  • Playing out the Maestro by Gibson Single Cut Junior in Blueburst. Sending her and all of her goodies (Gig bag, strap, strings, and practice amp) to her new owner in Sand Diego!
Love the Maestro's, after a quick set up, phenomenal players... also something about a Junior, that is so freeing to play. (one pickup) And do not let them fool you, take your volume to 7ish, and your tone to 4ish , and you have a sweet mellow clean range, ...crank the volume and tone and add a bit of gain to your amp..... they want to melt faces....
Song is "red lights" by the broken instrument:

Are these guitars still available in 2021?

      Sadly not at this time.
But if you look around and online you’ll find them occasionally.
I pick them up whenever I see them. They get a bad wrap, but with a proper set up they’re fantastic guitars that hold tune and sustain very well. …as a modding platform…? They’re phenomenal. (The bolt on mahogany neck is great feeling. Typically has bad fretwork from the factory but that’s fixable.)
The Epiphone Junior line is just as good if not better out of the box, but also are lacking that open book headstock until the *inspired by Gibson line they just returned to.

Sorry for asking this but, do you know the spec for this guitar? My dad bought me this in 2015 and i still have it, but never knew what spec have this guitar, also if it possible mod this guitar, or if is worth for it? i'm not a profetional guitarrist and guitars in my contry are expencive but upgrade the componets isn't very expencive like potentiometers and electronics of the guitar

@@yasha4106 hello, thanks for watching! That’s is totally subjective. I love these guitars. I have yet to find one that didn’t need something out of the box, (fret ends dressed mainly) but I find they are fantastic modding platforms. I have one currently I stripped the paint, added a mahogany veneer to the body and headstock and shot with olive green tinted nitro. Also added a chrome P90, but kept the original electronics (500k pots) It’s a beauty. If you love it, keep it and mod it or keep it original. Totally up to you.
