Cars.com's Joe Bruzek takes a look at the 2011 Infiniti QX56. It competes with the Audi Q7 and Mercedes-Benz GL-Class. Full Review: www.cars.com/infiniti/qx56/201...
@AALEVK Its called Lane prevention, the car pilots itself back into its orginal lane if it senses a vehicle in the lane you are merging into. It can help you prevent an accident. It simply nudges the vehicle back into the lane. And yes the Lazer guided cruise control will actually drive the car by itself, it will apply the brakes when needed and will accelerate aswell. It has a lazer that determines the speed of the vehicle infront of you, the systems all work together, its a very safe car.
I actually really like the QX it's really different from any other full sized SUV out there, although the side vents are functional they are a bit cheesy for such an expensive vehicle.
i've seen these on the road before, they are pretty cooll! i saw one in Scottsdale (you know those rich people lol) & one around the phoenix, they were awesome! :D
Infiniti's are great cars don't be fooled by domestic fanboys. Yes GM is making improvements but Infiniti has all the latest technology in their cars and has good reliability look that shit up.
@AALEVK Well the puprose of these technologies are simply there to assist you, they do not by any means take control of the vehicle, you as the driver have complete control over the car. The technology is like a body guard, if you dont see the danger it will detect it for you and help minimize or avoid an accident all together. =) It takes sometime to get use to put youll be really glad its there, it gives you a sense of security.
@SixHundredHP Really im curious to know as to what?? Since you know so much about the Cadiallc and the QX then please name some of the features the Cadiallc offers that makes it on par or better then the Infiniti QX???? And please spare me the obvious features like the Navi system or bluetooth, any car has that nowadays. Cadillac nothing on the Infiniti, sure the styling is controversial but it doesnt make the cadillac the better car.The QX is inspired by a Private Jet plane, the Cadiallc..a box
And yes, I love this car. It looks scary but I still like it. Front end's design may be controversial therefore I think that it would be ideal if they gave it the Nissan Patrol's front end and left the Infiniti's rear end. As a owner of a Nissan Patrol I'm looking forward to seeing this car in Europe (as a Nissan first) and of course to test driving it. Finally Nissan will outclass Toyota Land Cruiser (100 and now the 200 series) which so far was better on road than the Patrol (better off road).
@nitro2050 They already have one kiddo. Its called IPL (Infiniti performance line). The IPL G37 coupe comes out next month, just in time for the holidays. =) It will be spread across most of the Infiniti Line up by next mid year. The IPL series competes with AMG, S-line, M-series and Lexus F. The IPL G37 convertible, sedan, and FX SUV will recieve the IPL engine early or by mid next year
@SixHundredHP And those are just thier basic innovations, they have an array of saftey features, highend technology, they are one of the most intuitive vehicles on the market today, sure Mercedes Invented the air bag, so what? every car has one now. What sets Infiniti apart form every other manufacturer is technology, they have been the first and responsible for many innovations being used and adopted by many other cars in todays market.
@vipermoon64 I don't think the explorer looks weird, well I did at first but now I love the styling, between that and the new dodge durango I think there are some really nice SUVs coming out. But the OX56 is just soo awfully ugly I agree with you on that.
@SixHundredHP Clearly you are deprived of great engineering. Cadillac has a performance devision, so what?? Lexus , Infiniti, BMW, Audi and Mercedes have them two. How exactly does that set them apart from the offerings of its rivals?? Obviously the CTS-V engine will be compared because it plays as a contender in the performance devision. Cadillac is behind, they dont have a current sport convertible to compete with the 3 series conv, G-conv or Audi conv, yet alone a mid sized sedan like the M37
@SixHundredHP LOL wow, you people just simply throw out false knowledge over a company you guys have no idea about, your statement is all biased. I dont glorify Infiniti but one thing I know is that they are the center of innovations, many people dont even recognize it. infiniti is responsible for the creation of the rear view camera, around view monitor, lane derparture warning and prevention, blind spot intervention, Bi-xenon headlights, BMW did not have auto leveling in 93, self healing paint
@SixHundredHP Hahahaha wow I cant believe you just siad that, lmao, the only reason cadillac holds its title is because of the Escalade, when the hell do you ever see a Mercedes, BMW, Infiniti or Lexus owner ever cross shop a cadillac?? Never, unless your in the sports utility market then thats when there is real competition. Are you kidding me I would never by a CTS over a G37 sedan, not even a SRX over the FX yet a lone a Cadillac over a BMW or Mercedes. You must only like american, figures.
@SixHundredHP Your concept of brand image and luxury is that equivelant to a homeless man at a Mcdonalds thinking he's at a five star restaurant. Cadillac might be known for the creation of one car, the escalade, but not even a reviewer ever compares cadillac with Mercedes, BMW, Infiniti or Lexus, they just arent up to par with the rest of the top dogs in the luxury market. And as for Infiniti not being known?? dont be so niave, Mercedes,BMW ,lexus and Infiniti owners all cross shop each other.
@Ugross2195 The new Ford Explorer is just as ugly with just as wierd styling. Okay not just as ugly and wierd, but still pretty ugly and wierd. I'm neither a Ford or Infinity fan, but those two cars are just odd.
I don't find it ugly, in fact its design makes it quite unique

Everyone has different opinions on this.
But there are a lot of people that think it is beautiful.
Reminds me of the dodge ram how the hood with the grill part is higher than the sides of the hood.
@SixHundredHP Ok, you seem to at least one fact in check, so tell me how is this relevant to the Escalade and the Qx56 agian?
@SixHundredHP By the way the Escalade wasnt in the market till 1999, the Infiniti QX has been out since 1997, so your point is? . ;)
i've seen these on the road before, they are pretty cooll! i saw one in Scottsdale (you know those rich people lol) & one around the phoenix, they were awesome! :D
Infiniti's are great cars don't be fooled by domestic fanboys. Yes GM is making improvements but Infiniti has all the latest technology in their cars and has good reliability look that shit up.
i thought this was more of a lincoln navigator cadillac escalade competitor not a mercdz benz gl or audi q7 competitor

my god. i haven't seen this guy in a while.
I would definitely put this SUV in my shooing list!
@Johncarson9113 totally agree , it is safest car
i dont want the car to brake itself....wat if i wanna ram the other cars?
@WheelsXXLDriver Listen to what he's talking about. Thats why its in one angle
sick car
@jattpunjabi93 ya me too i think it looks nice
The car looks pretty good, other than the fake side vents.

@Johncarson9113 haha did that guy say most people never heard of Infiniti??? Infiniti's are all over the place here in Dallas

looks like a rhino. I like it!
15 mpg ain't bad. my X5 and Cayenne only get 16
@Hummers222 haha nobody gave u thumbs up... plus I'm pretty sure this is way more reliable than an Escalade.
It's butt-ugly but it's beautiful.
@vipermoon64 I don't think the explorer looks weird, well I did at first but now I love the styling, between that and the new dodge durango I think there are some really nice SUVs coming out. But the OX56 is just soo awfully ugly I agree with you on that.
First time I saw this I thought it's fucking ugly. But it's actually growing on me ...
Car rides like a king, it will embarrass even sporty cars, you wont be disappointed, but man is it ugly up front. Perfect family SUV! woot woot!
I am not a beluga whale.
...who in their right mind looked at that and said: "yes that is nice; lets start producing it" !?!?!?!
would look nice with 28in flat blk rims :D
Mines on 34’s

@Hummers222 well yes I agree it is ugly like hell lol I've seen them in person. I'm just saying it's probably better quality.
@SixHundredHP Hahahaha wow I cant believe you just siad that, lmao, the only reason cadillac holds its title is because of the Escalade, when the hell do you ever see a Mercedes, BMW, Infiniti or Lexus owner ever cross shop a cadillac??
