That said, a couple years later, think we could get a followup recap video, with a ranked list of the results? Like Pennzoil barely lost to Amsoil in rd. 1, but very well may have still performed better then much of the field?
    Maybe even retest the top 3 or 4 against any new comers, or new brand technologies making bold claims?

      @Ri2nonerok no the most popular Liqui Moly oil was 5w 40 Leichtlauf High Tech, but the new Molygen New Generation 5w 30 5w 40 oils are gaining more popularity. I used to use the Leichtlauf but I tried the Molygen 5w 40 and I’m sold. It made my engine significantly quieter.

      I use the Liqui Moly Motor Clean every 30k, and change my oil every 6k. I would use Leichtlauf and the mos2 anti-friction treatment, now I just use Molygen 5w 40.

    Why did those wear scars look the same size but end up being 10x the loss? I think something is off with your testing. What were the wear scar sizes throughout the championship of all the competitors compared? I use Mobil 1 but this is definitely off, scroll through your comments, I’m not the only one that thinks these results are not accurate. Why don’t you use calipers and measure the size of the wear scars as well?

    • @NATESINTERACTIVEAUTO
      @NATESINTERACTIVEAUTO  Před 4 lety +1

      Yes the depth of the scars plays a large part in the weight and i have used calipers in the past there is a time difference in testing for the championship also temperature change.

    It’s incredible. The car just wants to go fast, never experienced this before using other brands. It’s expensive; but boy the performance.

    • @K03sport
      @K03sport Před 2 lety +4

      These all seem to be cold, room temperature test, which is not the same as a 200*F engine. The bearing test might generate heat, but not anything close to the inside of a running engine

    This isn’t statistically independent data or testing. Nobody ever does a single trial and determines a winner from that. You MUST run each experiment at LEAST 3 times but really 5 is better. Otherwise too many variables which can result in sources of error. Thanks for sharing the video though :)

      ...ut oh...I just put the green 5w-30 LM w/molygen in my 19 wrx (38k mi) and I can tell something if off. I've lost about 2 mpg and the engine has a lower tone like it's working harder. All 6 prior oil changes were done at the dealer so now I'm curious what oil (in bulk) they use for the FA20DIT. The LM stuff is islac gf6 and the FA20DIT is spec'd for gf5....ironically, my 04 GTI loved LM 5w-40 which is why I wanted to try it in the wrx. Guess I need another plan....
