Begode adds Field Weakening to Master V4, EX30 and Master Pro V3!!! Big news!

- This is what got my EX30 up to 65.4MPH going uphill on 75% battery. It only kicks in when needed. You won't lose low end torque. I think it begins at 70% PWM and ramps up.

Are the wheel PWM% alarms still functional with magnetic field weakening enabled? Will it beep accurately at 80-90% so we don't eat it? 😵
On my falcon, it is titled magnetic field increase speed. Settings of 0 through 9. I don't know where to set it yet. All I know is this wheel rips up to top speed pretty dang fast.

@roghaj What is the freespin at 90% field weakening on the EX30? Is your 65.4mph speed GPS corrected?
Are you finding the horizontal adjustment doesn’t save once you turn the wheel off and on again with this update? Happens with the EX30 not sure about the masters.
Change the horizontal adjustment under calibration in settings. Then it will be permanent.
Incredible stuff! Imma gonna take a pass as 50mph on my ex30 is more than nuff for practising sphincter action. Much prefer to get up to 50 faster so I'm gonna wait for the daredevils (thats YOU Roger 😅) to test the limits

It sounds like this would affect braking at high speeds and make the wheel more susceptible to cutouts, like hitting a bump and not having the torque to keep you up. I have no idea how this works, just saying what this sounds like to me.
Seems like an accurate assessment to me. Certainly some risk involved, but it does seem that the market is demanding more speed so the manufacturers are delivering.
Street riders will want higher speed of course. Higher torque is something off road riders prefer. Keep in mind if you’re a heavier rider you may want higher torque than higher speed. ;)
I did all that; but no "field weakening " option. I do have most updated Begode app. It rides fine. I hit 50 easy on it before this update. Strange i don't have option and not sure whats up maybe hardware something. I just got this wheel at Marty's tour so it's still newish with only 500 miles now. Thanks

0 field weakening on ET Max, free spin = 89mph (wheel speed)…90% field weakening on ET Max, free spin = 101mph (wheel speed). Sounded monstrous at 90% lol…it sits at 89mph for a few seconds on 0 FW, but it basically cutout right at 101mph on 90% FW. Very interesting…
I’m still on whatever firmware that came with the wheel when I bought it off you, love the wheel as is out the box so no need to mess with it 😁

So I guess I will try ALL of your settings. What will "Strong" mode feel like and "High" maximum allowed tilt angle do?
Strong will not tilt the pedal front when accelerating and back when breaking. It's a personal preference thing, I like when the pedals stay perfectly level it gives me more confidence. "High" maximum allowed tilt is for the side to side angle allowed before the wheel turn off. So if your like to ride burm you should keep it at high. But from what I've hear this doesn't really do anything and you should change the angle "left and right tilt angle closed". Don't put it much higher than 50 or else it won't turn off when learning it on its side.

Would this work on my Master with the version 4 control board? On another note, do you recall what the wire windings gage is in the c38 motor? If you do have one lying around would you take 80 dollars for it? I really appreciate what you do to support the righteous the wheel people, and the growing greater world...
The V4 master does support field weakening. The motor is used. I have no idea what gauge the wire is in there. I would be happy to sell it to you however shipping will probably be fairly pricey.

@roger Updated my ex30 and enabled the racing mode but still not showing the field weakening option on the menu.
you need to run the latest version of the Begode app. Unfortunately, it's not available on the App Store.
What about Begode extreme?
Looks like Begode should be adding it onto that firmware shortly
Roger what version of the begode app you have because I can't find the magnetic weakening function, I updated my app and can't find the option so weird

For some reason the weakening option is not displayed in the settings of my Begode app,although i updated to the latest firmware. Tried restarting everything,no luck. Any ideas? 🙏
Seems like the android app is lagging behind. works on iOS for now, give it a day or two for android.

This is what’s irritating about Begode, they ignore early versions like my Master v2.
Probably not ignoring you - the hardware may be limiting the ability to do this feature.

can anyone give me a detailed explanation on how this works and what it does besides decrease torque but add top speed? it seems like whatever this is can make a c40 motor act like a c30
The answers are out there. Long story short, it turns each phase on early and leaves it on longer.
