About 10 years ago I was working in the city and passed a knife shop that had spyderco knives on display and I was intrigued. Had a few swiss army knives and a leatherman but had never considered getting a dedicated folder. In Australia these knives are very expensive, so I ended up choosing the ambitious, it was a good size for what I needed and far cheaper than the US made ones. It was and still is a fantastic little workhorse that really opened my eyes. Last Christmas I bought myself a g10 para 3 as a reward for a hard years work and in a couple of days I'll have a lightweight para 3 arriving. I dont have a lot of cash to spend after bills are paid, so if I put my money down I expect quality in a product, and in my experiences so far spyderco deliver. A triumph of form and function.
Yes they are hard working, reliable knives. They are my go-to. Even the budget models like the ambitious and tenacious are well worth the money in my opinion
@@chimchu3232 tenacious is my first spyderco. As soon as I used it for a few days I understood it. Been wanting a PM2 for a couple years now.
Yep same for me! Walking past Wellington surplus in Perth and I walked in and walked out with a para 2.
Once you get over the looks of the PM2 and actually buy one.... it's all over... lol
@@patriotsfan1236 not really, still don't really get it, and won't own one, and am years into the hobby. Mainly because Spyderco don't produce a real usable flipper, and I like high end Chinese flippers like Reate.
@@waveman0 how does Spyderco not "produce a useable flipper"......... Stupid comment.
When I first saw a Spyderco I immediately loved the design. Wow. I hated old school pen knife design with the bolster and nail nick. I was shocked after getting one how ergonomic and just practical and usable the shape actually is. I totally agree with your summations. Spyderco invented the wheel of the knife world.
"The knife world"
To non knife people this is a window looking into a nieche hobby and activity from the outside.
To knife people, this is a wonderful imaginary realm, where knives grow on trees, and streams of nano oil flow.
It's so funny how many of us have the same story. When I was younger the first couple knives I bought were gerbers and cold steels. I saw spyderco on websites and just said, 'oh weird'. Wasn't sure why they were being promotes as a major brand. Years later I bought a tenacious, and now the majority of the knives I own are spyderco. Getting one in hand really makes you realize what a fantastic product they have, and the designs even start to look more appealing as you see the function in them.
Exactly. I had the same experience, once I held/used the tenacious I immediately ordered a pm2. Fantastic solidly built knives
Spyderco delica was my first folding knife, and it's still my favorite and my EDC. The dimensions, weight, everything It's the perfect knife for me !
I know this is an old video, but in 1996 as 19 year old construction worker I walked into a hardware store and there was a spyderco display near the register. It was the first time I seen a knife with a pocket clip and a full serrated blade. I bought it and within the first 20 seconds of playing with it in my truck I sliced my thumb with that serrated blade so deep I had to get stitches. Been a spyderco fan ever since.
When I 1st saw Spyderco, it was one of the smaller plastic handle ones and I thought it was a flea market knife.
Lol 😂
I've been carrying Spyderco's for what almost 30 years now. My uncle was a LEO and carried a super early model when they were like mysterious super-high-end knives and it stuck with me into being a Firefighter/Medic and a Wilderness EMT instructor. I worked with a bunch of local PNW knife companies (Gerber, Benchmade, Leatherman and Kershaw) doing field/destructive testing and design refinement for some well known knives and tools but I always carried a Spyderco (and an ESEE) on my life-vest when doing float trips and in my pack when out hunting and backpacking/teaching while I was supposed to be testing other brands knives. Ive never had a Spyderco fail me and Ive used their knives in really stupid and just plain nasty conditions.
My 1st knife was a delica back in 1992. The pocket clip is molded into the scale. Seeing it in the display case, I instantly feel in love with Spyderco!!!
That was my first as well. I was about 12 years old when I got it, and it was fully serrated with the molded in pocket clip…
That was my first one-hand open knife too. Carried that thing for years and years and loved it. A coworker broke the tip on it using it like a screwdriver.
Recent convert to Spydercos here. Ever since I put a Para 3 in my hand I was baptized into Spydercoism and immediately saw the light. Love their knives and love the company.
i'm just now getting drunk on spyderco's, I held a friends spidey and was HOOKED, only problem is some have the 5 letter word that I hate "CHINA"
@@silverwiskers7371 totally, probably the thing I hate most about them is there are SO many fakes out there.
I got my first Spyderco a few months ago and it's the Sprint run Para 3 in carbon fiber and 52100. This is a great knife and I plan to get a PM2.
Watching this while spydi flicking my para 3 light weight.
I polished the edge on my Kapara and Smock while watching this video. My Para 3 Maxamet never needs to be polished! Form follows function on Spyderco knives. I remember hearing about Spyderco knives and seeing maybe one when I was younger. I thought “what’s the deal with that hole?”. I don’t know why it didn’t already make sense to me after growing up with thumbnail nicks. Later I got a PM2 and now I feel like I wasted a lot of years carrying other knives! Good stuff.
I love Spyderco too. All the super steels at a reasonable price is my favorite aspect of their business plan.
Been on a knife kick lately and I finally bought a Spyderco. Wasn't a fan of the looks but too many ppl swear by them so I got a para 3. Within 2 hours it became my favorite knife.
I am relatively new to your page & really admire your enthusiasm for this genre. I am exploring some of your older content & just viewed this vid. Even though I am new to Spyderco, I am also enjoying a few of the Spyderco folders that have been recently purchased. The design & functionality have grown on me the more that I deploy & use them. This has been a very educational & enlightening view into this company.
Ive alwayssss been a benchmade fanboy, but after some quality issues i decided to go for Spyderco. Ive lived by their factory my entire life and wrongfully judged them just by their looks. But once i got the Manix 2 for search and rescue i learned just how amazing they are! Truly made for your hands and for R E A L use! If youre on the fence... GET ONE and you'll be hooked i promise
Manix 2 is such an amazing knife. I think because the PM2 is so popular ppl don’t get to experience the Manix 2 but the lightweight was my first spyderco and it is amazing still
Dude couldn't agree with you more. Your enthusiasm matches mine. I would always recommend these knives to anybody who was asking for a pocket knife. I own a pm2 and a manix 2 lightweight. I love both of them. Noted that I'm probably one of the newbys your talking about. I feel though that through your channel and channels like yours have helped me be more educated and informed on my purchases.
I love Spydercos...didn't know what was so great about em, but once I bought myself a Manix 2, I converted.
Bought myself the chicago as my very first spyderco. A small knife that is easy to conceal and carry but I have my eyes on the manix 2 as well... I held it in my hand at the knife shop and I was attracted to it....
It was a Tenacious that got me roped into the knife world. Good video!
@@MrTJohnston i had the same issue. A few spydercos later i think the tenacious is the better one. Nicer in the hand and a sensible price.
My first spyderco was a tenacious as well now I have roughly 10 spydercos.....90% of my knives are spyderco
My first Spyderco was also a Tenacious! I got it at Walmart for $37.00 about 3 years ago.
I use a Clip it Delica I bought about 20 years ago and I still love it. It's nice and thin for the pocket and it opens perfectly. I just wish it didn't have any serrations. Love the channel man.
Para3 LW did it for me. First spyderco and “high end” pocket knife too. Love it
Today my first spyderco arrived exactly a week ago, in the photos it looks very very different, when I opened the box it was love at first sight, I bought it because it was the pm 2 edition with cpm rex 45 and copper handle and it was simply without words, beautiful in every way
For me, my 1st compression lock was a Para3 lightweight workhorse in black on black.🖤
My second Spyderco came in the mail as a special edition Shaman in "Rosewood" and that knife is perfect for now... maybe forever.😍
For me it was the Delica. UPS wasn't even down the street after dropping it off, I already had it open. One look and I was on the website ordering the PM2
I scan all these videos trying to decide my next buy, and you gave me a GREAT side by side of all the flagship models and what sound they make when they pop open. TY SO MUCH.
Great video! The Spyderco Persistence was the first “good” knife I bought, like 6 years ago. At first I thought they looked dumb, but after watching a bunch of videos. I changed my mind. Loved that Persistence, and I personally love the Delica more then the pm2 and Manix. But so far I haven’t hated a Spyderco knife!
I just bought my 1st spyderco it was a para 3 that was almost a year ago and now I have 42 spydies now love the spyderco!!!!!
I have probably owned and handled between 3500 and 4000 different knifes and two of my absolute favorites are the once I use today a Spyderco Manix2 in Cru-wear and Dragonfly in ZDP-189 I really love them both for their really awesome ergonomics.
This is exactly the kind of video I was looking for as a new guy to knives. Thanks!
I was thrown off by the spyderco hole at first but after flicking one open i was hooked
First got into balisongs and bought a kershaw lucha. Was suprised with how useful having a knife around was. Got into knives and bought a kabar usmc (im a history nerd). Was looking for an edc for the last month and finally just settled on a spyderco alcyone. Arriving in a week, hope i love it! Thanks for all the info this video helped my decision to go with a spyderco for my first folder
'A buffet of hand manipulation'..well said, that man- bringing metal poetry to the masses;)
thank you so much for this vid...im new to the knife game... appreciate it
Satin blade s110v manix 2, replacement carbon fiber scales, titanium lock cage... beautiful
Thanks for the vid. I'm new to this knife stuff.
My first Spyderco that got me into the whole world was an old serrated POLICE. I’ve been crazy about it ever since. Although now I’m a little more into nice traditional slipjoints like GEC, I never leave the house without a PM3 or dragonfly 2 in H1.
The fit, finish, & function of the Spydercos is nothing but spectacular.
I remember buying a knock off delica at a fair as a kid... I was like what the heck is this weird hole for? Over a decade later and I'm hooked lol
I bought my first spyderco knife in 1990. It was a scalloped ( blunt tip) rescue version since I was a Green Beret medic. I’ve traded it for a delica and carried several versions for decades. Gave them to my kids..lost a few.. now I have the Chinese Tenacious… the one handed easy opening technique is what brought me back over and over..to me it’s the only knife I’ll ever carry..
Ever since I saw Denzel Washington pull one on the crackheads in training day I always thought it was the coolest looking knife
I’ll leave you one nut; which one you want?! Make a decision....... make a decision!
Grabbed my first pocket knife after owning $3,200.00 worth of multitools. I grabbed the Spyderco para 3 in g10 black. Love it
When I was back in middle school I got into pocket knives. Mostly just had Walmart junk until my dad and I went to a blade show and he got me a Kershaw Volt ll, which still today is one of my favorites. Then for my 18th birthday I got a black on black PM2 and since then my Spyderco collection has been steadily multiplying.
I love Spyderco. So many knives in so many steels makes exploring them so much fun. If you're ever looking for a strange steel in a knife you'll find it with Spyderco. Fun video. I think you're body language near the end when were getting excited would have been funny to see. Lol
A late comment but I just have to say that the first time I saw the pm2, I knew I had to collect them and a slew of other spydercos I now own 😊👍
Spyderco,”Hold my cup”.
Love it
Def a huge Spyderco fan boy, that even had to go back and make my youngest son watch this video to make him understand not from me why so many love spyderco. He is a Benchmade fanboy. One thing I always told my boy was I just couldn’t get into Benchmade as much because of their prices. Didn’t feel a lot of their knives just few years bk with just 154cm or vg10 steel on $100 plus knives etc on a frn type body etc.. glad they have finally changed their blade steal but still a frn or cf-elite handle to me is not worth $180 etc with even s30v on it. Unfortunately hating to say it spyderco is going same way now and it’s killing me. Understand a small price job after a few years etc if material and cost go up etc....for company but just to go up on em cause they know they can. Or this across the board price jump after Jan 1,2020.. heck u even say the Spyderco Shaman went from 150 to 180 and now after that price jump its $202 and change...killing me. For that price I’d want to have some titanium on that handle somewhere or something special then just g10 and cpm s30v. I don’t have a ton of money(not many do) but def not since going on disability after second back surgery etc and having 5 kids to care for it’s def making me have to think twice if I can even invest into another spyderco like used all the time. Even more with the way the budget priced knives from China nowadays coming here with titanium, carbon fiber, sculpted g10 or mircarta etc. all for under $100. Heck even Companies like Kershaw are making some decent American made knives at a good price point if I need to say I bought American.... granted I’m sure I will still get Spyderco. Heck my last was the Kapara before price jump. I was interested in getting a replacement for my pacific salt I gave my oldest son but their new one is now over $100 and all if seen em really do is take out the liners. So I’m paying a lot more for less material then their original. Don’t know where I may stand in future with spyderco because I truly do love the ones I got now and want so many more. But I really need to look at cost and like you say point of diminishing returns
Can’t find frn on a Benchmade.
Just started looking at Spyderco this year, all I see that they have is frn..
I love the way spyderco knives look💖
That’s what drew me into them.
I actually ordered the para 2 digi Camo with the black blade😍🤤
I’m super excited to get it👍🏼👍🏼
I own a variety of knives & Spyderco is one of my faves.
I'm a newbie, thanks for posting. I always look for function in anything, so it didn't look weird when I first saw a Spyderco.
Thanks for the video. This makes a lot more sense. Now I want a Spyderco
Bought my spidee H1 around ten years ago and I have never looked back. Great EDC knife...use it everyday around the ranch and it always performs.
I bought my first Spyderco around... 1990 or so - a serrated edge Copilot. My college roommate was an avid climber and NOLS instructor and swore by the brand. Turns out he was right. Today, I own the Para3 G-10, the Chaparral with raffir noble scales and the Kapara. I love flippers but the Spydie hole is a fantastic deployment technology.
I love the looks of them personally! I just got my first Delica and love it too. But I think the Manix and Para 3 are "my" knives. But my next two are probably the Para 2 and Native.
Awesome video I am totally going to either get a Manix 2 or Para3 haven’t decided but cool video.
I think they look weird but cool, quirky and unique. What got me hooked is the spydie flick. It's just so fun and satisfying with the thumb hole
Started years ago when the tenacious just came out. Lost it right away and replaced it with a delica and dragonfly. Many years later, I daily carry a PM2 in s110v
Excellent topic. I’m starting to really like your channel.
It all started with the Para 3 for me about 3 months ago. I now have 8 spydercos, 3 ZTs, 3 benchmades, Heretic Manticore S, and a Hinderer XM-18 3”
watching and snapping my Spyderco Insistent,. New to collecting and loved this informative upload. Thanks.
Spyderco is great if you want sharp flat ground knives. Cold Steel is great if you want durable hard use knives. CRKT is great if you want really cheap knives. Benchmade is great if you want to pay too much.
Well how about SOG knives, Kershaw, I bought some knives at a gun show today 3/23/24 I can't find any knife stores or sporting goods stores where can I buy for a knife collection
I bought a Para 3 Lightweight and absolutley love it!
Great video! I started into knives a long while back with an all SS Spyderco Dragonfly, such an amazing design! I now have a lot more knives, and around half are Spyderco knives. Opinel (
Spyderco, ZT, and Benchmade are probably my 3 favorite MFGs for production knives. I have bought 14 Spydercos I believe in the past month lol. I ordered a few today. I see Blade HQ had the Southard flipper I thought that was discontinued a year or 2 ago. It was $230 which seems like what it always used to be but I wanted it. I bought the stepped blue anodized titanium Chapparal too since Knifecenter had it $199 and Blade HQ upped them to over $300 so I figured I better get one before they are finally gone and people pay crazy money for them. I got another squarehead too to give to my dad. I bought the Magnitude too and the Knifecenter exclusive Lil Native and exclusive red battleworn Benchmade Bugout. I don't have any customs or anything. With as much as I have spent lately maybe I better just buy one lol spent a grand today on what I just got. I usually only buy when on sale, or discontinued. I have bought some exclusives though to have something different then everybody else and it seems people go nuts to buy those exclusives when you cant get them anymore so I can sell them later and never loose a penny if I wanted to. I wish I knew St Nick's Knives was doing Spyderco exclusives. One of their handful of stores in AL is in the Tanger Outlet Mall like 2 lights south of me. They said they had 15 I believe of their Shaman exclusive with red G10 and I think it was 3v steel it was that or 4v. They only had 380 I think of them and 15 in their actual stores in AL. They sold out online in less then 2 min and people posted them on Ebay for 3-4x what they were soon after. Spyderco discontinued a lot of knives that I wanted this year so I bought a bunch of them. The Opus, Q Ball, Hanan, stepped blue Ti Chapparal, Magnitude, Bradley Junction, Advocate, 2 Squareheads, Lil Sub Hilt, Mantra 2, Southard flipper think that is it. I might buy a Hundred Pacer, Lil Temperance 3, and Lil Lum since a few sites still have them. Saw Blade HQ and a couple other sites just had knives that got discontinued in 2018 or 2017. I like that Spyderco offers such a variety of steels and locks. I have a handful of different steels in my Benchmade and ZTs too but not like my Spydercos. Seems most all ZT is either s35vn or 20cv. Fine I like both steels, I have one ZT that is s110v I believe its either that or s90v, and I have a cpm154 and s30v too but most every one is s35vn or 20cv. With my Benchmades most are all 154cm or s30v with some 20cv, ATS34, M390, and s90v. Most my Spydercos are s30v but I have M4, Cru Wear, VG10, s35vn, m390, PSF27, Maxamet, CTS204p, CTS-XHP, CTS-BD1 and BD1n and whatever else I have know they offer plenty other steels too.
Love to learn from other people... I see the value now.
Thanks my brother
Great video. Love my Spydercos! (Para 3, Delica 4 and DF2) I don't like thumb studs at all anymore. Really looking forward to picking up a PM2 ,Shaman and Native 5 someday. I love choils.
Great video. I'm surprised not to see any of the Marcin Slysz Spyderco's in your collection. I am a big fan of the PM2 and Para 3 with the compression lock but I love the Slysz line and all that Titanium. Amazing knives.
I like your passion, it come through this video. A lot of good information. I personally was never into knives, and now something happened and became a fan. Would love to have a Spyderco, but don't know yet which. Definitely a USA made one and not a big one, rather a medium size. Thanks for posting!
I own a Para 3 and love it!
I also have a Shaman on order. I can't wait to get it!
I enjoyed your Spyderco review very much!
Spyderco is an acquired taste. At least it was for me. I didn't get it until I bought my first made in Golden knife, the Para3 light weight. The variety of blade steels that Spyderco uses is kewl.
I'm all in now.
Got to agree with your take on Spyderco’s...my favorite knife brand.
Great video, I absolutely adore Spydercos, I’ve had them on and off for about 15 years along with other knives but about a year ago I realised Spyderco were the absolute best looking knives of all time so I went big time on them, got 9 now including the Para 3 (greatest knife of all time in my eyes) and the Maxix 2, I use them all at my allotment, every day I pick a knife to take with me for the tasks ahead. I really want the Shaman, very pricey at £260 here in England (2023) but I’m definitely getting one, thanks again for video, great to watch your views and enthusiasm for Spydies 😁🗡️👍🏻
Just bought a Manix 2 today, can't wait for it. Had a old dragonfly my grandmother gave me when I was younger, lost it when I moved out from my parents place and hate that I didn't spend extra time digging for it.
Some good points. My collection so far 8 Spyderco's, 5 Benchmade, 1 offs of others.
New to Spyderco knives, have always carried a small gas station knife since 7 years of age, upgrading to Kershaw Leek that was the most $35.00 I’m to rough on stuff but 2 months ago I purchased a Dragonfly little thing is razor sharp and really good quality for a plastic handled knife, a week ago I received my Para 3 LW a fan was born my next will be the Kara and possibly Yojimbo today they delivered a Sharp Maker.
I'm debating on my next knife, manix 2 or super freek or shaman ? What's your take ?
Laughed when you said "what in the heck is that? I will never own one of them! ". 😆 I said the same thing, now I'm watching this while flipping my PM2. I just love these weird looking knives!
Damn it dude I was going to do a video on this but now you have said everything there is to say! Awesome video keep it up!
Thank you for that. I did not understand the hype. I handled one still my feelings are still not towards them, but thank you really!
The Spyderco Kapara is worth a try if you have a chance. I think it is great in every way including good looks.
just got my first- a dragonfly 2 in pink and s30v. i like their midsize and serrated stuff, but this one filled a niche i needed very well. cuts CRAZY well
Have a PM2 and a Delica. Absolutely love love love the Delica. Can’t tell it’s In My pocket even with sweatpants. So light weight. Just love the action on it. And yes, the blade gets thru everything rather easily
I also was immediately drawn to Spyderco. The tool aspect of them is just undeniable. I use my carry knives a lot throughout the day for work, days off, whatever day they make great users. My current favorite is my s110v manix lw. I (and it) can just cut All. Day. Long!!!
Yea I got a para 2 s110v. Love that steel. But I'm buying a manix 2 with m390 steel this week.. Everyone has been raving about bohlers m390. About time i see what all the hype is about. EBay seller has them with tan g10 scales for 140 bucks! I can't pass that up!
@@wchurchill419 m390 is great stuff. I had a para 3 in this steel and while the steel was super fun, the knife got sold. I just cannot stand the compression lock or the ergonomics of the para models, among a bunch of other stuff. I'm currently carrying a fullsize Benchmade griptilian with deathgripscales and it's phenomenal. Good luck with the manix!
@@robertmorano2372 thanks bud. Yea I have a couple benchmades as well. osborne 940 and 940-1. After the manix, the benchmade bailout (the one with the window breaker on the end) is next up on the list. I've been drooling over that one. The manix has a ball bearing lock, so that should be a nice upgrade compared to the liner lock. I'm not a fan of the liner locks either and I really like the axis lock but something strange happened to me over the weekend. I put some new titanium screws in my 940 and when I changed the pivot screw it seems the axis lock doesn't work as good as it used to. Its not as fluid. Im thinking they are really sensitive, idk? I prolly won't evwr change the screws on another one
Thank you for this video! I'm a new subscriber to your channel, and I literally typed: "What's the deal with Spyderco knives?" into CZcams, and this video came up. A lot of the time in the knife world it seems like form is held in a higher regard than function. Now that I understand that Spyderco has the reverse of that perspective in mind, I understand the design more, and they are definitely a lot more interesting to me now.
Im lucky to live an hour north of golden. Its ao cool to walk into a store and see so many spyderco models. Plus it was a great place to learn about knives and steel
I have two spyderco knives. A spyderfly balisong, and the yojimbo 2 folder. I love them.
I’ve been a fan of Spyderco for years and the one that I own that is my favorite is the Janisong. I managed to pick one up a year ago and love it. Funny thing is I was mindlessly flipping it, managed to drop it less than a foot above my right leg, and it is so scary sharp the only thing that stopped it was my femur. I’m to much of an idiot to go to the ER, so I have a nice scar now and it managed to hit a specific nerve that makes it feel like someone is pulling up on my kneecap when I push on the scar. Such a weird but cool feeling. Yeah, I might be strange, but sometimes the story behind a scar can be the most entertaining or beautiful story.
I own a lot of knives. Spyderco, Benchmade, Cold Steel, Kershaw, I have close to 50 pocket knives. The one I carry the most is the Spyderco Cat. The Cat is the perfect EDC for me. Small with a deep carry wire clip , 440C steel is easy to sharpen, very practical and not offensive to non knife people.
My favourite Spydy is the Domino. I have the PM2 and the Delica, which are great. But the Dominos red carbon fibre and grip just fits my hand very well. Thanks for the vid. I enjoyed it.
my first “nice” knife was a toss up between a osbourne benchmade and the p.m.2. went with the spiderco and use the crap out of it for last 3 yrs. dropped it last yr and of course it landed on the tip while over concrete😡. chipped the tip off and put it up for months. finally sent it in and got it reground, and they disassembled it for me and cleaned it up. now it’s brand new and they sent me some stickers. great company and look forward to another purchase in the future!
The beauty of functionality! I own a Benchmade and a Hogue OTF. I want to buy a Spyderco. After watching your fine video, I will try to get a Shaman, with the best blade steel and handle. It will probably be my favorite EDC knife! Thumbs up!
They are made to do very well for what they are designed for, and they carry a great style.
Thanks for the great video; love the Spydies so addictive
Like a lot of people, I didn't get Spyderco knives and the hole. I then bought a PM2 and you instantly understood. I now love their knives.
Spyderco made my entrance into the knife world. The Delica especially. I was heavily drawn to the Paramilitary 1 ( back then, soon later the Paramilitary 2 dropped). The thumb hole was heavily pleasing to my aesthetics. Stagnated a bit with the extensive variation dropping and rise of prices in the last years having a Manix, a Paramilitary 2, a Caribbean and a Delica (others I sold on the way and regretted partially). Just today I pulled the trigger on a Yojimbo finally.
My entrance into the knife world was a birthday present from my father in 1968. A new Buck 110 folder with black leather sheath. Carried it for some years. I field dressed deer completely including splitting the center ribcage bone to easily remove the internal heart lung organs. Cut open lower area for removal of gut without drenching meat in urine. Switched out the Buck in mid 1980s for Benchmade AFO 2 auto
Been running Spyderco since the original Police.
All these decades and tries with other makers and the classic Spyderco design is still my go-to.
I currently run a Ti Military and a few Endura 4’s (The Millie is my dress knife).
Really I’m over trying any other brand for folders.
As a dude that lives in Wyoming having the ability to open a knife 1 handed wearing any glove is huge.
I still remember my first one back in 95 or 96, Cliffhanger was amazing and a buddy had a Native 1 or 2 full spydie edge and I had a cold steel lockback(think Buck 110). We traded that day and I carried it until I lost it while in the military in 2006. Loved that blade I have a vg10 native 3full spydie edge and a Native 5 lightweight 1st release which was in S35VN instead of S30V. I always wished it was bigger like my GB2 I just got the Native Chief in M390 and I'm atoked
I want a shaman or a manix but i cant deside wich one im gonna buy. Please recommendations or tips
Gotta be honest the pm2 tanto might be my favorite knife. More tip strength with geometry and everything else that's great about the pm2
Just order my first, it’s the spyderco paramilitary 2 blurple. Can’t wait for it to show up in the mail.

If a spiderco knifes doesn’t have the insignia is it fake or vintage?
I just watched your video very informative, I'm going to buy my second Spyderco because of you already have the Yojimbo2 love it but never thought about getting another one. Really like the look of that Manix, where did you get those scales? I want one just like that. Keep putting out the great content, I just subscribed to your channel
