      @@dps8629 that's why gun registration, licenses and background checks are so important. Gun control is not about confiscation. It's about having things under control rather than out of control. Responsible gun owners should want reasonable, safe laws. The NRA used to believe so. The NRA used to be about gun safety and reasonable gun control. In the 1970s, under new leadership, it became about willy-nilly gun ownership for anyone who wants a gun. That's not smart. That's the problem.

      @dps8629 Před 2 lety +1

      @@riverbank2193 Yeah. I know. I live in a country with common sense gun laws. Our biggest problem with gun violence stems from people who legally buy guns to illegally sell them. What I think is registry with regular proof of ownership is essential, with loss of munitions and hardware being levied against your license. One incidence where a gun is stolen is a warning, failure to secure firearms and munitions a one time warning. Secondary incidences result in a five year ban and a mandatory registry and firearms safety course before getting another licence. Any breach after the second instance results in jail time of three months to two years. With no chance of gun ownership going forward.
