1) No doubt both KL and Iyer are phenomenal batters in the middle order.
I guess KL and Iyer bat position should be according the situation. If early 2 wickets then KL should bat at 4 to steady the innings with 1s and 2s. If 180-2(25-30overs)kind of situation Iyer to come at 4 with more aggressive intent.
Because everytime counter attack from Iyer may not be Successful which results team in more problem.
2) KL should improve his keeping skills, in WC you never want to see a keeper missing easy run outs, stumping and Catches.
3) Team Should improve Fielding. We have sensational fielders like Jadeja,King,KL, Iyer, Rohit, Gill, Hardhik but we saw very average fielding from ths Indian team from last year.
Best efforts in the field like Run outs, converting catches are also important as important as batting and bowling.
Baaki sab Teek hai.
India have decent middle order but if we compare the explosive ness & power hitting element to other teams...

Are KL Rahul , Hardik , Jadeja as good finishers as they used to be few years back ????
Yes KL shifted to top gear in Pakistan match....pandya played explosive innings in T20 Semi final. & jadeja won IPL final..
But those are one if innings in recent times...
Thats why I don't advocate both Iyer & KL in playing XI.
Ishan & SKY are both your ultra aggresive players & one of them should be playing
@@parasarora3079agree. I think KL is experienced so he should be playing and Kishan should also play. We saw what he can do in middle order against Pakistan. Also he should be keeping wickets instead of KL. Coming to bowling, Bumrah,Siraj, Shami all 3 must play. We can't go defensive in bowling.

Australia are too good a team. Marsh, stonis is top 6 is such a blessing for them. If maxwell fires. Cup will be theirs.
Ind v Nz is in Dharmshala. So definitely a tricky match.

If someone in the South Africa dressing room hold the nurve and manage well the players.... then its hard to stop thay batting line up... Klassen Is going as the most destructive player into the WC....

He has had several average test series here whereas he bowling into rough in english condition has caused trouble

Watch out for South Africa, they will make history this time.
Both KL and iyyer cant chase if required rate is 8+
I think Jadeja should come at 4/5/6 because he has some serious batting talent. In tests, when he was given opportunity to bat at 5/6, we can see the results.
If he clicks, we can solve the left hander problem and if bats like a batter like Rachin Ravindran last night. We can have an extra bowler like pace trio without giving a thought.
They should atleast try this in warm up matches.
In test matches no matter which stage u come to bat there will be 3-4 slips, gully fielders and u have better chance to throw your bat because the red ball flies, whereas white ball allows u to have a radical field setting and we must not defend Jadeja. He's been playing international cricket for 13-14 years. He knows what the team needs out of him and still if he is unable to perform....
The best knock by Ravindra Jadeja thus far has been 2019 semi final against New Zealand
for this they have to drop Shreyas Iyer & bring SKY/ Ishan as finisher...only then jadeja can be promoted to no. 5
Strongest Teams Ranking: Weakness Strengths
1. India : Middle and lower middle order after no.6 : Arguably the best top order in the world with the one of top 3 best
needs to pull their weight as a batting unit. bowling attacks in the world with Siraj, Bumrah, Kuldeep & Shami.
2. Australia : Don't have a reliable keeper/batsman and a : The best unit of All-rounders with Green, Marsh, Stoinis & Maxwell
middle order batting unit. Their spin is One of top 3 bowling attacks with Starc, Hazlewood & Zampa
heavily reliant on Zampa. An aggressive top order Batting unit with Head, Warner, Marsh
3. South Africa : Have an average spin attack. : Probably the most well-rounded team in this WC with the most
dangerous batting unit in the world.
4. England : Lack quality strike bowlers with sufficient : With an aggressive brand of cricket & a deep batting lineup, England
game time experience has a destructive batting lineup on par with South Africa.
5. Pakistan : Have a deficit of a reliable middle order : A strong top order batting unit. Pakistan had a bowling attack on
a quality spinner par with India and Australia until Naseem Shah was ruled out. Now
the bowling unit is heavily reliant on Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf.
6. Newzeland : Lack reliable top order batsman apart from : Dark Horses of this WC with underrated all-rounders backing the

the most important thing to consider is spin dominance in middle overs. Most of the overseas batters will suffer. Even in the fast bowling u need a different set of skill to perform in India. Thats why we see bowlers like Boult, Cummins, Wood, Woakes and many other go for so many runs in the last powerplay. So India is a very tricky place for overseas and even for subcontinent teams to tour. Its gonna be a rollercoster ride for every team because the wickets are not true to their nature.

For instance in Rajkot wicket was as flat as it could get in the first half of the first inning. But there on the wicket gets slow thats why even aussie players were not able to score briskly in the latter half.

Valid point .. notice KL Rahul , Pandya and Jadeja when they chase above 300 , they play like Babar and Rizwan and mount a lot of pressure on themselves when they play a lot of dot balls and can’t hit the gaps .. we should not get excited about KL making runs against average Asian teams .. look how KL and Shreyas couldn’t finish that 351 game a few days back .. SMH already and jadeja apart from CSK hadn’t had many batting exploits

I think India are missing an important thing " Should KL Rahul be the wicket keeper??" In Indian conditions where balls grips and turns usually, u need a specialist keeper..not a part timer. A dropper catch or missed stumping might loose u a match.

why India is not working on batter's who can bowl few overs of spin. its been long standing issue since sehwag, tendulkar era. this is harming team in big way for a while now which reflects on needing them 6th bowling option. they have batters who cannot bowl and bowler who cannot hold bat. This will be again significant in this worldcup and I dont think they are favourites to win due to same reason.

It's because we donot have better experienced spinning all-rounder than Ash now. Forget experience.who is better spinner in India now , who can contribute in bat in crunch situation. Remember the Melbourne match .. imagine Kuldeep or Chahal at that situation. We would have lost for sure. . .
Also Washi is really good . But he need to sharpen his bowling more .
Chahal is no better fielder or batting zero.
R Bishnoi is predictable with his only googlies.
Would have love to pick chahal if he would have fielding or batting abilities of at least Bishnoi.
Even we donot have a player in the caliber of at least Piyush Chawala , who can contribute with the bat.
So at the moment Ash is the best for number 8 .
Axar is a replacement for Jadeja . And He is good as well. But with axar, the spin attack will lack variety.
I KL should be benched considering his keeping skills.
Ishan should keep and both iyer and surya should be included in the team

There is not any situation when you can pick Pakistan over India..... Playing Zimbabwe with a full member team and going to the top spot of rankings doesn't make you a contender for the world cup.
Nz will be the 4th semi finalist n not pak. Pak is not consistent enough for a round robin tournament.
The challenge with India is knockout games. They have all flamboyant cricketers and lack characters who might not be flamboyant but do the needful. Everyone in this line up seems to be looking to prove a point and that's the recipe of disaster. I feel India would be amongst top 4 for sure but after that they rely too much on their reputation than winning despite looking boring.
England has the best batting line-up, India has the 2nd best but India has less firepower.
I would rank the SA batting line up above India's.

Shreays iyer play well when opponent dont attack him. he is still poor player when ball bounce to his chest height. I see him make some centuries because not all team has tall bowlers , so he is king of knee hight balls. India chances of winning is very high. India will only lose when the choked under spin. Ball wont bounce that much. Meaning most games will resemble t20 style big score, Team with long batting line up will win this world cup. I dont see aussie winning. It will be england or nz
