I have both the open and closed with the lil epos DAC thingy. I enjoy the open much more, even against the PC-38x. Just ordered the Audeze Maxwell. Can't wait to try those out.
Audio in itself is a rabbit hole but for a gaming headset I always recommend the pc38x or equivalent headphone the hd58x if you have a mic already. If you already have headphones and don't want to break the bank on a mic, antlion modmics attach to any headphone and quality is amazing.
Came here to say this. PC38X, and it's very similar predecessor the PC37X or Game One (basically identical) are a great jumping in point to get a good headset to compare others to, highly recommend getting one of them, Betty. As for wireless headsets, they are difficult because wireless audio always comes with a compromise, but the Audeze Penrose headsets were highly sought after, although I don't follow wireless headsets close enough to say if they haven't been eclipsed since then or were overhyped.
I have the pc38x and the h6pro They are very similar but the h6pro is much more comfortable and better features for gaming, so i would actually recommend the h6pro over the pc38x
Am looking for one so very curious how you like them? Comfort, pressure, long sessions and sound quality (game dependent). I do want to get wireless due to pets tho. Need a PC38xx but wireless version 😀
I used to play with the HD598 and got this about 6 months ago. For COD and BF2042 it’s actually really good, having the high quality cables, also not dealing with mod mic is a plus. I recently reviewed the Nova pro wired headset, and have to say this feels better to me for comfort and audio. Definitely a top tier performer.
I have both Sennheiser PC38X (another highly praised headset) and Epos H6Pro open-back. I prefer the PC38X's openess, clarity and natural-sounding, especially for music listening, the sound feels just right. The H6Pro sounds too "processed" for music, but its focus on bass and high frequencies really help to pinpoint sound cues like footstep and shellcase sounds in games.
@@jello2tube For me the PC38X, but only after 1 week of usage, as the out-of-the-box clamping force is quite high, especially on larger heads. The PC38X also has softer stock ear pads, the H6Pro open stock pads are quite firm, which can press the glasses frame into the side too much. The closed H6Pro version ear pads have memory foam and are much more comfortable. However, the PC38X pads are quite long and narrow, while H6Pro has lesser overall clamping force, and much larger ear pads. So I'd say it depends on your head and ear sizes. For larger head, H6Pro is more comfortable. For better comfort on the H6Pro Open version without altering the sound too much, I'd recommend "Earpadz Jerzee for Sennheiser GSP Series" (as H6Pro uses the same ear pads as Sennheiser GSP 500/600 series). For smaller head and ears, PC38X.
Nice headset by the looks, but for gaming ig depending on the game the mic needs to be good or people will hear sounds like a broken washing machine and the audio from the headset needs to be good in order to hear properly
Yes I recommend it. And you should go buy them right away cuz theyre discontinuing them, its like Epos realized they were giving too much for only 150 bucks. This headset sounds amazing and it screams top quality
Betty I am curious to know your opinion. What makes gaming audio more worthwhile to a gamer than tradition hifi audio equipment? Is it worth the distinction?
Generally, gaming headphones are NOT worthwhile compared to the price and performance of audiophile headphones. Generally. That said, EPOS was Sennheiser’s partner for over a decade and still sources critical components from them… so basically, you have the convenience of a headset with boom mic, PLUS audiophile components from a company that has prided itself on its innovations and tasteful tuning.
It is the best analog headset available imo. Build quality, sound and comfort. It also uses the same drivers as the pc 38x. It is tuned differently so it has more bass. Recommend the jerzee pad from dekoni. It just takes the comfort up a notch
Never tried the cloud alpha s but i owned h6pro closed back for like 4 month and all i can say is awesome. Sound quality, solid build quality, great mic and very comfortable.
After looking at multiple reviews, open back vs close back is more of a preference. A lot of people say the headphones lose the impact when they try the open back ones, but the detail still remains the same. I’m buying the open back ones because I prioritize soundstage and precision over impactfulness.
I've had mine right at a yr and it still looks and feels like it did right out the box best headset I've ever owned I've had the high end turtle beaches the astro a 40 with amp turtle beach elite with mix amp and this headset is better on all levels better sound better build better comfort
@@BiOHZRD97 Unless your headphones broke or you need the connectivity, there's not much point. As for which headset, it depends on so many factor. What's your budget? What do you need from them? Why wireless?
Honestly, idk. I don't really... game a whole lot these days. Too busy writing fan fics and watching youtube. But... I think so? If you like it then be my guest

I have the closed ones, im curious, what is the difference?
@@crazycreg4605 If you're going to get Open back headphones to compliment your closed H6, I would recommend Phillips Fidelio X2 or X3.
Damn these are some of the best headphones Ive ever seen!
I have it, good for gaming, but not great audio out of the box, sounded very hollow, I recommend using it with steel series sonar

i use superlux hd660 pro, VERY solid for 40€
I'm thinking about doing the same
Have a Logitech G pro. Been thinking of a new headset myself. What do you think of them?
Personally I use a 2009 PlayStation earbud 😂
Not the one that came with the PS4!!!!
@@evshrug i dont even have a ps4...

Sound is horrible. Mic quality is very good.

Pls trade day 2 for headphones
Can you please try some BeyerDynamic products? I got a few myself and really want to know what you think about it.
Beyerdyanmic sits super weird on my head
Looks like a slightly better turtlebeach
At least EPOS has the backing of a traditional audiophile company, rather than just using off the shelf OEM parts…

Bro isn’t wireless 😢
Features don't make a gaming headset. Sound matters; quality, accuracy, soundstage, range.
Looks awesome though, great feature set.
which headset is good for valorant? im thinking of getting the hyperx cloud 3 , coming from hyper x cloud alpha
