Honestly, I was surprised to watch Nigerian women press the Brazilian women. The Nigerian women created a lot of chances especially in the first half that could have been converted to one or two goals but they lacked good finishers. All in all, they made us proud.

I think the team and the Coach did their best. But the best was not enough for us to get a point from the game. The Nigeria 0-1 loss to Brazil is caused by late arrival to training Camp in Spain. A team with new players should have named the squad on time. We should have played 3 or more friendly games before a tournament as huge as Olympics. We only played one match, a Grade A match against Canada. We forgot to play lesser teams, to win some games and boost the confidence of our goal scorers and our team. On player vs player, there is no team in our group or the tournament that is far better than Super Falcons squad. Brazil won the game by inability of our players to convert our own chances. Brazilian Samba girls also deployed delay tactics to frustrate of players, in order to preserve their goal advantage. It is very difficult to play good football while struggling to endure painful frustration from that sort of delay-tactics. On the other hand, the Referee should have cautioned some of the Brazilian fake diving with yellow cards. This lost match is a huge lesson for us. I think our players need to do more practice on goal scoring before our second match. If we combine well upfront we will create many goal-den chances and score many goals against Spain. I trust our girls. I am very sure they will rise up strong in the second match. Nigeria Super Falcons will beat Spain with a difference of 2 Goals. @SportsCorner GH - Your analysis was excellent. Chiamaka Nnadozie was the man of the match. Followed by Deborah Abiodun and Rashedat Ajibade. Michelle Alozie was also fantastic especially being a versatile player to play right and left wing back in a high profile match. Finally, I believe Spain is in a different class and Japan are a highly technical team. It would be a miracle for the Super Falcons to get even a point from the remaining two matches, but it is not impossible.
