I have bought many of these albums
From cassettes when i was a child to the switch of cd and now the boom of vinyl again.
I love music it is life.
Some of these dates are wrong, and I don't think compilations/greatest hits should qualify as an "album".
The amount of sales are wrong too
NIIICCCCE!!! Alice in Chains are in the list. Was literally just listening to Dirt
Wow I didn't know Def Leppard was that popular, but then I thought about all the hits they have, and said: "...yeah, that makes sense"
Dude you forgot several albums that sold at least 10 million copies in the US. Some of these artists should be on your video multiple times as well but these are the biggest albums.
Kid Rock Devil Without A Cause-11 mil
Green Day-Dookie 10 mil
Nickelback-All The Right Reasons-10 mil
Smashing Pumpkins, 'Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness'- 10 mil
Nirvana-Nevermind 10 mil
Creed-Human Clay- 11 mil.
Pearl Jam- Ten 13 mil
I knew that Reo Speedwagon was very popular at one time, but I never knew that one of their albums sold ten million copies which means they have a Diamond album. I do remember hearing that Guns N Roses album Appetite For Destruction is the best selling debut album surpassing Boston's debut album.
It was REOs Greatest Hits..not a real album.
Can’t believe Chocolate Starfish and the Hotdog Flavored Water is the fastest selling rock album ever
Yup it’s dogshit
Megadeth sold millions as well.
ACDC Back in Black has sold over 50 million copies worldwide. More than Led Zeppelin iv
But this is not worldwide. this is the U.S only..
I was expecting to see albums like
Never mind, Number of the beast, Iowa, Sgt Peppers
Sgt Peppers = hard rock?
Great video 💯💯💯💯
Have 81 of these, as REO were rightly included where are Styx?
Wow I'm surprised there were no megadeth albums in here wtf
Megadeth's most sold album of all time is CTE. ( 2 million )
@@Mr.Swiss.Passport that's a sad number for a band that made Rust In Piece
Iron Maiden as well?
What program did you make the video with?
Wow i didnt expect REO speedwagon that much
My favorite rock album ever made ten million. I'm pretty happy
One small correction point: Metal Health sold 10 million copies, not 6 million
wow, surprised there’s no toxicity here
- ZZ top and the Black Crowes are closer to southern rock
- Most successful bands in the 60s and 70s rarely have an album above 2 million.
- Kiss Alive has never received it's platinum certification, and if counted as Two would be about 4-6 million.
nhai app ka channel monitize kiyon nahi howa
I don’t care for them but surprised no Korn or Rage Agsinst The Machine?
No. Follow the leader is on the list with 5 million
No Nirvana either
@@semird615 that's grunge
@@zde1532 Rush isn't even hard rock either. And there you have Soundgarden in the list. Grunge is not a genre, is a movement.
@@joaquinlezcano2372 rush is prog rock my friend
awesome genre!!
So who is the best selling hard rock solo artist of curse Elvis presley but who is the second and third i wanna know
KISS ALIVE and LoveGun sold 4million
Skidrow 1st shot hits?
2:30 Whitesnake 1987
How has paranoid only sold 4 million?
This is US sales sold more world wide
Sold just under 10 mill world wide
You know this list is wrong without pinkfloyd
There are so many things wrong about this list
Hell yehhhh guns n roses!!!!
Back in Black is the best selling Rock album of all time.
Isn't the bestselling rock album of all time the eagles greatest hits 1971 1975 I've heard it's sold well over 50 Million
Back in Black has 60 million+ sold look it up
@@knight666mare it depends on what sources you're quoting from they all give different statistics however the vast majority of them say that' the eagles have outsold Michael Jackson's thriller and last I checked that album sold a lot more than ac dc
@@brianreaney1518 what ever you say
@brianreaney1518 ACDC kicks everyone's arse ..exceptMichael Jackson 🤣
Yes. Metallica
WHERE THE HELL IS KISS???
Led zeppelin just god
Nice list, but it's incorrect. Back in Black is the #1 selling hard rock album of all time at 50 million, #2 is Led Zep IV sold 37 million. If #1 & 2 are wrong this isn't a credible list.
Hey, I've got 45 of those albums 😀
Where the fucking hell is Iron Maiden?
Iron Maiden never updated their sales.
Didn’t see Nitvana anywhere
Nirvana respect
The are grunge
Theyre not hard rock even though some people would call them it - far more punk
Alice In Chains and Soundgarden considered grunge\heavy metal too, but I Believe Nirvana is much weaker even if had better sales. Though you can see my comment to see that this video is partially wrong because of it is "100" and consists of AC\DC and Aerosmith mostly. I didn't seen a lot of things here, and I Believe that Stone Temple Pilots (also a grunge band) must be here.
@@aidenswords5809 Thrash Metal also was influenced by punk - Metallica is here (strangely, not any other thrash bands from Big 4). AC\DC is a bit punky - 30% are AC\DC releases. Alice In Chains and Soundgarden are on the list, both of them considered to be grunge too. Nirvana too heavy for Rock, too clunky for Heavy metal. Just for check - grunge can be called a combination of heavy metal and punk.
Nirvana? Megadeth? pearl jam? only one jimi hendricks
Back in black????
No Iron Maiden. Surprising
No Styx?
THE ANGELS !!! FACE TO FACE 1978!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No nirvana album lol ?
This can’t be right.
surprised Nirvana's Nevermind isn't here
Too Many errors
I think these are old U.S. numbers
Jason B
Do a world wide sales not just usa
No MCR? Really?
Only US*
godsmack? ok...
No Iron Maiden
How is rush hard rock
You're right, Rush is Heavy Metal, Prog Metal to be precise.
@@glennwarlock1555rush isn’t metal
How are they not?
WHERE THE HECK IS BACK IN BACK????!?!?!??!
Back in black? Was #2
Literally #2
I can't believe Staind sold $5 million! They're so boring zzzzzzzz😴
Ohh ya korn none other than the best nu metal band
that's like being the best student at Saturday School
Where the Hell is Appetite For Destruction?
at the end
Like #3 Alltime. Followed By Back in Black at #2, and Led Zeppelin IV at #1.
#3..
Redacted: You better do separate videos for Hard Rock, Heavy Metal and Alternative Metal (yeah, that's differs from classic heavy metal stuff and cannot be put in the same place - grunge, industrial, nu, that kinda stuff is not literally heavy metal), and not to dance around "cool numbers" like 100 or 50, and do have count all the albums that have got at least one million - that would be more clear and justified. I cannot accept the list where all the justy Led Zeppelin placements combined with having Godsmack and Nine Inch Nails and no Iron Maiden or Black Sabbath in the list, completely made of Aerosmith, Guns N Roses and AC\DC. All the next comment in its raw format when I wrote it right after watching video, danger, toxic waste.
No Thrash Metal at all - Metallica doesn't count. You better kick off the Garage Inc. It is sold well but it is not an original work of band, it is a cover compilation.
No Death Metal being really well-sold in 1990-s especially Cannibal Corpse "The Bleeding".
A lot of Glam (and no Kiss) and overall known releases...
But where's all the nicest heavy metal stuff like Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath (Paranoid only?), Judas Priest (didn't seen one), Motorhead - they did hit the peaks too
Where's the f*ck is Dream Theater's "Images and Words" or "Awake"?
Thank god you did not put "Nevermind" and did put "Dirt" instead. But if there's were Korn and Disturbed, no Slipknot or System Of A Down with having Evanescence (that only had ONE metal album for the whole time of existing)? If you put a lot of alternative stuff in here - no Rammstein being known worldwide and having all albums sold like a million time once on reissue. No Marilyn Manson as well.
No Pantera. No Kiss (Pantera's favourite band). No Deep Purple (I didn't seen one).
There's Jimi Hendrix - then where are The Doors with the self-titled debut and "Strange Days" that considered to be the same genre with Hendrix and being the most selling ones across the USA.
Do NOT ever make a video with Hard Rock and Heavy Metal Combined. Hard Rock is Hard Rock. That means that AC\DC cannot stand between metal releases like Metallica or Iron Maiden. Alternatvie metal - all of them, like grunge, industrial, nu - never stands with classic of heavy and extreme metal.
Sorry for negative review - this is the way it is.
Damn, AC/DC pissed ya off huh? Hahaha. Deal with it
@@clamjammer5501 AC\DC didn't pissed me off, I actually enjoy that band, but when making such lists it is much better to only put one most selling work of the band and not all of it's commercially successful records. Because of that a lot of unique and good bands wouldn't be covered in the video. It is just if i put there every Queen and Abba album, and it would have been half of the list which is not justifiable in any way.
@@clamjammer5501 Read the comment slower and not just a few words on a top, my reaction is quite big and objective.
what about back in black
it was #2 with 22 million sold
It’s on the list
Is now #1with 26 million sold
