bro avast saying "restart your computer, this is the only way to contain this threat" is the most badass movie scene type crap I have ever heard off an antivirus
Technically, you did make a mistake when not restarting your computer with Round 2 Mandela. When a virus infects the memory fast enough and is able to drop files into temporary directories, Avast does notice, but tries to make you start your computer. It then drops code into the registry to run Avast's protection system first before other non-essential things (such as winlogon, and other visual programs, basically starting it first the moment the windows loading logo disappears) and searches for and deletes anything related to the quarantined file. Viruses usally get around antiviruses by replacing critical windows processes with infected versions, which is why Avast requires a restart before it can finish removing all the damage some viruses cause. This means that Mandela, or an part of it, could have already been partially running (or already put into the startup folder) when you did Round 3 Mandela. As well as that Avast will also quit other processes and countinue clearing out files during system shutdown, hence the longer shutdown times after Round 3 Mandela. However, I just came accross your channel and I think it seems pretty cool! I hope to see some more amazing content!
Thanks! Mandela doesn't overwrite files, it DELETES them, like Task Manager or Registry. But because those aren't essential for the system, the system can boot fine.
@@skrecek5you're right, but the OS there (Windows 11 Insider Dev, Build 26120) is not the same as my OS (Windows 10 LTSC) and therefore I can't do that because they wouldn't be compatible.

Well, Avast is not the only antivirus that does that though, I saw Bitdefender & Kaspersky also say that restart is needed to disinfect this threat.
Very important
Yes , very helpful 👏

@@techAdv0 just grab a exe from the system32 folder with the same operating system on a different pc and place it onto the infected pc

Ok, keep in mind though I have another ideas to do and it can take a while
@@techAdv0 ok. 😉
Norton ?
Shred avast using the shred tool next video
LOL, yeah I think It would be a cool experiment!
@@techAdv0same
So against Mandela between Avast and Bitdefender which one did better?
Bitdefender killed it earlier
& bitdefender removed ALL the malware files
@@techAdv0 So Bitdefender performed better than Avast?
@Nunzio_77 of course
I meant yes, it performed way better
