  • Abandoned Mega Mansion In The Philippines.
I visit an abandoned Mega Mansion in the Philippines. Three years ago the house, which is set on 2000 square meters of prime real estate in Santa Rosa, Olango Cebu, was a fully furnished and a luxury home. A true mega mansion complete with maid quarters and swimming pool. But someone known to the owner sold the contents, gutted the property in an attempt to lower the price so they could buy it from the owner who lives in Canada. After a lot of legal work the property is fully titled from the parents into the name of the exclusive heir and and is ready for sale. I am not an agent nor do I have an interest if the property is sold or not. I was just interested in seeing the house. However if anyone is interested I have the details of the person holding the title on behalf of the heir, who is in contact with the heir.

The property is fully titled from the parents into the name of the exclusive heir who is the son, but he lives in Canada, as such he was unable to protect his property. Now he wants to dispose of it along with the disappointment and memories.

No wonder the heir was left in tears upon seeing this persons pure vandalism to the property!! Knowing this was his parents home and probably their pride and joy in life must be more pain on top of the passing away of his parents....so sad !!

It's so shameful, how the responsible person treated this house. Would be a paradise, now it's lot work to restore it, and even than it never will be okay. Mould is already on many places, it needs millions to make it nice again. 😭

I don't really understand why the son would want to liquidate all of his property in the Philippines. Regardless of how much money you have, you never know when property will come in handy. The best thing the son could have done was to have a property managing company rent the place out for him.
As an American, everyone I met in the Philippines insisted I am rich, because I am American. Let me tell you,, I am nowhere rich by any means. It was quite annoying that I was considered rich just because of my home country. Plenty of very poor, poor, middle-class people in America and all of North America. I knew people that made a lot more money than I did when I was working, but they were just getting by just like me. Life is very expensive here in America and Canada. By VPP saying the son is very well off, I would tend to believe your meaning of well off meets my criteria for what rich means in North America.

There is a lot to this story that needs answering. Just from watching the video I am guessing the woman was earning a living by taking care of his parents and living on the property. When his parents passed away the woman probably had no where to go so she stayed on the property. She also probably had no source for income so she sold his parents possessions. Law enforcement should have stepped in right after the parents passed away. The son really has no one to blame but himself for allowing this to happen.

Micheal Robbins Your guess is wrong, the person who is after the property has her own properties, she just taking advantage of the situation the heir and owner lives abroad. Her belief if she can devalue it enough the heir and owner will have no choice but to sell it to her cheap. Even to this day she is taking advantage of the situation.

In the past as expats we have heard houses such as this referred to as" MacMansions"--excessive builds where folks think that they can put a huge amount into a house, and eventually get that investment back, but it's very difficult if not impossible to do so.
