One of the LONGEST Descents in California | Cannell Plunge | Kernville, Ca

  • In today's video I am riding in Kernville which is just Northeast of Bakersfield. This trail is one of the longest single track trails in all of California and can mainly be ridden during the summer. This trail is mainly shuttled by most and takes you up to an elevation of ~9,400. After some climbing and descending you will usually end up in the city of kernville at just about 2,400 ft (confirmed after making the thumbnail, pls don't attack me). This trail is about 25 miles in totality so I would consider it an all day adventure. I had over an hours worth of footage but have cut it down to only include the good parts.

I rode this trail many times back in the 1990s on a 26er hardtail with rim brakes. Seeing it again brought back many memories. It's a beautiful trail, well worth the trip.

Was the plumb line downhill 1987 in Bishop California. I won first place single-speed division the start was 11,000 feet plus elevation in descendants 7,000 ft in 7 MI and then 5 me of washboard and gravel flat. I rode with the Berkeley Trails Union... Out of Berkeley. We are legendary. The shirt I'm wearing in my profile picture here is the 1987 plumb line downhill that I won single-speed category in 5th place over the entire field. I rode in Oakland edition Boss 26 hardtail. Made by Carlo Luiga
