Iwata, I have several Iwata Airbrushes, the latest is my Takumi side-feed Eclipse and I love it. I also a Iwata Vault TH-2 and I use it primarily for applying background paint and clear coating, although it does work great as an airbrush for larger works. But I have an issue I can't seem to solve. I want to be able to use the 3M PPS 2.0 3 oz. paint cups with the TH-2. That way I can put enough color or clear to give me several coats and be able to cap the remaining paint for later use. 3M makes an adapter for the LPH80 but I can't seem to find one that will screw into the TH-2! Createx has made several videos using the TH-2 using the cups but they said they just 'cut' the top and slide the plastic over the metal cup. This does not solve my problem, as once the cup is cut you can't use the cap to seal the remaining paint. I have an idea to go to a machinist and have them modify an adapter to fit but I'm not sure about the threads. Can you provide me with any information on a 3M adapter that would work with the TH-2? If not, can you provide me with the thread specifications to provide the machinist to adapt one to fit? I love Iwata and this may seem like a small issue to you, but it's been a real bothersome issue to me. Thanks!
