The first case was unique but the second one has a really thick bumper and the curves are impractical other than for being flashy

Pointless case. Its bulky and doesn't protect the back as has no lip on the front to protect the screen when laying the phone down on it's face.
never in my life would I ever buy the 2nd case the case, First of all is 100 dollars holy crap why would anyone ever buy that case I mean look at it. At first glance it already looks ok and cool until you see the price I mean for all this kind of stuff that it does can easily be sold for like 5 dollars not 100. It has no protection at all and only protects the corners of the phone not the front or back and wow look its a case I can screw in and it has corner shock absorbers there is something way better out there which does everything that this case does and protects everything yeah the whole damn phone from impact,snow,water,dirt,and anything you can imagine and that's life proof which is around 100 dollars while still looking better than this piece of shit. I mean for Christ sake just think about it 100 dollars that can go to a better phone case AND LET ME ALSO REMIND YOU !!! that this case is also from CHINA!!! so I wouldn't be shocked if this shit broke in a day or so I don't know why I am writing this whole damn message. BUT seriously I was really shocked to find out the price like I almost shat myself (not really).
Xsauc369 You are paying for quality and aesthetics. Believe it or not, lots of people can afford expensive cases, and others buy it for looks. I am one of those that purchase cases not mainly for protection, but for purely aesthetic reasons. Its one of the ways you make your phone stand out from the traditional bulky and boring cases that everyone uses. I love my Ventare 6. Everyone has their own personal preference.
P.S. Its not made from china.

Element, at least on my old 5s, did not interfere with the experience whatsoever. The only reason I never bought one for my 6 or 6s is because the plans over here in the US allow for an upgrade year to year so its hard to justify 150 additional dollars for something I'll barely have for a year.

I love reading comments. The people this product is targeting is more or less mid to high end market. The design is okay (sorry), but the cutouts, and the fit are superior to most cases at this price. No case at this price fixes the mute switch, and makes it feel premium like some of the Draco cases do. Most either create a cutout, or replace it with a terrible TPU, or rubber overlay. Not in everyone's budget, but some people rather have something that makes them unique.

That case is just amazing
True that, I got the element case with the actual carbon fibre. Fucking thing broke within a month and a half. Dropped it ONCE and the bottom plastic portion snapped, making the screw not do its' job. Boom, instant no protection.

I had a case a while back that was similar to the draco case and although they look cool they don't protect well. No point impact protection on the back at all - obviously, and edge protection is adequate but it all hinges on the hinges - pun intended. These cases fail at the screw joints when impacted. I chucked mine after it broke when dropped. It was not repairable.
The first case's kickstand looks incredibly flimsy.

Why buy an expensive case? I have my iphone 5s since it first came out, i bought a bumper (for $70) and it is amazing. The case is 0,5 cm taller than the screen so it protects my phone if it fall on its screen. Once i dropped my phone from a moving car in a highway, and the bumper case is all scratch but the phone was surprisingly has no scratch AT ALL, the screen and the back is still smooth like a baby's bottom.
The case is still usable and i still wear it. So in my lifetime i only bought a case once (even with the fucked up scratches) :) super stoke about it,

Atlantis ( its made from China but THEY are not telling you that ), Yes i agree it does look good, but no it does not provide some but very little protection, and it is not worth $100 no matter how much you argue about it.

This case looks like an autistic person played with some minecraft skins and managed to shit out that piece of trash. The shock absorbers are as small as ants and the case looks bulky as hell, especially with the shit curves. Those curves look gayer than an overly gay dude walking with his sass down the street.

I've tried two different aluminum bumper cases on my 6+ and they absolutely interfere with Bluetooth. I finally had to go caseless because aluminum bumpers make Bluetooth headphones completely unusable.

Aircraft or aerospace grade aluminum is a pure marketing term that holds no added value to the product.
The term means that it is frequently used in airplanes and other demanding applications. However products that state "aircraft grade aluminum" usually did not go through the rigorous designing, testing and optimisation as the "real" stuff. The aircraft industry can get away with using a generic material like this because of these marvels of engineering to cut costs in the long run if a plane is produced in large numbers.
"Aircraft grade" alloys are (most often) either from the 7___ or 6061 series which are by far the most produced alloys. Any aluminum product that needs structural strength will be made from one of these alloys (also the cheaper products).
Now back to products like this case: There is most certainly nothing wrong with them but the tag "aircraft grade" allows the distributors to crank up the price a bit without changing anything to the product itself.
Note: my comment is intended to inform, not to redirect someone from purchasing something.
rule of thumb: if it's made from aluminum (in comparison to plastic), it's probably pretty good. But there are no "magic" aluminum alloys. (and some plastics can be really strong too, but you have to know what you're looking for)

i had a similar case for my iPhone 5 and after a while the dust particles inside started to scratch up the entire phone. even tho this is a different brand i do not recommend these kinds of cases
