    Hi Cassandra - I have so many questions about this video, but the main one is why are you saying this device is microcurrent? It is an EMS device (electronic muscle stimulation); it says it right on the box and I have confirmed this with Medicube since I was very confused. Microcurrent and EMS are different modalities. The manual I have never a mentions the word microcurrent- not even once. From what I have learned, muscle twitching on your face means you are depleting ATP, which means or you are depleting cellular energy. With all my microcurrent devices, I’m always told to turn it down if my face is twitching because it’s too strong. But this isn’t even a microcurrent device.
    You never want to use any device has an electrical current near your thyroid or your heart so I would not suggest using it on your chest or anywhere near your throat!
    With this type of electrical stimulation, wouldn’t you not want to use it every single day and instead give your face at least one day in between to recover and rest?
    You say the AGE-R device is like the MDNA device (the Madonna device) coupled with radio frequency. Where is radio frequency coming from? RF is a totally separate modality that uses heat and works the skin of the face, not the muscles.
    Lastly, facial yoga can be effective if done properly and it’s not always a scam. If you’re using it to actually work/strengthen the muscles on your face as opposed to just massaging the muscles with your hands/fingers, it can work. I’ve done some very challenging facial yoga before and it’s not just massaging my face.
    Looking forward to your response. I think there’s a lot of misinformation about this device - in the manual, on their website, and in CZcams videos like this one - I didn’t even cover it all in this comment. I’m concerned that people are getting scammed or at the very least misinformed.

    • @medicube_global_official
      @medicube_global_official Před 2 lety +28

      Hi! Thank you so much for raising your questions. We'd like to help explain our Age-R device and Cassandra's choice of words ourselves, if that's okay with you!
      As we have already left our comment on your channel, "microcurrent" is a generic term used collectively to refer to a wide range of facial care methods that utilize low-intensity currents, including Galvanic currents, iontoporesis, and EMS. Most devices in the market operate as a single polarity method that allows either Anode(+) or Cathode(-) to flow, which are commonly referred to as "microcurrent" in the market. Meanwhile, EMS (such as our Age-R Device) uses bipolarity where two polarities alternatively cross and are transferred to induce direct muscle tremors.
      In other words, EMS can be categorized as a type of microcurrent which utilizes bipolar currents to stimulate muscles. This is backed up by the fact that the term "microcurrent" is also often used to refer to similar low-amplitude current muscle stimulation (such as MENS) in several academic papers, which indicates that microcurrent and EMS are not necessarily two contrasting principles.
      Our Age-R has been certified for its safety from several major institutions (Europe, USA, Japan, and Korea), so rest assured our Age-R won't cause harm if used correctly. It is also backed up by studies that administrating electrical stimuli (such as EMS) will actually help promote ATP production, not deplete it.
      We hope our explanations helped clarify some of your questions. Thank you so much again for your comment and please feel free to leave further questions or comments!

      @@anaamore6907 The EMS device still works. The device stimulates the muscles of the face that are directly attached to the skin; this happens nowhere else in the body. If you stimulate them, you’ll keep the muscles toned and taught over time. This definitely helps you have a tighter appearance on the skin :)

    • @weendylry5598
      @weendylry5598 Před 2 lety +4

      according to you, muscle twitching is bad because it depletes ATP. would you apply the same logic to exercising too? since exercising definitely contract and relax muscle vigorously thus consumes high cellular energy. or is that logic only applicable to this device?

      Thank you for a great question! I was thinking the same! And you’ve got a logic! My mom does professional massage for a past 25 years, she specializes of French massage ( btw that’s why too many French women eat a lot of greasy food and say slim) , it’s a mix of Vietnamese and euro massages; and on facial massage. She is 55 and her face looks like 35! :)) No, it’s not generic, trust me. She Lived and worked in Vietnam for 10years. She thought me a lot how to get rid of saggy skin on my face and there is no crazy costly devises and face straps or face yoga you find on CZcams. she is trying hard not to laugh when someone telling her about some face yoga video or book. It’s complicated, has rules, you need training. Videos on CZcams is crap, at least I’ve never seen a legit one.. and why would you… do you know home much cost such massage done by professional, how long you need to study to get it right! I can’t even describe with words here. If you are interested, I would definitely recommend you to find a masseuse that can teach you or have a professionally done massages. I know someone in NY if you want. Be ready, such massages are painful. please don’t trust some edited pics before and after on CZcams or Instagram. facial masage with yoga are not meant to change bone structure lol just tighten your skin and smooth wrinkles. And you have to do this all the time to keep results, just like with your abs ;)

    1. Microneedling 13 years
    2. Fascia Blaster Mini for Face
    3. Cupping facial size cups

    Dunno about the other devices but I'd argue that face yoga and facial massage does work even if it takes more time to show the same result as the tech devices. There's a reason why elders often told us not to slouch or not pout, and kpop idols and models are said to practice certain mouth movements to be able to smile wider. Proper posture stays with us because the muscles will develop as much and I say the same applies to facial expressions and facial muscles.

      It's not exact science, but high frequency would be the speed at which a device vibrates, whereas micro current would be sending an electric impulse directly into the superficial muscles beneath the skin. Considering how thin facial skin is, it sounds like it would feel amazing.

As you may know, as we get older the subcutaneous fat starts to diminish causing a loss of volume in our face. Making us look old. According to Dr Alexis Stephens, niacinamide should generally be pretty well tolerated by most. She said in her video on ingredients not to mix, that it's probably more due to the formulation. She mentioned people could be reacting to citric acid in a product. Someone else suggested propanediol as a culprit. Dr Dray has a video, why niacinamide burns and causes redness and recommends some products without it.
