    Tunecore is good because they do offer more than just distribution. They don’t charge % royalties on masters because you paid upfront. Good business model. Once it’s paid for then you good to go. They also have publishing service and content iD service. Salute Pap he’s getting his 💰

    CD Baby is better. Tunecore relies on your catalog to make money in order to keep paying for the yearly subscription (while you're alive). Furthermore, It takes your music down when you stop paying, for whatever reason.
    So if you die?, over the years your streams will slow down; thus, resulting in your music being canned off of DSP's via Tunecore. There's also a thing where you can't remove your credit card from their website since you add it. You'll have to email their Ai system until you get a human. Or call your bank to dispute. So choose wisely.
    This goes for any and all annual-based aggregators out there to be honest, not just Tunecore. CD Baby keeps your music up forever. So if you want to release more with CD Baby and not pay the $9 per every release? Just release the entire 13 singles you have as an album.
    I don't believe in dropping a single every week. That only adds on to the failing attention span of humans today. Gotta keep it natural. Live life, experience things, then write about it until you get at least 6 - 7 (or more) songs. Pay for studio time, then release your album. But you don't hear me though (Biggie Smalls voice) 💯.

  • @koede

    the more music you drop, the higher the yearly fee for Tunecore.
    each single is 10 bucks a year, and each album is like 50 bucks a year LOL...
    and for these reasons, distrokid is better
    UPDATE: they have since changed the fee to a yearly fee now, which lines up with most other distributors

      Somebody who is trying to make it in the music game (especially a rapper) that is concerned about a measly $10-$50 a year or even a month should not be taken seriously! You are a joke if you think that’s a lot of money

    • @koede
      @koede Pƙed 2 lety +2

      @@GeorgiaMade404706 true but I’m saying distrokid is better for most people cuz of the value
 if u had 100 singles released on tunecore it would cost you 999 dollars/yr, whereas 100 singles on distrokid would be 20 dollars (or 36 dollars) a year

    • @koede
      @koede Pƙed 2 lety +2

      @@GeorgiaMade404706 tunecore albums are 29.99 for the first year and then 49.99 each year after that. So if u had 100 albums via tunecore, it would cost you around 4979 dollars/year. Distrokid charges unlimited singles and albums for the exact same price annually (either 20 or 36 dollars depending on the plan)
