In this video showing the unexplored village beauty of Kodaikanal. We were travelled to Poondi via Poomnabari, Kokkal Lake and Mannavanur. Beautiful roads, aroma of eucalyptus oil, pine trees and beautiful villages; it was an amazing experience of the village life, their agriculture and extraordinary scenaries.
Poombarai is located at the heart of the Palani hills, 18 kilometers from Kodaikanal. Points of interest include terraced farming that gives the village an aesthetic landscape.
Mannavanur is a serene farming village in Dindigul District, Tamil Nadu - 35km away from Kodaikanal. This quaint village has terrace farms that are cut into the hill slopes. It offers nature-lovers a chance to experience the farm life, especially spotting rabbits, sheep and other animals. The Mannavanur Lake adds tranquillity to this picturesque town. This is also a stop on many trekking routes in the area.
Poondi village is a small and charming village situated at a distance of 40 km from Kodaikanal. The village is nestled amidst lush greenery and offers spectacular views of the surrounding hills. One of the most striking features of the village is the Poondi Lake, which is a man-made lake and a popular tourist spot in the area. Visitors can enjoy boating and fishing here.
