- Our next stop at AXPONA was the room of Turnbull Audio by distributor Audio Thesis. Will Turnbull's prototype cables/cords disrupt the high-end cable market?
In this room, we were taken aback and nothing short of blown away by the sound. Truth be told, we can’t say what, if anything, Turnbull’s prototype cables and power cords contributed to the sound because we merely heard the system play and could not swap out these products for comparison purposes.
BUT, after doing this for a very long time, the type of performance that we heard could typically only be accomplished with very good cables and cords. So, we are very interested to learn more and can very comfortably say that there is great potential here.
Prices are not for the faint of wallet. Interconnects are $9,800 and $1200, respectively for single-ended and XLR. Power cords are $18,000. Speaker cables start at $35,000.

This is some serious stuff.
Most people would consider cables to be snake oil so this is definitely a risk but the risk can be eliminated if there's undeniable improvements and I think they just did that with Howard being blown away by the sound.
Anyway, if this is all true then I'm sure obvious improvements to sound will be welcomed in the market.
Whatever ... buy what you want for your system and enjoy your gear, but I don't believe these cables are any better than the cables I build myself for my system. This pricing is ridiculous. What's next, directional audiophile fuses for several hundred dollars?!
No reel scientific explanation/information...........they all claim the same virtues.
That's why I build them myself knowing what I use and why ...........comparing with expensive brands the murking smile of the dealer dissappears when I hook mine up instead of the high end 2500 $ IC..........
