    I am reliving so many memories whilst watching these videos. To think I first saw the Rade de Villefranche over 30 yrs ago and have visited these places many times over the years with ex-lovers, friends and aquaintences. I will never leave nor fall out of love with this coastl

    This is fantastic! And very nostalgic for this Leeds boy who, in 1975, landed a job as commis waiter at the hotel La Voile do'r for the summer season. Staff bedrooms were by the quayside below the pool- now it would seem converted to guest accommodation. The guests were literally a who's who of aristocracy or new monied celebs (Rd Stewart/Brit Eckland) i got caught up in the Lord Lucan carry on through Dominic Elwes, served drinks at David Nivens private cocktails parties at his villa and hung out at the Rothschild Mansion where we had befriended the caretakers family. Thank you for this brilliant portrayal of a place etched into my heart! Memorable being an understatement!

    What is the world coming to? The Voile D'or turned into an apartment block albeit an exclusive one, hopefully developers do it tastefully as taste is sadly lacking in todays architecture, these walks are truly inspiring and I would like you to know that. The Mediterranean coast line brings tears to my eyes It is so beautiful and I really really do hope that these greedy developers do not start building out into the sea as in Monaco, I know Monaco is for increasing the square miles but just saying..keep walking X.

    • @MeandMonAmi
      @MeandMonAmi  Před 2 lety

      Thanks Sarah. I cant work out whether it’s going to become a hotel with apartments or apartments. They are pretty good round here at restricting developments, Monaco is a different story all together.
