I hear its auto transmission is an older Aisin model which should be reliable. Its engine is supposedly a General motors design. That could be a problem as GM engines are not known for long term reliability,. I would say a suzuki vitara 1.0 turbo that is priced similarly would be a better car with good resale. Also, my friend's ZS does badly on fuel .
There are 3 steering modes.. Normal mode would give him a good fuel consumption
