If my headphones have a mic on it would that work or would I have to have a stand alone mic
Hola. Puedo grabar y obtener 4 track por separado en una sd card?
Yes, that is a standard feature of the Zoom P4.
Hey I have the podtrak p4 and I’m having a really hard time trying to connect my 3rd mic. I have it plugged in but on my Adobe audition it only recognizes two mics :/ any advice?
Hi, the PodTrak P4 is not able to provide Multi Track Audio Interface functionality. It only works as a Stereo Audio Interface.
This is from the P4 Website: "The P4 can serve as a 2-input, 2-output audio interface, allowing you to record directly to your computer."
That means: plugging the P4 into your computer, you'll get two audio signals, the left and the right side. All the mics will be audible on those based on their gain setting. There is no way to record them in audition separated into their individual tracks. However, you can still record on the device and there you will get all the mics recorded into their own WAV files.
So if my guest is a musician and sings and plays will the P4 capture his (her) performance accurately assuming the mics are quality too?
Will there be lag?
If for instance you are on port one. Your guest voice is on port 2 and the guest guitars on port 3. There would not be any lag in the recording. More specifically, any lag would be collective. Everyone would be lagging the same distance so it would be invisible lag. It would not affect your ability as a guest to hear the recording. It would not affect the recording itself to make it sound awkward. Everyone would be on the same beat
Wow thats not cool they make you return it
No worries, testing was good and I am happy to provide this I formation for you. 🌸
