- Enjoy a one hour mix of the original soundtrack from one of my favorite movies of 2017, Blade Runner 2049. This continuous mix, cut and rearranged, contains all the scores from the motion picture soundtrack by Hans Zimmer and Benjamin Wallfisch, minus various songs. Let this be the way the soundtrack was meant to be heard!
Original music composers: Hans Zimmer & Benjamin Wallfisch.

Reading the comments I have to agree, I feel privileged that I've watched this masterpiece in the theatre with my wife. Most of the people left half way through the film. I feel that this movie, along with the original, is one of the best films I've watched in my life and this amazing soundtrack compliments it.
Such a good fucking movie, I saw it in theaters, 16 at the time. Being 19 now, it's still easily one of my favorite movies. The soundtrack was literally one of the best things I have heard in a film. Such a masterpiece of a film. It didn't do well at the Box Office, but now I have bragging rights that I saw it when it came out in theaters.
da fuq people actually left half way through?? my biggest regret was not watching this in the pictures!
Most people don't have the attention span for a slow burn like Bladerunner. I say FTN, Bladerunner and it's sequel are easily top 5 of my cinema of all time list....
@Leo Tuzzo Ha, u got me beat. I saw it twice...
@@palmereldritch_6669 FTN? Pardon my ignorance lol.
My lil story to the movie: As a huge Blade Runner fan I had to watch this one in the theatres when it came out. I picked an old small theatre; they used old plane seats from the 70s, huge and comfy. And I didnt go when the movie was released but waited a few weeks. So at that evening there werent many people in the cinema. It was silent and I could feel that the other people were BR fans too. Of course watching it was amazing, although after watching it only one time, I couldnt possibly grasp all the hints and meanings. The best thing for me was though, when I left the theatre, it was dark in the city, there were no people (the theatre was inside a luxurious restaurant, so the people stayed there after watching) and it was raining. Its as if the atmosphere from the movie carried on to real world and I walked home, in the rain, enjoying every second of my way home, thrilled by the experience I had while watching while it continued, even when the movie was over. I wont ever forget this unique experience. Those movies will always be a special part of my life.

Privilage to experience a current and future classic in the cinema.
This film was an absolute atmospheric masterpiece. I was disappointed with how poorly received and advertised it was. Deserved much better and I'm gutted that I didnt get to watch it in the cinema :(
Same. Here.
Dennis was proud of the work he directed so by and large the movie in my opinion was a success.
It wasn't received well because most people weren't a target for this movie. It is futuristic movie, which shows how the human spieces can fall into disarray and with doom looming over entire spiecies. And that's what our poor snowflakes can't handle ;(
just like the original, it will be hailed...........later.
sometimes, people just don't get it till they get it
It did flop because idiots don't have enough attention span they just want to watch trash like Transformers or FF movies but this movie was very well received by critics, watch Chris Stuckmanns review, he gave it an A+
The best thing my dad ever did for me was - the moment 2049 got announced - force me to watch the original to then drag me to the movies and see this one. I'm so grateful for that.
thats awesome
that's awesome. My dad hadn't seen either of the Blade Runners, which surprised me (he was born in the late 60s). I forced him to watch both :)
Your dad is a legend
Not much of a legacy from father to son. But...okay.
Most underrated film of all-time. Should've broken every record there is, acting 10/10, cinematography 10/10, ambiance 10/10, creativity 10/10 story line so far ahead of it's time it's insane. Did I mention it's a sequel to a movie that's a 10/10. Sounds 10/10, atmosphere 10/10. MOVIE 10/10.
I’d give the first one an 8/10. This was a definite 10/10. I watched both at home for the first time and I watched them in succession. First blade runner: the final cut and then blade runner 2049. The first one was good. The second blew me away from start to finish. Absolutely totally enthralled

I've finally made peace that BR is simply not for normies; even many people who enjoy sci-fi. Everything Philip K. Dick, & BR appeals to a very small group. The Critical Drinker is my best movie review channel & I was gutted when he just didn't get 2049, or the 1st one, from the manner he referred to it. It's most unfortunate that anything big budget simply has to have mass appeal to make the grade.
I still don't understand the advertising & promotion for 2049, & the 3 anime which I only found a year after their releases. Hardly anyone knows about the 3 director commissioned anime that fill in parts of the timeline betwixt the 2 movies.
On my first watch I didn't really understand this movie. It takes a few watches before you actually appreciate and understand what it tries to do. I will say I definitely agree with you. First watch I'd give it an 8/10 after the third watch, yeah it's a solid 10/10. Great movie, great atmosphere I think it just won't appear to normies who don't watch it consecutively which is really sad because this movie really highlights how ironic and chaotic the human condition is. I give Ryan Gosling his due. He deserves to be recognized for this film. He did a great job.

The first one is a masterpiece by Vangelis. An instant classic in electronic music, but I like the way this one is done: paying tributes to the old one and, in the same time, bringing new life/vibe/depth/atmosphere to the new one. Perfect combination.
I had this playing through headphones while reading the Dune books. There does not exist a more perfect combo.

That was not a movie it was art. This music is so well done and ties to the movie so well its just masterful. Remember that bit in the movie where Deckard heard Rachel's voice from the original movie - that look of pained familiarity was just so powerful. An amazing movie. I hate to say it but I look at the ka-pow and ka-splatt movies like everything Marvel and I despair at the future of entertainment.
Despair the facts. One must face them. You can always say no,though.
Just listening to this score makes me wish for another movie. I really hope that Denis has another one on his mind. It was good and really refreshing. I can't wait to watch his take on The Dune.
Dune was so good as well. Just watched the movie in Dolby Atmos theatre
Gosling is amazing in this, as is Ford... it's a true sequel - doesn't try to reload the concept, just picks it up and runs with it. Up to audience to keep up. Started watching it again last night. Every details is beautifully thought through.
I haven't seen the original blade runner, but this movie still made sense to me and I didn't feel like there were any exposition dumps. This did just a good a job at being a stand alone movie
The soundtrack during the Sea Wall sequence gave me shivers when I first saw the film, incredible and awe inspiring. A truly brilliant film.
The same happened to me - it totally blew my mind to pieces! I couldn’t process anything I was just stuck and so emotional
When those spinner limos appeared and turned … I can only describe it as soul goosebumps, and still can’t figure out how Villeneuve achieved that affect [affect, not effect]. It wasn’t just the sights and sounds at that moment, it was crafted from earlier somehow. Only wore off on, oh, the 15th viewing. Utterly unique and remarkable.
Nobody has the guts to make movies like this now. And that’s a shame coz classics like this are rare enough as it is. And I don’t think any other director could have pulled it off. Hearing the music for the sea wall sequence gives me goose bumps especially when I hear it through headphones. What on earth goes through the mind of a man who can create a sound like that. And if it's a trick of the way the sound is mixed to simulate a 7.1 speaker setup through your headphones then literally any headphones can play that back, it's the quality of the playback that matters the most when you're listening with headphones rather than the format. The bass in this amazing soundtrack was so intense that I could feel the ground shaking in the cinema. It felt like the theater's soundsystem was barely able to handle it. Was awesome!
Throughout the movie I caught myself saying: "how in the hell have we managed to degrade our environment so much in just 28 years?". Well, I think people hated this movie because authentic art speaks the cold, hard truth, and the truth is not in demand these days, what is in demand is entertainment.
Think that's a bit much, people didn't like the movie because it took it's time. Most movies are so fast paced that people are now used to keeping their attention spans so low that things are boring when they are only a bit too long.
@@bishoscorner4945 I can second this seductive Garfield
@@heisenberg9306 Thank you Anakin Skywalker, Master Anakin Skywalker
@@bishoscorner4945 absolutely. Social media and smartphone addiction are making attention spans shorter and shorter. People can't focus anymore. But it's not only that: it's also the constant stimuli people receive using smartphones. Therefore, anything that takes a little bit of time and doesn't have constant stimuli is considered "boring" immediately. That's one of the reasons MCU superhero movies work (I have nothing against those movies, they're good entertainment, but just that, entertainment).
Really sad what's happening, people are missing on real life. It makes me sad when I see people taking their dog out for a walk and they're so addicted (they don't even notice) that they just can't stop staring at their phones... truly hijacked.
Damn straight
Blade Runner 2049 an Interstellar are for me the two best movies of the previous decade, or the only movies that really moved me and I will never stop coming back to them from time to time.
Interestingly, I've watched Blade Runner 2049 a good few times already, but the more I watch it the more amazing I find it.
Listening to this soundtrack, certain parts make my eyes teary no matter how many times I listen to it.
Agreed! Interstellar has some annoying aspects though, especially when re-watching (very obvious plotholes [really, they would make the idiotic decision to fly down to the time-dilated planet first with almost no discussion?] and the "love conquers all" theme is kind of childish). Blade Runner 2049 is practically flawless minus Jared Leto's high school drama club acting 🤣
Since covid began, cinemas in my town been closed until last week, they opened up with this movie. When i tell you guys, that it was so fucking crowded and everyone loved the movie. What stuck with me the most was the soundtrack, i get goosebumps when i listen to it.
Interstellar and Blade Runner 2049 gave me the feeling no other film experience could have given me.(except for Memories of Murder of Bong Joon Ho and Dohon - an Indian film by Rituparno Ghosh)
19:18 my favorite piece of soundtrack from the whole movie
its from the original
i was so hyped to see this movie in theatre, anticipating release for months, decided to experience it on 2C-B, was truly a spiritual experience. expertly crafted a true cinematic masterpiece and tragically underrated. Blows my mind when somebody tells me they haven't seen this movie I force them to watch it and anybody who is talking or distracted by their phone gets a severe tune up. the art deserves our respect.
It is shitty art tho.
Honestly, I'm happy I watched it alone cuz this movie is too much of a masterpiece to watch with someone else. You need to be thinking about it all the time.
I was fortunate to have been in Portugal in a big theater alone. There was one couple but they walked out. It was one of the most immersive experiences I've ever had. Full sound I just floated through the whole thing from start to finish.
I went with my partner and sister in law. Both of them fell asleep, but i loved every second of this movie. Audiences have little to no attention. Master piece of cinema with atmosphere which challenged your senses and feelings what it is to be human and free.
The Blade Runner soundtrack is amazing, new and old..
One of the best films of the last few years. The soundtrack is impeccable.
I’ll never forget the day I saw this in the theater. I left feeling elated, confused, anxious, heartbroken, and yearning for more all at the same time. To this day, my all time favorite film. Denis Villeneuve is a genius. Eagerly awaiting Dune pt.2!!

I’ve only regretted two things in my life -
1. Not watching blade runner 2049 in theatre
2. Not watching interstellar in theatre
And both of these have one thing in common - Hans Zimmer !
Most of my favorite movies have soundtracks composed by Zimmer. He is simply incredible
in future, the number of your regrets will increase, and many times over. Many perfect movies will be made, and you will miss them.
Very few films ("movies") are as good as the sound-track but the balance here is atomically perfect.
I was lucky enough to see this in a Maxx cinema but even luckier with the audience that watched it. It was treated with pure respect and silence, no phones, no-one left. Honestly it was a surreal experience for a cinema. I'm glad reading the comments below that many people had the same wonderful appreciation and value of it
A masterpiece that nobody watched. My friend and I didn't speak once because we were captivated. Easily one of the best sci-fi movies ever. Hopefully He gets more recognition after Dune comes out because he is an epic director.
Yeah - 'epic' is acctualy a pretty acurate description if it comes to him. I'm so tired of these times - where everything must be turned up to '11'.
Original Blade Runner was not appreciated at launch either. It can be too hard to digest for your average movie-goer. It grew popularity as time went and people started to see what a masterpiece it actually was. The same will be with this movie I guess. I love it to death though and I regret it so much that I did not go see it in the theaters.
I'm gonna be honest, I wasn't expecting a good movie after all these years.
Glad I was 100% wrong on that :)
It was an exceptional movie :)
Same here! I was so in love with the first one, that I thought this one will be a piece of sh?=T .... I was wrong... Master piece again, great homenage to the Ridley Scott' work, and very respecful with the original screenplay, full of beauty and philosophy♥
@@alejandrasandoval4758 Totally agree, I was so nervous going into the cinema that I was going to hate it.... Then once I'd relaxed, just completely lost myself in it. Masterpiece and 'love letter' to the original, you could tell the director DV loved and respected the original as the fans did. So lucky to have this film.
5 years later, this movie and masterful soundtrack still slaps hard
Es gibt keinen Film der mich so fasziniert hat wie Blade Runner. 2049 hat dem ganzen noch mal die Krone aufgesetzt. Nur von dem Soundtrack bekomme ich eine Gänsehaut.
Big fan of the first Blade runner and it’s soundtrack. I loved the sequel and I liked the soundtrack ...dark and soothing to my ears....
a tear drops down the cheek and leaves a furrow like a blade. Time to cry
What a beautiful music
Astonishing soundtrack.
Seeing this at IMAX is one of my greatest experiences.
1. The best sequel since the empire strikes back
2. The most underrated movie ever 😭
Very underrated, yes. Most underrated? It has to be up there.
But T2 and Aliens would both debate you about 'best sequel ever'. 😏
You know a soundtrack is good if listening to it brings vivid scenes to your mind.
I watched this movie in theaters never seeing the original and having no idea what I had watched after it was over and I eventually forgot about it. After recently watching the original then watching this movie again. HOLY HELL this movie is fricking awesome. Easily shot up to one of my favorite movies of all time. Such an amazing story. Everything about it I fell in love with. Compared to the avengers crap Disney pumps out, this movie is untouchable.
Sci Fi always pushed the boundaries of future potential, coupled with visionary seers who seem to arrive just when we need them.
Denis villenouve with his unique palette and vision; Hans zimmer et al, thank you, including actors and behind the scenes workers who rarely get accolades. Without them masterpieces like this never surface.
Saw this movie 4 times in the theater. This is hands down one of the best soundtracks in film history. Still gives me chills from the first notes...
One of the best soundtracks.. ever.
There are not enough superlatives to describe the delight in listening to this. And 18:32 + just omfg
Zimmer just finished this movie off with Perfection!
No one else could’ve done a better job. He is just in another league.
Probably his most underrated Score as well. Deep, Dark, Atmospheric, and Futuristic. Just perfect in every way possible. So emotional.
I watched this film in IMAX on opening day, the theatre wasnt as full as I was expecting. There was a smile on my face once the intro started, I held my girlfriends hand for the entire film. She loved Blade Runner just as much as I did. After it was over, we couldnt stop talking about how amazing it was. We went home and listened to the soundtrack right away. We drank, we smoked, and we made passionate love. Eventually we fell asleep holding each other to "All the Best Memories are Hers/Tears in Rain".
One of the best memories of my life, and hopefully the same for her too.
One if the film's themes is replication. I hope you replicate many times together.
This film was an absolute masterpiece. Thank you for this mix.
So glad Hans is doing the dune score , couldn’t have picked anyone better
This movie was so good! Excited to see what Denis Villeneuve will do with Dune.
Greatest film of this year i'm sure. Can hardly wait to see it on cinema
I watched it and it's great
One of the best soundtracks movie ever. Masterpiece. Period.
I highly recommend listening to this with headphones...in a darkened room....
It's a truly emotional and orgasmic experience.
The highs, the low bass, the subtle background track.
You will be truly blown away.
I was....
The more I keep watching this on Netflix the more I love this masterpiece
This film is one of the best I’ve ever seen in my life. I watched it three times in the theater and have the DVD. I even bought Sapper Morton’s scalpel from the intro scene to open my mail. I can only hope there will be another Bladerunner film in my lifetime.
Movie logos at the beginning of a movie never gave me the amount of chills the ones at the beginning of 2049 did.
