfaith often perform at major metal festivals in Europe， They have toured Europe and the United States throughout the year. If you want to see their live, they have a lot of U.S. tour dates in the second half of the year.

Crossfaith is better to experience live, every member has a great stage presence even the drummer controls the crowd during his solos better than some frontmen I've seen, they're going on a tour in a few months if you can get a ticket I highly suggest you go to their concert, I saw them last month for the first time and they absolutely blew everyone minds. one of the best concerts I've experienced

Almost all J-metal is/was influenced from the U.S., and the UK as that is where the genre started, Japanese metal bands did not create themselves in a bubble on their own.

I am very pleased that y'all came back for a week 3. Crossfaith would probably make my top 10, top 15 for sure. I have watched this video several times and my only criticism is that it ended a bit anticlimactically. However, this was a festival setting with only an 8 song setlist so they were likely on a strict schedule. I have seen the lineup of this festival and there were some very stout bands. Even with two main stages, they probably had at least 2 bands follow them, including Crystal Lake.

Ah, Crossfaith... They're always somewhere in-between "totally relatable" and ""WTF". Sometimes a bit more on the relatable side, sometimes more on the WTF side, but always with a bit of a surprise. Though never as extreme as Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, for example.
And as others already pointed out, stick to their live. Not that their studio work is crap or so, it's just lacking the energy and presence. Though they do have some pretty neat music videos.

They are a japanies band and always tour Japan and outside. they just prefer and can sing in English just like crystal lake and knowing English does help more in reaching a bigger fan base in the world.
You 2 should check out Dir En Grey from japan, one one the best metal bands with one of the best metal vocalist around. Vinushka live androgynous is a great introduce for them czcams.com/video/BVhAVHcu-r0/video.html
Please react to Aldious. They are the all women Japanese band that basically kick started the current all women metal band wave.
I have to disagree. Destrose has had more of an impact mainly because of all the bands with ex-Destrose members. Plus Destrose started before Aldious. Destrose is one of those bands whose influence was much greater than its own success.
@@danw6048 true. Those are good points. Destrose was more influential for the reasons you state. Let's rather say that Aldious was one of the bands that helped usher in the all women metal band wave. Though I would credit them with the pretty dress/anti metal look that has become common in said wave. And of course Destrose don't exist anymore (sadly). Whereas Aldious has now built a pretty long career.
@@Sabundy I agree. If a history of Japanese all-female rock/metal is ever written, the first chapters would have to be about Show-Ya, Destrose and Aldious. If there is a list of most influential women, Keiko Terada would be at the top. In fact, she should be the one to write the history.

Agree you need to listen to Unlucky Morpheus. But I really think you'll like the band Jiluka start with Ajna then Kumari. I subbed to your channel but you can skip Baby Metal

The best Japanese metal adds something uniquely Japanese to the familiar genre. Typically they do melodies differently.

The melodies thing is SO true. That was about the first thing I noticed when I stumbled over j-music. At times feels almost counter intuitive to what we're used to. I think it might have to do with the different intonation patterns of Japanese? 🤷♀️
Also, they seem to be a lot more "fearless" or maybe I should call it more "adventurous" about mixing different genres. I mean the extent to which that happens is sometimes quite mind-blowing.
I am Japanese. CROSSFAITH is a Japanese Metalcore band. Formed in 2006, it's not a major band that is widely popular in Japan, just because some people like it. Women's metal bands are more popular in Japan today. Men are no good.
