    "They need to let car enthusiasts run the marketing departments of car companies..." Right on, Sarah. Unfortunately car companies are run by people who want to make a profit.

      @@creamwobbly Sorry, I don't see the reasoning. Are you suggesting that dealers and banks are in some sort of conspiracy to market cars you don't like? What's the motive? Are you claiming that consumers once kept their cars longer than they do now? That's simply untrue. Or are you just venting with no logic, whatsoever?

    • @willis23jm1
      @willis23jm1 Před 4 lety +3

      Mitsubishi was sport race car focus and you same people didnt buy enough hence lost of money (profit) to continue making.... why you think toyota n honda are striving...they focus on market and now in latter after making enough money they can produce sport/race car and still be afloat even if it fail

    • @Shellbackrc
      @Shellbackrc Před 3 lety +2

      @@willis23jm1 if Mitsubishi let people do test drives of the EVO they would've had more sales for it instead of losing buyers to Subaru for the STI or other brands sports cars.

    • @Reub3
      @Reub3 Před 3 lety +1

      Honestly... The car market is a hit or miss kind of thing.
      Most people are too stupid to know what they're buying. Sometimes that includes car enthusiasts.
      Why don't they sell manuals anymore. Cause most Americans just don't buy them period. Its a sad and harsh reality.

    • @stephenhendricks103
      @stephenhendricks103 Před 3 lety

      @@Reub3 Or perhaps it's because for the vast majority of consumers who spend their time either cruising on freeways or dealing with near gridlocked urban and suburban traffic, an MT holds little charm. And for enthusiasts a DCT provides the contrp; of an MT with quicker shifts and better performance.

    The pop up HUD glass is a money saving feature. Newer Mazda’s use a similar type HUD system. The reason is because to project HUD info on the windshield, there has to be a special laminated windshield with a tapered middle lamination layer to prevent the projection from being a double image in the 2 glass layers in the windshield. That makes the windshield cost much more than a normal laminated windshield. Having the separate pop-up piece means they can still use a regular laminated windshield without the double projection image.

    The instrument panel looks a lot like my 2013 Outlander GT; maybe not the most modern for 2020 but it looks a lot easier to read than some I've seen. If the S-AWC is basically the same as mine, it's no surprise it handled the curves well; at least in mine it's a torque-vectoring front diff and brake based vectoring in the rear. I've easily kept up with people in overpriced German sedans on twisty roads, and it was a blast to drive in California's Sierra Nevadas. It would be nice if good selling crossovers financed hot sports cars like with Porsche, but we'll see.
