I actually like the height of clip! The handle is so thin that the clip ends up serving as a bit of a hand filling measure. Granted, I've only ever handled TRMs for sharpening, and light testing. I wish they were thinner behind the edge. They're not bad slicers by any means, but they also aren't even remotely the "laser beams" that a lot of people claim them to be. At a past job, I did tons of business with Halpern Titanium and they were always great to work with. They seem like great people, so its awesome to see TRM so successful.
I didn't think of the clip in that way. It makes sense. When I had my atom I use to cut so much cardboard and it use to just glide through no issue. I also use to cut through small twigs and small branches with mine. For me they are very great with slicing. Yes maybe not "laser beam" but they work great!
