After leaving the city of Rutland, Vermont and driving southeast, I stumbled upon two abandoned house on the side of the road. Considering that I had no cell phone service or Internet, I had no way of looking into the backgrounds or details of these houses online; nevertheless, I decided to seize my sudden opportunity and explore them. This is a very spontaneous, off-the-cuff exploration of two abandoned houses in the small town of Wallingford, Vermont; I believe that they were constructed sometime between 1830 and 1840, and that they are both part of the same property. The main house, which I mostly explore in this video, has a brown exterior, with a detached outbuilding nearby, painted yellow. The brown house has several rooms, including a kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, living room, and a very flooded basement. The yellow house is much smaller, completely stripped of its interior walls, and I was unable to get inside (however, I still show off the interior in this video).
The main house had several interesting remnants left behind, mostly consisting of books and magazines. In fact, most of these magazines are dated between 2007 and 2008, leading me to believe that the house was abandoned around this time. Otherwise, I was unable to find much substantial information about these two abandoned houses. One of the joys of urban exploration is that, every once in a while, a completely unplanned and spontaneous opportunity will pop up, and it's up to you to take it! While I had gone into this exploration blind, not knowing anything about the property or what to expect, I nonetheless had a great experience checking out these mysterious rural houses! I also greatly enjoyed the very scenic location, with the Cuttingsville Trestle soaring over the rushing Mill River out back! If you guys liked this video, make sure to stay tuned for more exploration videos all across New England!

Another great find. Somebody was in the process of doing some work, the roof has been replaced since the floor caved in. Keep up the good work and be safe ✌️🇺🇲

5:30 boxs of stained glass 12:55 broken stain glass window. Old lady made the stain glass window herself. very sad to see it broken wonder what it looked like complete. My girlfriend said "It looks like a redhaired girl next to a tree with a road leading though a field to a house next to a stream under the sun!" I agree with her.

Actually, the yellow building was a tattoo/smoke shop. A very brutal murder happened there in the late 90s which is why the place is still abandoned.

Most places that are abandoned are usually private but most of the time people don’t care if you visit them. There are also a few abandoned places that are meant for people to explore

Yeah, I didn’t have any GPS at the time so I incorrectly thought I was in Shrewsbury, VT… oops! 😂 Luckily I found out the correct town later on!
