Does anyone have tips that would help me do active recall whilst making "summarries questions, with correct answers" during the semester, so I don't have to go over it again during exam period?

Do med schools have homeworks/assignments? I just noticed most med student vloggers in the Philippines attend lectures the whole day, then reinforce what they learn by studying more or creating flashcards after class. No mention of homeworks/assignments at all so I’ve been curious.
