- The year 2050 might seem like a lifetime away, and predicting what the world could look like 30 years from now is no easy task. A lot can change in a single decade, let alone three, however, we do have a few 'clues' that could be painting us a pretty accurate picture.
In today's video, we are looking at what the world will look like in the year 2050. We will take a look at the futur technologies, new ways of transportations such as Uber Elevate, how amazon will deliver their products using drones and much more

I'm 40 and I still remember watching the AT&T "You Will" campaign commercials in the early 90s thinking "that is crazy!!" And everything in those commercials happened. So I'm not too skeptical that 2050 will look something like this. 🤷♀️

this pandemic forced humanity to advance at a pace so fast that we can't keep up, online school, government reforms, you name it, the only thing that somewhat slows us down is the pandemic itself and people being sick.

There are so many things today that we take for granted that are advancing rapidly and will be for the next couple of decades.

There's the idea that the growing population will require us to produce so much more than we do now, but when you look at the data, we already produce more than enough. Take food for example, on a global scale we produce enough food to feed 10 billion people, our current population is around 7 billion. Yet, people starve. Why?
It's not overpopulation that I'm worried about, it's greed and wastefulness. There's more than enough to go around, to give everybody a comfortable life, and that CAN be the future.
The only thing stopping us is the small few at the top, the richest people in the world produce more than half the world's CO2 emissions, despite being a minority of the population.
Overpopulation has never been an issue, greed and endless consumerism is the real problem.

Greed and overconsumption is a problem, but so is overpopulation. It won’t be just food and water that would be in shortage. Other natural resources will be in high demand as population grow due to increase consumption. For now as why there is starvation even though we have enough food, I was told it is due to “distribution” whatever that means.
That’s the absolute best case scenario..
Saying that AI is making other or better job for humans is like saying cars made better or other job for horses. Horses today are unemployable. The cost for a horse is crazy high and the use is super limited in todays world. The same will come true for at least half the jobs of today.. with our current system with free market we are doomed. We will need something else to make it work and we should start discussing it NOW! AI is not comming. AI is already here and it’s going to develop at a speed that no biological thing will ever be able to match..

@@Kbxbigbro808 I feel so too, 2050 will likely be the big energy crisis as by then fossil fuels will be used up, not to mention there will be 9 billion people alive (or more?). Furthermore economics will be even faster then what it is now. People will barely be able to keep up and I also think that the society will be split up in 2 categories which are super rich and super poor people - the latter one already forming itself to be the majority now.

Should have mentioned the advancements in medicine, while population increases, so too will be the longevity of human life. We may possibly increase our average lifespan to 100 by centuries end.
The world is leaving Africa behind. There are so many things I have seen in this video and in other videos that we in Africa can only dream about. I wish I had some of the machines and tech equipment to make a difference here in Nigeria. I wish I could provide jobs for Nigerians and boost our economy so that we can be part of this advancement.
Don't worry! Future will be bright for Africa and Asia, but I am not clear about America, Europe and Oceania. We can use our tropical regions to produce renewable energy and stop pollution, we can work together, we don't need Western help, together we can leave Western dictators behind. We will flourish, just like the past, and they will fall, just like the past, but if think about past, we will stay in past, so we need to see the future, and then we will rule on them, just like they do on us now, so overall future will be bright for us, just like the future.
In the next 30 years, Africa, India, Latin America and Southeast Asia will rise. Africa may not be able to reach the level of development of developed nations as a whole but will most likely be in the situation that China is today.
