  • "Listening is the silent superpower of communication", says the media researcher and bestselling author Bernhard Pörksen. But what is listening really about? Why is it so difficult? How can it succeed? A talk about the art of listening with shocking and illuminating stories from the world of communication.
Bernhard Pörksen is a professor of media studies at the University of Tübingen. He does research on the power of public outrage and the future of reputation. He also publishes - besides scientific articles - essays and comments in many newspapers and magazines. The book he wrote together with the philosopher Heinz von Foerster ("Truth is the Invention of a Liar") and the book he wrote together with the psychologist Friedemann Schulz von Thun ("Communication as the Art of Living") have become bestsellers. In 2008, Bernhard Pörksen was chosen "Professor of the Year."
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx.

"Das Zuhören" ist instrumentalisiert mit Methode verschlossen worden. Außerhalb der Institution auch.
