What's the one 90s PC game you'd love to have in your collection?
That wing commander 3 definitely.
Extreme-G 2
Fallout 1 & 2!
Leisure suit Larry
@@Txur_Itan On that note, I'd love to have the commodore 64 versions of wasteland, dragon wars, bards tale 1,2 and 3, and the AD&D RPG's.
Always a pleasure seeing the classic PC collection, man!
I hope this goes over well enough for you to justify covering everything over time. Looking forward to seeing those NFS games!
You and me both!
Agreed hope this video brings in the views it definitely deserves.1990s was a great time for video games on the PC, maybe even the golden years.
Should have known LGR would show up in the comments of this video. Fantastic.
Legends collide!
So who has the better PC big box collection: LGR or MJR id like to know?
Dude! Yes please, bring it on the big box pc game videos. That's my favorite subject on this awesome channel!
You got it!
I love both your videos, keep it up!
Dear God have you had the covid vaccine? Jesus here looks anxious on cam of late...Only fans is calling dudes...
PC games favourite subject on this great channel? What is wrong with you? 😅
Yo I love your music videos dude, you awesome !
PC gaming related content is always a nice surprise. For how huge it is there really just isn't that many channels focusing on the games.
If anyone knows of any good lesser known PC gaming channels I'd certainly be interested.
nope 😢
I’m in love with the series. Only thing I need, to like it even more is some brief gameplay footage of every game you display.
There’s just something about big box PC games that give me that warm and fuzzy feeling inside.
It's the quality of the presentation and the packaging including, in many cases, a manual that was a pleasure to read through.
Please check out my new gaming channel....I would sincerly appreicate the support :)
I miss the feeling that you actually got your money’s worth with big box pc games , all that packaging 🤤
I miss lore books and maps.
Shit I even miss games just having simply manuals
@@brandonconstantine3853 oh jea...
As cool as they are, I'm okay with them being a collectable thing. Back in the day most of the packaging just ended up in landfills. Not many people cared enough to have giant shelves in their house.
This type of episodes is a little hard watch for me now.. it brought back wonderful memories between me and my life long friend who passed away few months ago.
A good friend is a blessing from the sky guys and we were like brothers. Hold on to your family and friends, spend all the time you can with them, and from time to time, remember to tell them that you love them.
Damn
The Star Wars games of the 90’s and 2000’s were epic
I miss the 90s.. I used to play doom, Duke 3d, shadow warrior, blood and war craft 2.. and quake. The memories... we had a 486 compaq presario.
It was a great decade. People actually socialized and weren't stuck to their phones all day.
Oooh, Full Throttle is also my all-time favourite adventure game.
I have it installed on my PS Vita to play whenever I feel nostalgic 🙂
Star Wars force commander / rollercoaster tycoon / railroad tycoon 3 were huge parts of my childhood. Love those games. Maybe I’ll track down big boxes of them now
One thing I remember about Star Wars Force Commander is units can actually run and shoot at the same time and also that really awesome Rock a metal intro music
This is great. Love to listen to you chat about the history behind some of these games. It was an era I didnt experience growing up & it's a good way to make people aware of these classic games.
Part 2 ASAP please
There is something about collecting big boxed PC/Amiga games! There're the most satisfying additions to my collection. Love it 😍
Couldn't agree more!
Thanks MJR for this, truly. I love when people share their love for PC big box games. Looking forward to more videos on this!
Hey MJR! I love this video and it reminds me of a conversation i had on a Vinyl and Retro game convention in The Netherlands about 8 years ago. On that convention Dr.Retro was there with such a amazing big box PC game collection and he told me he had contact with you because of the PC games. I was so amazed because i was and still am big fan of you and at the time i followed you since the AGG days. I was so thrilled i finally could talk about the love for collecting and that somebody else in my country knew you and had talked with you. Thankyou for all of those years of content! Keep up the good work love you man Peace
This. This is what I've been waiting for...
the nineties!!! wonderful!
Awesome mate thanks so much. Love seeing exactly what’s in your collection and having you give a summary of each. Might take a while but at least it will give you a lot of content.
Loved the first part of your tour of PC games. So many memories there.
This shaped my childhood, and so nostalgic for me. I love it! Brings be tears and joy.
If you could add in some gameplay videos. Some of the games I don’t even heard before. Anyway I love your videos. Been following you and I enjoy all your collections. Brings back memories.
Looked for a comment that expressed this wish. Logistically difficult I'm sure. But maybe MetalJesusRocks could sprinkle in a gameplay video here and there. Take us back to the 90s and early 2000's with some gameplay. You're my favorite CZcamsr.
@@stuartbergman5313 yeah so true. Btw i can’t wait for MetalJesusRocks showcasing all the BLIZZARD games. Hyped!! Diablo franchise was my all time favorites.
Dude yessssss! I love your old school pc game collection and i would love an in depth review on all of em, I cant get enough of yr pc game collection it is amazing. Really hits me in the feels. So much nostalgia. Plz keep em coming 🙏
Loved the video format, I'm excited for this series! Great work as always!
Been having a lot of fun with 90s and 00s games since lockdown cuz I actually got time for it since then and these vids are gonna be amazing to watch, very excited for this series of videos.
XIII is such an underrated title, I absolutely loved that game and picked it up for my PS2 collection!
What was bad about XIII? It seemed alright to me. It's style was different to the usual FPS. I have it for PS2 as well :D
I adore the soundtrack to XIII and hate that there is no complete rip/soundtrack, combining all the audio content across the console versions. (Yeah, the music was dynamic so you would have to mix the segments together. I still want it!)
Everyday I’m thankful for the CZcams algorithm that brought me here to your awesome Chanel 3-4 years ago! I’m not a pc collector but love the work that went into them and it’s physical presence. Gone are those days almost with most games. Thanks for an awesome video! Still waiting on more 360 videos!!!!! Thank you!!!!!!!!
These are my favorite videos of yours.
I've been waiting a long time for this!
Thank you!
Hope you enjoyed it!
Fantastic video dude, thanks so much for sharing. A real trip down memory lane, great memories of hours on so many of these games. I was gutted when you went through the LucasArts section and didn't mention my favourite game of all time, only for you to pull it off the next shelf - the mighty Outlaws!! I should have known better than to doubt you!! Spent hours on that one, online and single player mode, still play through it every now & then.
Such a good idea!! Definitely would love to see more of these!!
This takes me back. So many awesome games, I loved no one lives forever.
Love seeing old PC classics, keep it coming man.
You got it!
I really hope to see more of these videos! Great stuff!
I love seeing these great games from the 90’s. And I Love seeing them in the big boxes. Please do more videos like this.
Back in the days when the box art work was so much more realistic than the game itself 😁
wow this is pure love
Looking forward to more. Very nice getting to see the boxes close up.
Great to see more PC videos on the channel! I hope you keep them coming. Especially want to see the rare older gems you have hidden in the collection.
I love the usb/diskette in the system shock box!
Great tour, cool showcase 😎👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Oh man this is incredible. I love when big box PC games get some love and your collection is fantastic! Can't wait to see more! My most sought after 90s era PC big box game is PowerSlave.
11 minutes in and steadily losing my mind as you work your way closer to The Dig. I scan for it in all the vids I've seen that include shots of your big box PC collection; so glad to finally see it. Knew it had to be there somewhere. At 15 I couldn't have been more primed for that game. Loved the story, and the puzzles that everyone hates just made sense to me for whatever reason. High school me thought The Dig and Day of the Tentacle were the best games I would ever get to play. Glad to have been proven wrong countless times over since then, but I'll always love those games that cemented my love for PC gaming. Best, and thanks for this!
The 90’s was my PC gaming peak.... Wolfenstein, Doom, Doom 2, Heretic, Duke Nukem, Phantasmagoria, Under a Killing Moon, Wrath of the Gods, 7th Guest, Frankenstein: In the Eyes of the Monster..... Oh man..... I miss playing those games for the first time and just spending hours on my family’s computer......
7th Guest, YES!
Metal Jesus thanks for the vid! Could you also include game footage on part 2?
MJR great stuff man! I look forward to your videos every week!
Awesome video MJ!! I frickin love the 90's PC big boxes
My family never owned a PC in the 90s, but I have many happy memories of watching my cousin play DooM, and my best friend playing Sensible Soccer, Civilisation and Red Alert.
I wish they gave me a go once in a while.....
This is an awesome video! You should do a tour of your PC collection with LGR. That would be an awesome video, to see you both geeking out over all that cool stuff!
If Clint lived closer to me, I absolutely would!
I would love to not only love to see more of this but more in depth of each game or genre in your pc game collection!
Quality video of your amazing collection, this is brilliant idea for a series dude!!
My 2nd purchase on Amazon was the Gone Jackals CD in December 2000. loved the soundtrack for Full Throttle so much I had to have the band's music. The CD has a few songs that were used for the game as well.
If ever there was a game to reboot it’s No One Lives Forever 🙏🏼
Perfect game in my memory. Good action and a voice overs from good actors
Awesome! Love to see some gameplay footage as well in the next one!
Love this! Wish there was gameplay footage to go along with each but I can’t even begin to imagine how much of a task that would be, this is still awesome!
O-M-G....been waiting 4 this
This will be like a 5 or 6 parts pretty sure that it will bring memories back to a lot of the viewers
Awesome video! Full Throttle, No One Lives Forever, Tie Fighter and Monkey Island took me way back just now. I hope you continue with the series!
I've waited years for this moment.
Immediately spotted Battlefield Collection in there. one of my favorites!
Awesome collection man! Brings back a lot of great memories.
I really like these types of videos! I was never into collecting big box pc games until I watched your videos!
I was working at a computer store (Compucentre) in Canada back in the 90's. I remember the day we received Duke Nukem, it was in 91 and i was 17 yo.
- Me having this video as background noise -
*BRUCE CAMPBELL*
You have my attention.
If Chins Could Kill 😂
So many memories. Can't wait for the next. Thank you.
So cool. I love these 90s rerun videos.
Sometimes those small town pawn shops surprise you. Off the beaten path...
Really nice seeing this. When covering consoles, it feels like your guest is the expert and you are learning from Reggie, Riggs, Kinsie and co... with this your passion, experience and nostalgia shines through.
Thanks for this. Awesome collection! Now I know what other 90s games I need to try out next.
Man.... just awesome and delightful. Keep it coming!
Planescape Torment and Icewind Dale are both in the Dungeons and Dragons universe. They were also both developed by Black Isle studios, along with Baldurs Gate 1 & 2.
I spent many, many, many hours playing Baldurs Gate 2.
Still got the Halo big box but for Mac, also that Marathon collection is pretty cool
Still have my Marathon collection, that bonus disc kept me bust for months!
@metaljesusrocks thanks for what you do! This brings me back to the late 90s. I just remember getting lost as a kid in the pc games section of bestbuy looking for pc games. Then after finally picking one, looking at the box art and getting pumped to play on the drive home. I think downloading games is great, but I wish we could get a consistent option for buying a 90s style big box version of newer PC games.
Incredible collection! Thank you for all of the awesome videos
I've said this before and I'll say it again: it isn't Friday without a Metal Jesus Rocks video.
Nothing says 90's more than Duke nukem
@R4M Razr That's also not technically correct. There should be an apostrophe before the numbers showing you're leaving out characters. Like in the case of "you're" for "you" and "are"; you left out the "a". So, the technically correct would be '90s.
@@MaiqueGr My man knows his stuff. Nice work.
@R4M Razr no
Ive been watching you for years an it makes me happy to see the progression of your collection. The new house is also a great addition to everything an im glad you're finally getting up there in subs its been a long ride!
Love these vids. Please continue them.
While it would be awesome to see it return, it’s kind of poetic/ironic that the games with the title of “No One Lives Forever” hasn’t made a return.
LOL I know, right>?!
7th Guest was one of my favorite 90s PC games!
However, seeing the ghost girl in the hallway scared the shit out me as a kid!
Dude, this so cool, please keep making these videos
Love all your videos. Loved taking a stroll down those epic PC games I poured so many hours into! Wish I still had the boxes though!!
Metal Jesus? Big Box PC games? This is gonna be good.
Missing the days where the line between PCs and Consoles was less blurry. It was neat that consoles could do things PCs couldn't, and PCs could do things consoles couldn't.
What ironic its that PCs are now more convenient to than consoles
Great video! Looking forward to part 2
Great job man, keep it up and please share the whole collection!
A touch of gameplay vids for some of the lesser known games would be nice
Yeah, I'd love to do that, but it would just take forever to capture. Maybe I'll try and do that for the next ones.
@@MetalJesusRocks "Game footage courtesy of 'bla bla bla' "?
Daikatana didn't "Underperformed", it completely fucked John Romero's career. Till this day, he can never get away from the shame of Daikatana.
I kind of consider Daikatana the sacrifice for the Deus Ex game.
Romero made himself his own biatch.
The bit that gets me is, the game gets better as it goes along - so it seems like they developed and made the levels in chronological order?
Wasn’t it delayed for like a really long time also? Trying to remember, I’m 58, memory isn’t what it used to be, 😂
@@Laun0218 "really long time" also meant a lot less in those days than it does now. Delay periods now are sometimes entire development cycles back then.
Thanks mjr, you always bring the goods. Happy weekend
Dude, I really hope to see more PC content in the coming years
Thumbs up for SiN. A horribly overlooked game.
Night Dive is bringing it back with a remaster.
@@Louis-wp3fq do you think they can make it not suck?
7th Guest👍🏻
Having watched your PC game collection build over time, I was really looking forward to this series sometime. Love these old big box games.
You have a truly amazing collection! I love big box PC games. It was probably my favorite era of gaming. Would love to see more!
sees the hellsing figure on the wall: Neat
I understood that reference
Love that anime series!
I loved this video and this is the first time learning that you worked for sierra.
I loved this! Would be great if you could include some gameplay or screenshots in future entries, but I loved hearing all of the stories surrounding your collection! :)
Awesome and looking forward to the rest of your collection, so I hope you keep making this series. This gave me such nostalgia as most games you showed here I did play when they where new back in the day. Currently I only have a few of my old big box PC games in my collection and made me wish I didn't get rid of them long ago when I did, same with my old hardware.
I love this, looking forward to more. Thanks for all the great content. I’m always excited when you post something.
Definitely would love to see more!
I grew up in the 90's and can remember seeing many of these at friends' houses, but my family could never afford a computer, so I never played them. It's nice to hear a brief rundown of them as well as your reminiscences of them!
