Tyler flies in less than ideal conditions on the first day (i.e. Friday) of the Airliner Meeting Show. There was a 15mph cross wind but that didn't stop him from getting this big quad EDF powered jet into the air.

This unique EDF jet was constructed by @RamyRC in Atlanta and shipped to Germany just for this show. It weights 149KG and is powered by 4 200mm EDFs running on 14S. The maximum pack capacity used per EDF is 17000mah. Wingspan is 6.4 meters (21 ft), length is 6.35 meters (20.9 ft).
No doubt that bigger RC aircraft fly better but they are also affected more by the wind so great job by flying this beautiful giant on that day. Watch out for a few more videos of this Ramy RC project flying on the other days of the show.

Tyler Perry is a legend, he hires Ramy who is super talented to build him a fleet of the biggest most amazing RC planes ever built. I hope this partnership goes on for a while, these videos are amazing.

Followed the whole build on Ramy's channel. Every enthusiast should go watch. Tyler obviously recognized Ramy's amazing skills and I guess has hired him for several projects including this one. His Atlanta estate with RC hangar/workshop and airfield are breathtaking. He had to push Ramy to take a turn flying her Ramy was so nervous having never flown anything that big.😂 Love it, thanks for sharing.

As an airline pilot I was very impressed with his skill. The wind conditions were not ideal and those trees create a lot of scale turbulence. He greased it on too. I think he could fly the real thing without issue.

@@memcrew1scale turbulence, meaning for a normal aircraft, wouldn’t produce much of an issue, but at the scale of this aircraft, it gave it significant turbulence.

dude..... ive watched alot of these rc videos... but this was EPIC. Here is why. The accuracy of the landing gear mechanisms when retracting and extending. The main gear rotation into the pockets are STUNNING. Well done.
LIke so many of us, I've followed RamyRC for years and that he and the team was able to build such an impressive, HUGE aircraft doesn't surprise me in the least. His ability to put these kind of birds together boggles the mind - and I'm thrilled to see that someone with a few $ is able to support him in his efforts. What a deal. I can't wait to see what he and Tyler come up with next.
I saw a project in progress while I was there. He may show a glimpse of it in his video this Friday

What I like about his take offs are he just throttles up around the corner! No fussing around around with waiting , he just go's!

Well he flown that a few times at his house 800 ft runway in Atlanta. Tyler has the biggest collection of electric planes.

I must say if that truly is Mr. Perry's first flight with that C-17 Globemaster, he did it like a true Professional. I'm no pro myself but he did a wonderful job in the air, I only hope to get that good eventually. Congratulations, Mr. Perry, Happy landings to you.

When I was stationed at Cherry Point Air Station they had an RC club that would meet on Sundays. A guy had a brand new Fokker DR1. It was huge. Probably the most beautiful model on the base. On its maiden flight it stalled in a turn and slipped into the tarmac. The crowd went silent and slowly walked over to the wreckage. We hugged the pilot who was quietly weeping

It's like in the Military, the Plane belongs to the ground crew, the Pilot only flies it.

I'm just in awe of anybody that can fly whether it's the real thing or RC.
An impressive aircraft and matching pilotage.
Good sensible piloting for those conditions but I'm looking forward to them emulating a full size C-17 display like you might see at Royal International Air Tattoo, Fairford or a similar full size display. I would like to see it pushed harder and faster in the turns to compliment the slow flight and power Tyler demonstrated over the weekend at this event.
Proud moment for a African American having flying control in a important project...im very impressed...Don't matter the color...we can work together be on the future.

At what point is a flight plan required by the FAA!? That is amazing.
The German aviation authority took them through 1 day of certification process to check it was airworthy for flight and the event would have had a NOTAM to full size traffic to avoid the area for the duration of the event. Any RC aircraft over 25KG is treated a lot like a full size aircraft these days.

Thanks Andrew. Never thought I would get to see it in person. I've done some single fan 14S EDF projects but this is just epic. His plans for 2 years time are going to push the limits of EDF much further apparently.
