- We spent night in area that was hit by snowstorm night before! Made survival shelter out of tarp. Took my dog ofcourse with me again. Cooking, freezing and lot more in this video :)

Metal water bottle boiled and wrapped in some clothing ah awsome ..or some of those chemical hand and feet warmers .. makes your sleeping bag toasty hot. 😀
Carry lightweight tent pegs and be ready to quickly get shelter up and save a bunch of time and energy. Also, an alternative mattress inflation method much preferable to blowing up with your breath, which contains moisture that will condense and freeze.
You get bacon and sausage and the dog gets little pebbles. No wonder it wants your food. :)

I think you would be pleasantly suprised at how toasty a big slow burning candle will keep a small tent. A short tipi or conical shelter works well with such a setup.
How much headroom would you need over the candle?
In the northern states of the U.S. some people keep a metal gallon can in their car with survival gear in it. A candle is included. In a break down the candle is placed inside of the can and lit. The can sits in the floor of the car. If you have a blanket you can make a "tent" by putting it over the dash and seat. You MUST crack a window or vent to keep oxygen coming in. With a larger candle there is quite a temperature difference. I have heard of people using a can of vegetable shortening and sticking multiple wicks in it but I have no experience with that setup. In a tent or shelter the candle sits on the ground away from flammable surfaces. Putting the candle inside a can or pan would be a good idea.
Wearing all your clothes in a sleeping bag does not allow the bag to work properly, Merino wool base layers or similar and socks are all that is needed in a bag with appropriate comfort level, a bivi bag is a bonus.

It might help placing your fir up off the ground next time so the water in the ground dont evaporate and put your fire out from below in the form of steam. It works well in the snow also

People can survive sub zero temperatures quite well, providing they stay out of the wind and stay dry. Conversed, if one gets wet and is exposed to the wind , temperatures 5 to 15 degrees above freezing can be fatal.

TX5 GTX, odlicne. Odradile su dosta i alpi s tipa 15ak kg opreme oko 25km dnevno, ne bole leđa niti nabijaju. S vecim teretom isto sasvim ok. Preporuka jedino zbog kalupa svaku lasportivicu probat, malo su cudni brojevi :)
Put the tarp shelter up in a pyramid shape so its enclosed on all sides. Several video on how to do this out there. Great video. Thanks for the hard work.
