🤣My wife wishes my drums would disappear...
And the neighbors... and the police 😂
Don't feel bad so does mine I have 2 dw kits tama gretch 1950s Sonor Birch and I'm a snare collector have 31 snares my wife says 1 day she gonna put everything on the street...welcome to the club I guess
Good one!
The ghost notes strike back!
I think my neighbors would like to do the same with my kit.😄
Cheers🍻
BRAVO! That was fun to watch, and an inspiration to this 62 year old amateur drummer.
Glad you enjoyed it! Steve
Great playing Steve! The kit sounds great and that Fibes Snare!
Absolutely loved it. See ya Sunday!
Thanks! This was fun to do and brought me back to the routine I did in the 70s. I had forgotten about it and came across an old picture from a gig and it started me thinking about doing this again. As an aside, there is no digital editing in terms of my playing. There’s one continuous solo, not segments pieced together. The items on the set were removed in real time as I’m playing. When we moved the ride cymbal and then the left side cymbal we deliberately didn’t show them being taken away, but when the bass/tom, floor tom, HH, SD are removed you can see my guy walking them off the stage. In the latter narrative half of the video I talk about how this can also be an exercise in continuity and also spontaneity and creativity. Working with less and still keeping the rhythm and ideas flowing naturally. And, it gives me a chance to play one of my favorite sets of all time and my personal Fibes snare!!
Thanks for the great practice advice! 👏🏻
Best wishes from Croatia!
Very fun I've done this at a gig a few times it always gets laughs and applause lol enjoyed
This is what I needed to watch to start my day
Good life lesson as well Steve... Been having things disappearing in my life lately business wise andI have to find out how to keep it rolling and navigate through... Wow I must have seen this for a reason, funny sometimes how paths cross and we receive messages along the way... THANKS STEVE!!
Glad to help. Yes, navigating through everything we’ve been faced with for the past 3 years is no easy task! I try to keep smiling and also try to keep having fun. Drums bring me that “fun factor”.
Fun stuff!
Great playing and great story!
Hey Steve great video I was 1 of the guys who brought 2 brady snare drums from you a couple yrs back and a friend of mine brought the other 2 from you I'm so glad I did there really pricey now and hard to find at a good price
A Buddy-worthy performance, Steve that was FUN to watch!! Bit of a collector here, & i'll bring out 2 pc. every now & then that "encourages" creativity...
Great video!! And playing!
True Ghost notes
Reminded me of an Akira Jimbo video where they do the same thing. I think in the end he's just left drumming on his legs.
Lol, love it!
Hope Steve got his gold sparkles back!! 😂🥁
This was one of my favorite videos l've watched from you!
I'm curious what snare drum you were using.
Keep up the great work! :)
Thanks! The snare was my personal Fibes. Chrome over fiberglass.
That's a fantastic snare!
I appreciate your reply.
I wish I could make my vistalite sound like this kit :(
Cool fun video! What cymbal stands were you using?
Flexing 😂
