We been using TuneCore since 2007. Yeah itâs certified,
Pap is telling the truth.
Real motivation: I got a artist right now, just turned 40+ and making a album for the first time as a rapper. Everybody said don't do it but shit, dude goes in."Senior Citisin"
Tunecore is best thing that happened to me as a independent Artist & they recently changed the business model salute to Tunecore đȘđœđȘđœ.
Do you need to own instrumentals
â@identity424 if u don't ebt to be sure if your music pops
N to b fair you're using someone's set for free I want my beats paid for or rented
Tunecore is good because they do offer more than just distribution. They donât charge % royalties on masters because you paid upfront. Good business model. Once itâs paid for then you good to go. They also have publishing service and content iD service. Salute Pap heâs getting his đ°
Thanks Pap for the info
I love Pap! I never heard of this and trust me when I say I need this in my life. You might remember my original song âWildthangâ that I made over with LL âDoin itâ and Tommy Boy is about to re-release it for the hip hop 50th anniversary this summer. Yo yâall need to HMU.
God bless and keep shining đđŸđ

I used Tunecore when I started in 2010. I switched to CDBaby in 2013. I might have to revisit Tunecore to see what they have been doing since I left.

I used bandlab to create my song. I'm about to upload it to Tunecore. No cap I'm scared.
Same here
Don't be. Just upload
I am so grateful to have found this video because I just wrote my first song and about to embark on a new journey! Was deciding who to distribute with. Thankful for clarity now. I love to encourage others and music is a way to do that! I just started my CZcams channel called The Trauma and Abuse Recovery Kit encouraging other survivors and those of us who struggle with our mental health. Make sure to subscribe for more videos! :)
When does tunecore pay?? Weekly or monthly
Weekly
@@FLighTSho I need to try to use that
Sad this only has 8k views.
why is it sad
CD Baby is better. Tunecore relies on your catalog to make money in order to keep paying for the yearly subscription (while you're alive). Furthermore, It takes your music down when you stop paying, for whatever reason.
So if you die?, over the years your streams will slow down; thus, resulting in your music being canned off of DSP's via Tunecore. There's also a thing where you can't remove your credit card from their website since you add it. You'll have to email their Ai system until you get a human. Or call your bank to dispute. So choose wisely.
This goes for any and all annual-based aggregators out there to be honest, not just Tunecore. CD Baby keeps your music up forever. So if you want to release more with CD Baby and not pay the $9 per every release? Just release the entire 13 singles you have as an album.
I don't believe in dropping a single every week. That only adds on to the failing attention span of humans today. Gotta keep it natural. Live life, experience things, then write about it until you get at least 6 - 7 (or more) songs. Pay for studio time, then release your album. But you don't hear me though (Biggie Smalls voice) đŻ.
the more music you drop, the higher the yearly fee for Tunecore.
each single is 10 bucks a year, and each album is like 50 bucks a year LOL...
and for these reasons, distrokid is better
UPDATE: they have since changed the fee to a yearly fee now, which lines up with most other distributors
Somebody who is trying to make it in the music game (especially a rapper) that is concerned about a measly $10-$50 a year or even a month should not be taken seriously! You are a joke if you think thatâs a lot of money
@@GeorgiaMade404706 true but Iâm saying distrokid is better for most people cuz of the value⊠if u had 100 singles released on tunecore it would cost you 999 dollars/yr, whereas 100 singles on distrokid would be 20 dollars (or 36 dollars) a year
@@GeorgiaMade404706 tunecore albums are 29.99 for the first year and then 49.99 each year after that. So if u had 100 albums via tunecore, it would cost you around 4979 dollars/year. Distrokid charges unlimited singles and albums for the exact same price annually (either 20 or 36 dollars depending on the plan)
Update: tunecore finally introduced a yearly fee and now they actually might be 10x better than distrokid LOL
Your opinion is irrelevant, tunecore is the best. Get your money up
I really wish nore would let his guests talk smh
For real he keeps interrupting and it's frustrating
DistroKid is 20 bucks a year unlimited uploads.
Tune core is $10 a month
@@infrared6973 distrokid is 20 a year my bad
Tunecore is $15 a year
@@FLighTSho Wow they went down to compete with distrokid. They used to be 50 a year
Remember my name Nore.. I'ma be a guest soon
But nobody really buying records now because they can just stream it. Why would they buy it when they can just stream it on Spotify or tidal etc
They buy it to support the artist. Or to have it for remixes. Or same reason folks pay big money to hear same old songs. Stop trying to make sense while not making cents.
I believe its a yearly pay to Tunecore

Tunecore charge the highest fees
cap
Tunecore sounds kinda iffy 10 dollar fee n that's itđ€đ€.
Thatâs NOT it! Thatâs a fee for â1 Singleâ. He keeps speaking on â12 ALBUMSâ. Also there is more that has to be handled before the â$10 & thatâs itâ part AND thatâs where it sound like Papoose is either keeping 50% with the people or he only know 50% of whatâs going on. đ€·đŸââïž (S/O Tunecore!
