Carl puts this Tamiya kit together in super quick time! Decals took a while to apply onto the pre-painted rally body but they were the perfect finishing touch before we took it out at on our Essential RC Test Track.
Based around a tough monocoque frame with integrated gearboxes, this compact 4WD chassis gives a thrilling drive whether you take it on road or flat dirt surfaces. It features a rear-mounted motor, with gear-driven rear wheels and a propeller shaft taking power to the front. Both front and rear gearboxes have differential gears. The battery pack location in the chassis centre secures excellent balance, while 4-wheel independent double wishbone suspension employs friction dampers. Off-road capable M-05Ra chassis uprights and hub carriers, plus rally block tires are also included.

Thank you for doing what none of us want to risk with our own!! 🍻 thank you camera person!
Our pleasure! We do it so you don't have to...😂😎
Please share on your social media. Would be great to have other Tamiya owners see this ! Cheers.
I admire the rally cameramen who put themselves in great danger to get us these shots 😏
I wish I had the skill to drive like that. Good video.
That's pretty cool! I bought a buggy thinking my dog's and cat's would enjoy it. The cat's don't care, they just sit up on something high and watch it. My shitzu is afraid of it and my yellow labrador is afraid too, but does chase it and runs away with his tail between his legs when it goes towards him all the while barking. It sits in my closet most of the time.
Yup that looked fun 👍🏻
The driving video is cool.😄👍😄👍
Thank you for sharing a great video.
Have a good day. 💪😀💪
You're not afraid of it! Awesome to see this lovely ripping around! Just subbed!
Thanks for the sub! Much appreciated 😎
Just brilliant dude
Nice I like it
THANKS for another GREAT video SIR. I love this car. On some of the jumps I was a bit concerned as if mine REALLY would not want to damage her lol.🇬🇧♥️💯👍🤩
Thanks for watching Mike! On that surface no problem at all. Most were relatively soft landings.
I am amazed that didn't brake during jump's. I have the tamiya M06 and one day broke the front suspension because of a puddle from the first ride and i quit from this brand . But in the video i see that this chassis took very serious hit's and survive.
Glad my durability test video helped reassure you lol
That's a Tesla Model 3 with a Ford Escort body. :-P
Hi Essential RC nice to see you posting great vids... When is your next live stream?
Live streams Wednesdays and Saturdays at 1900 BST/UTC/UK
@@EssentialRC Watching ur stream now
Do you have the Citron 2cv rally edition of the mo5 ra? If you do I would like to see you run that I've never seen that with the rally tires run in any video yet.
Afraid not
Wow got some go, surely can't have the 1600 crossflow in there?
Are you familiar with the tl01s the drive shaft in the mf01x seems to be thick like that one was on that chassis.
Not familiar with that I'm afraid
At 2:00 HAHAHA, LOL 😃👍.
Are these 12 mm wheels? By the way I love this car I just ordered one shipping was so high I didn't want to press the button to buy but hell I'll be 50 on May 26th sort of a treat for myself. I was wondering if those buckets in the front couldn't be used to hold lights? And if you would be so kind could you tell me if it has bearings then the paint color or no it's white but the actual color code would be great. I would like to order the bearings and paint ahead of time
Apologies for late reply. Haven't had chance in a while to sit down and catch up on the comments.
I think they are 12mm wheels yes. Fog buckets at the front are also led holders yes. Kit comes with bushes but I upgraded to bearings. Paint code not sure.
I've just bought the mk2 and also a razor ten brushless combo 40000 kv motor can't wait to get it built, what up grades would you recommend.
Oil damped shocks are an essential upgrade in my opinion
Hi nice vid,
Is it in the high or low suspension mode?
Greetings from Germany
Highest setting
Question if I may, how is the suspension? It does not look like it has much travel at all. Is this a 4wd model? Thanks 🙂
It doesn't have much travel. It isn't really intended for sending massive jumps like we did here. Just pushing it lol. But yes it is 4WD
What motor is in it and did you put oil filled dampers on it?
Stock motor and yes oil filled shock upgrade fitted
Nice!! just needs a bit of shock tuning!
I dont think any amount of shock tuning would ready it for the abuse I put it through that day 🤣
2:30 practicing to be an American
👌👍
is this compatible with lips? if so what cells?
The car's manual doesn't recommend lithium-polymer batteries as it "may cause damage to the components." Tamiya isn't clear about it so I assume it shouldn't be a big risk, it just has to be a 7.2 volt battery.
I ran it on a 2 cell lipo yes. No problem
You should end the video of the list of parts you had to replace
None. It held up really well
@@carlbrain3758 makes the video even cooler!
Don't know why people would buy one of these I know they look good 👍 but they run like a toy on plastic wheels.
Far better to go with an arrma or axial 🏆
Hi I'm
You're...what?! 🤔😄
@@EssentialRC I think he/she is still thinking. 🤔
@@EssentialRC It says right there. A mannequin 🤣
